Chapter 11
Realm of Sey Eneerg
-Main POV: Misha-
Misha awoke, pissed off at Kat. She dreamed about Kat threatening to feed Deraj to her dragons. After invading his privacy. Misha wasn't surprised but she was pissed off. She wasn't sure how she was going to approach the subject with Kat as she didn't want any of her sisters knowing about the dreams, but she knew that she couldn't let Kat's threat slide either. And although Deraj had kept his mouth shut yesterday, that didn't mean he would cover for her today. Misha had felt his emotions in the dream and knew that Kat had spoken the truth. He likes her, but he doesn't want to. He doesn't want anything to do with me. Misha thought, a hollowness settling in her chest. She decided she'd give him space. He didn't know her and he clearly didn't want to.
Misha prepared for her day then walked downstairs for breakfast. Her sisters were all in the kitchen. They each had a cup of coffee in hand. Kat was frying bacon. Trinity was mixing eggs while Phoenix added seasonings to it. Evee sat on the counter, her feet lightly kicking the cabinet underneath. Misha walked straight to the coffee pot and began preparing her own cup.
"We're out of garlic salt. I don't see it anywhere," Phoenix said, turning to Evee. Evee held out her hand and a brand new bottle of garlic salt appeared. Phoenix grabbed it, nodding her thanks.
"I'm thinking we should separate the Nekawas and interrogate them. Divide and conquer," Kat said, clearly having not noticed Misha enter. Her back was still facing her.
"You mean that nicely, right? I don't want y'all hurting my friends," Misha said. Kat jumped and turned towards her.
"Oh, of course, Misha. I just think that they're more likely to talk if their friends aren't around," Kat said. Misha folded her arms over her chest, preparing her rebuttal.
"Kat is right, Misha. We have questions and they know more than they were saying last night," Trinity stated. Misha closed her mouth, her words stuck in her throat. She knew that they were right but she didn't like it.
"I presume you want Deraj to stay with you," Phoenix stated, earning herself a glare from her mate.
The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement.
"No! I'll take Star. And Annod," Misha said, surprising everyone.
"I'll take Deraj!" Trinity practically sang.
"No! You'll end up killing him. Leira can go with you and Deraj can go with Evee," Misha insisted.
"You're no fun. You just said you didn't want him. I don't get why I can't play with your unwanted toy. Phoenix, Misha's being mean!" Trinity whined, beating the eggs in aggravation.
"I'll take Aiden!" Kat declared, a mischievous glint to her glossy, bloodshot eyes.
"Why do I have to put up with Misha's boy toy?" Evee complained.
"Because Misha knows you're the least likely to kill him. And so does Trin, she just wants to kill him herself," Phoenix said as she put down the ingredient she had just added and rubbed her mates back. To Trin she continued, "All done babe,"
"A little murder is the perfect way to start a day," Trinity argued as she poured the eggs into the hot pan Kat had just taken the last of the bacon out of.
"So I guess that leaves me with Relyt and the silent Elyk. At least I get the quiet one," Phoenix stated.
"Does this babysitting job, that I'm not even getting paid for, mean that I'm not allowed to use my imagination?" Evee demanded.
"Yes!" Kat said immediately.
"No," Phoenix said right after, punching Kat in the arm. She continued, "As long as you keep him on the property you can use your powers. Unless the other bitches on the council show up early,"
"But what if he turns out to be an enemy?" Kat argued.
"Well then we'll kill him," Phoenix said, looking at Misha. Misha didn't argue, she knew better. If Deraj decided to be an enemy then he chose his own funeral and there was nothing she could do to stop it.
"Okay. And if he says anything to the council?" Kat asked.
"I don't intend to have any of our guests around those bitches. However if he somehow does, then we'll have to kill them. All of them," Trinity stated.
"Including the council?" Evee asked, bewildered.
"Especially the council," Phoenix clarified.
"But, that is a last resort," Trinity said, in case Phoenix needed the reminder.
"But-" Evee began.
"We've told you, honey, they cannot know about you. Not yet," Phoenix stated, Trinity and Kat nodding their heads in agreement.
"Is breakfast almost done?" Misha asked when her stomach grumbled.
"Yes," Trinity said as she turned off the stove and moved the pan to a cool burner.
"Finally!" Evee declared, a plate appearing in her hand. As they made their plates, Evee started glaring at the food.
"What?" Kat demanded.
"We need sweet honey ham!" Evee declared. A second later a whole huge ham on a platter appeared on the counter, steam coming off it.
"It's hot and ready!" Evee sang.
"But someone has to cut it, and I don't want to," Kat whined even as she stared at the ham with something akin to lust in her eyes.
"Do I have to do everything myself?" Evee demanded. She blinked and the ham was cut into thick chunks.
"As if you ever do anything yourself!" Kat growled.
"I know you just saw me slave over those eggs!" Trinity yelled, unamused with Evees statement.
"Why are y'all yelling? There's hot food to eat!" Phoenix said as she added her fair share of ham onto her plate.
Their plates ready, they sat at the table and dug in. Conversation came to a halt. Something akin to moans breaking the silence as they enjoyed their food.
