Chapter Thirty Three - Reunion

Chapter Thirty Three - Reunion

We were all soaked to the skin putting up Ràn's Shrine on the dock when the prompt to accept it as a shrine appear I was shocked at what it said.

Do you wish this to be a shrine? Yes/No?

Yes!

Please name the Deity to the Shrine.

Ràn!

Do wish to modify the Shrine or leave it as is? Yes/No?

(Warning the Goddess Ran will add a bonus if there is no modification done to the Shrine.)

This is the first time that I was asked not to change something I did by hand. Sure I had a few prompt if I want to add to the list for others to use but never for this.

"Yes."

Local Area Announcement!

A Shrine to Ràn has been built on the dock of Safehaven!

Shrine of Ràn

Tossing a Gold piece into the bowl carve at the base of the statue. The waves started to calm down, and the undead that was climbing out faded back into the sea. The wind s died down, but the rain continues,

Kari runs up, "Just got word that the rain had stopped to the East and Northeast, but the sea is still rolling with the storm off the shore. Rain should let up by tomorrow here. A side note from my contacts up north is that about half of the raiding party heading here was ambushed by Frost Jotunns that step out of a portal. There is talk in chat that all types of creatures are spawning everywhere that there are a group of reborns. So far, all the attack have been in the countrysides. Harpies, dragons, and Manicorns have been sighted. The City of Hasen is no longer standing it has been pulled into the sea. Several thousand unborns were killed and sent to other spawn points. It was the Kraken."

If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.

Looking toward the sea, "That the Imperium problem we are not under their gods' protection. Your right we should start looking at expanding, Twenty acres of land is not going to host the hundred if not thousands of people moving this way. Pull everyone that been helping on building together tomorrow at the Townhall. We need to start focusing on this world as if it is real and not a game. I am electing you as one of the council members we are going to add nine others to help me solve our problem." Seeing her about to argue, "consider the position temporary, have your guild vote someone in your place after the meeting if you want."

Seeing Hans trudging through the rain ahead, "I see you at the meeting have a few things to do." running off to catch up to Hans.

"Hans I need to you and your wife to be at a meeting tomorrow morning to talk about refugee and other problems in the area."

Hans stops and wipes the rain off his face, "I will be there, this blasted rain should stop on the morrow from the impression I got on my morning prayer with Frigga, I swear I'm about ready to head to the Sand of Fire after two weeks of this!" Shaking his head, "Need anything else, Mr. Mayor?" Grinning knowing how much I hate being called Mayor.

Shaking my head, "No, Going to head home to change into drier close and eat."

Hans waves as he turns away.

I nearly crashing into Ann at the Hearthtree when she appears on the road in front of me. Not saying a word, I pulled her into a hug. She shook for a moment as she hugs him back. "Miss you, too," stepping back and holding her hand.

Not sure if tears or rain or both she steps forward and hugs me again, "Miss you too, got mashed. Frost Giants or Jotunn, whatever bigger fuckers. They wipe out over forty of the players the rest scatter six of the Frost Giants appear and started smashing everything and casting spells. Everywhere they touch the area frost over. One of the players ran toward me, and it somehow knew I was nearby because it turns and looks at me after stepping on one guy. I ran leading it toward the mountains hoping to lose it. They are about five days travel from here two was killed before everyone scatters. No clue where the giants are heading wiping her face with her sleeve as he leads her to their hovel.

"Just glad your alright, sorry about your death." pulling the door open and letting her in first.

"Loki had a chat with me while I was waiting to spawn back here. He gave me a message. He will roll back everyone nerf if you draw up a new character and starting area." Looking upset.

Shaking his head no, "Don't trust him and too many citizens and reborns are counting on a place to protect them. If I bow to Loki, then how many more restarts do I have to do if he becomes unhappy. I am not going to back down to a bully. Not today, not tomorrow not ever, I have done it once and lost my family because I felt violence did not solve problems. I'm not going to go out there and stop them from doing bad things, but I will stop them from doing bad things to people I know, This is a Safe Haven to all that need it from those that wish to harm against the innocence and weak. So, dear, I hope next time you see him, and I hope it will be a long time, you tell him to go f..." Banging on the door interrupted him, Pulling the door open, and several women rushed in and started hugging Ann, Kora, and Tarla push Jack out the door as Kari was asking Ann how she was doing. Seeing a lopsided grin on Ann's face as the door was shut and seeing her mouth sorry.

Standing in the rain, trying to figure out what happens, Jack turns and walks away, amused.

A man in the shadows watches him as he walks in the rain, "Message receive Jack. I would have figured you take the easy way out." Shifting into a crow, the bird flew out to sea.
