Henry's menu had popped up again but this time he decided not to close it, reading it carefully.

Henry read through his menu all of it leaving him with more questions then he began with. Henry's thoughts began to run wild with speculation:
Why was he a conqueror
What was this power to claim
Why did the system decide his desire was to conquer
How was still whatever a level one was after such an arduous battle
Amongst a few smaller questions he really wondered what this trait of red demon skin was. He did feel a small itch after killing the demon along with a message saying it assimilated with him. Henry felt around where the itch was and noticed a bump.
Feeling anxious that his body was physically changing, he decided to ignore the new trait, and just attempt to rest with everyone else that had survived the battle.
As he was walking over he realized that he had spent a lot longer than he had realized looking at his menu, so much so that the sun had begun to set in front of him.
When he made it near the roughly made camp he noticed the same man who had helped him during the battle, Tom. Tom was an abnormally tall man with a strong build, his eyes were deep green the same color as the grass under them. These traits along with his mid-length hair combed to one side and short stubble made him seem like a very stoic soldier.
Henry walked up to Tom as he was the only person he had even spoken with during all of this, but when he got near Tom he was astonished by what he saw. Tom had been taking different materials such as rocks, twine and sticks and managed to create weapons and tools out of them. When Henry was about to approach him another well built man had approached Tom.
“Is this enough for you to make uh … sir?” The man hesitantly asked
Tom nodded “This is plenty enough, i'll make sure it suits you well” Tom replied.
As the man walked away, Tom began to work on another weapon, before noticing Henry in front of him.
Before Henry had the chance to speak, Tom took the initiative and stood up, “Hey whats up, I didn't see you come to the camp after the battle”
After Tom said this Henry briefly marveled at the camp around him, surprised 1000 odd people had created a large camp with small shelters and light fortifications in such a short time.

“Yea, I got a bit distracted with the whole menu system after the battle really took me for a bit of a trip” Henry replied timidly noticing the man was getting up. Henry believed he was older than him but his lack of drive and passion in life left him quite timid to new interactions.
When Tom got up he was able to see over Henry's head something that was surprising considering that Henry was by no means short.
“You know you have a red mark on your head with a gross looking bump on it, come to think of it, it's the same color as the demon's skin.”
Henry decided he was going to play it all off as a coincidence and replied, “Haha, yea it's a birthmark and I guess I hit my head during the fight, I’m not exactly suited for all of this, ye know.”
Tom noticed flaws in his whole story starting from not seeing the red mark during the time they fought together, along with remembering Henry's onslaught of slashes cutting deep into the red demon's thick leather skin. After a moment of consideration he decided to brush it off for now thinking there was probably a reason for Henry to say this.
“But you know what, I understand you when you say you could get lost in these things forever. I opened mine and was shocked.”
Tom proceeded to open his menu for Henry to see another feature of the system Henry was unaware of.

Henry was once again lost in reading Tom's menu, surprised by a few things he saw, and without realizing had read it over for a few minutes.
“Haha, sorry I didn't mean to stare for so long.” Henry apologized.“ It's just this is our greatest insight into our new world so I'm quite intrigued by a few things I saw.”
“No worries”
“Can I just ask you a couple questions?” Henry inquired.
“Sure”
“To start off with what is this desire for creation it sounds like that fairies name from earlier.”
“Well i'm not sure what it has to do with her but I'm pretty sure it stems from love to create and learn new ways to make things.”
Henry was still surprised at how light hearted Tom was in contrast to his stoic appearance, it almost made him feel as if the person talking and the person he saw were two different people. With this aside he decided to probe just a bit further to see if he could find out more. Henry was able to decipher what most of the stuff in his menu meant but his biggest concern was Tom's level.
“I guess my next question is how did you get to level two did not killing the same thing?”
“Oh that well I had leveled up while creating things for people so I’m guessing it has to do with our desires.”
“Understandable and the second thing is what were those fireballs you were shooting out of your hand earlier, I don't remember being taught anything like that from her.”
“Oh those, well you see” Tom proceeded to lean down to get close to Henry. “I've created magic.” Tom took a long pause trying to build up suspense waiting to see a surprised look on Henry’s face. All he received was a confused look that left him upset.
With his mood broken Tom continued on, “To start off when we came to this world, it gave me the fantasy world vibes with large forests and huge plains covered in demons. It made me think back to some books I read in the military. So when I learned to open my menu while the fairy girl was talking and saw I had the power to create anything new, I decided to create magic. Or, I guess I ended up learning this world's system for magic.”
With his story done Tom created a small fireball to show Henry.
Henry noticed Tom began to sweat and his breathing became harsher as the fireball was in his hand, and then it clicked for Henry that this world had no mana and he was powering the fireball with his energy.
Tom, noticing Henry’s gaze just gave him a nod and said “Yup it uses your own energy and once you're out it uses your life force instead.”
A short silence washed over the two men as they sat in thought about what to do next.
After a few minutes to break their silence a small light appeared in the distance and quickly approached their camp.
Creation had returned.
“Hello everyone, I've returned to congratulate you all, on being the 3rd fastest group to kill the monster assigned to you. And, as a reward I will be giving you all two quests, of course I'm also giving these to everyone else too.”
“The first quest is to create a permanent residence of 2000 people and the second quest is to become king of two thousand people.”
Quest added: Permanent Home: Create a settlement with over 2000 people
Quest added: Become King: Rule over 2000 people
Creation looked very proud and was visibly quite pleased with her quests but many among the crowd realized the purpose of these quests. First they would create a living area of the required amount, but after when the person to become king had to be decided a lot of blood would be shed to get that title and reward. And, when they died they would need to find more and more people to fulfill the quota. This was a very sinister system Creation and possibly others with her had devised.
