The next day had gone by pretty quickly. Polly sat in the living room as she waited excitedly for Dolly to arrive. She had gotten her to agree to meet Filbert and she couldn't be happier. He was going to see for himself just how great her new friend was. Filbert walked out of the kitchen, having just finished making dinner, and took a seat next to Polly
"Glad to see how excited you are about this," Filbert smiled at his cousin.
"Why wouldn't I be?" Polly giggled. "You're going to meet my new friend."
"Yeah, I'm pretty excited about that too," Filbert grinned. "Can't wait to see that artistic skill you've been telling me about."
"You already have," Polly said, chuckling. "Unless you're talking about the process."
Filbert chuckled as well. "Basically that, yeah."
As she talked with Filbert, the excitement in Polly began to build up even more. She knew that he and Dolly would get along great, and once Dolly was comfortable, she could meet Megan and Henry as well, and the five of them would be able to do all kinds of things together. The thoughts of what they would be made the blonde smile even more.
A knock came at the door.
"I got it," Filbert said, getting up and going to the door to answer it. He gave a welcoming smile. "Hi, you must be Dolly."
Dolly looked around as she was wearing her mask. Coopy is behind her. The artist didn't say anything before she turned to look at Filbert. "Um...hi." She said a bit shyly.
Polly walked up to them and gently grabbed Dolly's hand. "Come on, you don't wanna stand out there all night, do you?"
Dolly let Polly lead her inside. The artist looked around, taking in the view of the apartment. She looked at Filbert again before looking at Polly, who nodded to her, as if to say it was okay. After a few more seconds, Dolly removed her mask, revealing her face to Filbert.
"So you really have a scar like Polly's, huh?" Filbert looked at her before giving a soft smile a few seconds later. He put a comforting hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry, no one's going to judge you here. You look perfectly fine."
Dolly knew that Polly said Filbert was a good guy, but to hear that coming from the mouth of someone with a normal face was a shock to her. For years she had kept herself hidden from everyone because of the harsh treatment she faced in the past. And here this guy was, with a normal face, telling her that she was just fine the way she was.
"And who's this little guy?" Filbert asked, getting down to pet Coopy. "He's so cute."
"Coopy," Dolly said with a smile. She watched as her cat purred at the petting. "I think he's going to like you."
Filbert chuckled. "I think so too." He continued petting the cat. "It's very nice to meet you, Coopy."
Dolly looked around again and spotted a picture of Polly and Filbert together. She walked up to it. "I like this picture of you guys."
Polly looked at the picture as well after coming up next to Dolly. "Thanks, it's one of my favorites."
Dolly then got an idea. "Would you mind if I-"
"Draw it?" Polly giggled. "Go for it."
Dolly grins, taking out her sketchpad. She sat down and looked at the picture a couple of times as she drew.
Filbert held Coopy as she watched. Polly smirked at him.
"Well Filbert, you're seeing the process," Polly said.
Filbert nodded. "Can't wait to see how it turns out."
"Done!" Dolly said. She got up and showed the picture to them. Sure enough, it looked exactly like the one on the wall.
Filbert was in awe as he put Coopy down. "Okay, I don't doubt you because I've seen you're art before, but I can't get over how amazing this is."
"I'm glad you like it," Dolly replied, "How about I draw you solo?"
"Sure, totally!" Filbert said.
Dolly started drawing again on a new page after handing the latest drawing to Polly. Filbert looked at the previous drawing with his cousin. Dolly had gotten everything detailed right. Filbert couldn't wait to see the solo drawing of him. He could show it to everyone at work.
As she drew, Dolly was feeling really good. This first meeting with Filbert was off to a good start. Polly was right about him not being a jerk and he liked Coopy. Her cat was thrilled to meet Filbert too. She finished the drawing of Filbert and showed it to him, a proud smirk on her face. "How's that?"
"Fantastic!" Filbert said, taking the picture after being handed it. "I can have this?"
"Duh!" Polly smiled. "She drew it for you."
"I'm definitely showing this to the guys at work!" Filbert said. He then remembered something. "Oh yeah, speaking of places with food, we should probably eat dinner before it gets cold."
"Oh right!" Polly said.
The three of them go to the kitchen to get their food and sit down to eat. Dolly put some food down from Coopy too. The three ate as they were enjoying their peaceful night.
"It's really nice to meet someone besides Polly who doesn't mind my face," Dolly said.
"Of course, I don't," Filbert replied, taking another bite of his food. "Because that's stupid."
Dolly narrowed her eyes as she stopped eating and just looked down at her food. "You got that right."
"I always tell Polly that I'm sick of people being idiots," Filbert said. "People shouldn't be judged because of how they look."
"And yet people judge us anyway," Dolly said in disgust. "They're the ones who are really horrible."
"See?" Filbert asked. "You're someone who actually makes sense."
Polly watched as the two of them continued to discuss the topic, both of them sharing their displeasure about it with each other. It wasn't something Polly herself wanted to talk about but at least they were bonding more.
Filbert soon looked at Polly and coughed. "But enough about that. What have you guys done together?l
"We've just hung out," Dolly said. "I've shown Polly a lot of the other works at my place."
Polly smiled at the artist. "And I've loved every single piece of art I've seen."
"As always that really means a lot, Polly," Dolly smiled back.
"And it's why I wonder people insist on treating her bad just because of how she looks," Filbert said. He was the one who tried to change the subject bt he couldn't help it.
Dolly nodded in agreement, narrowing her eyes again. "She's the nicest person in the world. She doesn't deserve that. Neither do it."
"Nobody does," Filbert growled in annoyance.
"If it makes you feel any better, you're cooking is really good, Filbert," Dolly said. "Polly was sure right about that."
Filbert's mood changed when he heard that. "Thanks! I'm guessing you told you I work at a restaurant too, right?" Well, I plan on opening my own someday."
"Why wait?" Dolly asked. "I can draw you up a restaurant right now."
"Wait, what?" Filbert asked.
"Oh, I forgot to tell you," Polly giggled. "Well, actually, I wanted to wait until now but Dolly can bring her draws to life when she wants to."
Unauthorized duplication: this tale has been taken without consent. Report sightings.
Filbert raised an eyebrow. "She can bring her drawings to life?" He laughed. "Okay, what's the joke here?"
"No joke," Polly told him. "She really can bring her drawings to life."
"Polly, you can't bring a drawing to life," Filbert replied.
"Oh yeah?" Polly asked. She turned to Dolly. "Would you mind showing him?"
Dolly smirked and took her sketchpad back out. She started to draw something and soon a fly came to life right off the page. It flew around and Filbert's eyes widened in shock, unable to comprehend what he was seeing.
"Y-You just brought a drawing to life!" Filbert said. "How is that possible?!"
Dolly chuckled and let the fly get on her hand as she said, "This is the result of what I would call a happy accident."
"This really weird, but also really cool at the same time!" Filbert said. He still couldn't believe what he was seeing. He had only just met this woman and he was already amazed by her. She was a good friend to Polly and now she was bringing drawings to life.
"Coopy's one of Dolly's drawings," Polly said.
"He is?!" Filbert asked, taking a look at the cat. "But he looks so real!"
"That's what makes it so good," Polly said. "And he is real. He is a living being just like us."
"Well you're certainly not wrong there," Filbert said. "I still can't believe what I'm seeing. Wait until Megan and Henry see this."
"Well, they're gonna have to meet Dolly first and that's if she's comfortable with table them then," Polly replied.
Coopy got into Filbert's lap. He purred again as Filbert once again petted him with a smile.
"I appreciate the offer," Filbert said. "But I'd rather do it on my own."
Dolly smiled at him. "Respectable. Just thought I'd make the offer."
Time had passed and eventually, Dolly was getting ready to go. The fly was on her shoulder as couple was once again next to her. She turned to Polly and Filbert. "I had a really good time tonight. Thank you for this."
"You're welcome," Polly said.
"You're welcome back anytime," Filbert added.
Dolly gave him a look of appreciation before looking at Polly. "If you're not doing anything tomorrow, you wanna hang out again?"
"Of course," Polly smiled. "I would love to. How about the park again?"
"Sounds good to me," Dolly said. "I'll see you tomorrow."
She puts her mask on before leaving, Coopy following along behind her. Polly closed the door and turned back to Filbert.
"I had a good time tonight too," Filbert smiled at his cousin. "I really like Dolly."
Polly hugged him happily. "I'm so glad you do. Thanks for nit freaking out too much with the whole drawings coming to life things. I know how you can be with things like that."
Her eyes went back to the door, the smile on her face bright. "I can tell that she did too. I think she really felt at home here. I think she might be more opening to meeting Henry and Megan now."
Filbert grins after she says that. "Tonight went perfectly then."
"It really did," Polly said. "So you're taking that drawing she did for you to work tomorrow?"
"Are you kidding?" Filbert asked. "How could I not? It's the best drawing I've ever seen, and I'm not just saying that because it has my handsome face on it."

Dolly exited the apartment building as she saw her ride had arrived. That had gone ever better than she had hoped. She opened the back door and let him get inside with the fly. She then got in the passenger seat. Rylan looked at her.
"How did it go, Ms. Dolly?" Rylan asked.
Dolly took off her mask once again so she could look at him with a soft smile. "Perfect. Her cousin was really nice and I drew a couple of things for him."
"That's wonderful news, Ms. Dolly!" Rylan said.
Dolly nodded as she looked around at their surroundings as they drove. She started drawing again, this time it was the view of the beautiful night sky that she was seeing. It made her realize that she couldn't wait to go home and rest with Coopy and her new fly friend whom she had to give a name. She noticed that it was on her shoulder once again. After taking another gaze at the sky, she turned to the fly with a smile.
"How about you like the name Star?" Dolly asked the fly. It buzzed in response and she chuckled lightly.

The next day came and Dolly was sitting on a bench at the park wearing her hood up as Coppy was next to her. She was sketching as she waited for Polly. The sketch is of a rabbit that was in front of her. She finished her drawing and smiled under her mask. She looked up to see the rabbit was gone and her smile faded, not because of the rabbit being gone but because of all the people that she was seeing around the park. All the people that were just going about their lives without a care in the world while she and Polly suffered.
The artist decided to look at her cat to keep the growing anger at bay. But that's when she got another drawing idea. Taking her pencil, she started drawing people that looked like the ones that were walking past her. They weren't the only ones in the picture. There was also a cat. A big one. One that was clawing at them and tearing them apart.
Dolly chuckled to herself as she admired her worked. She looked at her car once again, it's head was tilted. "What? They would have it coming."
"Dolly?" Polly's voice could be heard.
Dolly looked up to see her friend looking back at her. "Yeah, it's me." She quickly went to a blank page in her sketchpad.
Polly sits down next to her. "How was your day so far?"
"Good," Dolly replied. "I decided to just relax and watch TV until it was time to come here to see you."
"Sounds like a pretty good day," Polly chuckles. "I've just been patrolling."
"Patrolling?" Dolly asked. "Oh yeah, you're the hero of this town."
"I wouldn't say that," Polly said, breathing through her mask. "I'm just helping out."
"You really love helping people, don't you Polly?" Dolly didn't even know why she asked that question. Polly had shown her that of course, she loved helping people, even the ones that didn't deserve it. Which, to Dolly, was most people.
"I do," Polly says. "I do everything I can to help make the world a better place and keep people safe. I want them to know that they are safe and one day, I hope I can make them realize they they don't have to be scared of me."
"If only," Dolly said. "You might be giving people too much credit, Polly. They'll never-"
"Change?" Polly asked. "Sorry to interrupt you, but I don't believe that. I believe anybody can change if they really want to. It takes a lot of hard work and effort but I can be done."
Dolly could only wonder why would it be so hard to not be an asshole to people over things they can't control. Polly was truly an amazing person to be so forgiving towards these people. Judging from how Filbert was, they had no doubt given Polly help her whole life just like they did Dolly herself. But she still wanted to help them.
"Made I should draw you saving someone," Dolly joked.
Polly laughed. "I would love that."
"Then that's something I might put on my list of things to draw," Dolly said. Honestly, she would have preferred to draw Polly throwing one of these people passing by into a tank filled with sharks. Dolly guessed she could draw Polly saving Filbert. Yeah, that would make the drain bearable. Or maybe even Polly saving Dolly herself. That thought made Dolly's cheeks turn red a little.
"Dolly?" Polly asked. "Are you okay?"
"Huh?" Dolly shook her head before chuckling. "I was just thinking about something."
"Oh really?" Polly replied. "What was it?"
"Nothing important," Dolly said quickly.
Polly decided to let it go and looked around. "Isn't the view just nice? All these people are enjoying their nice, peaceful days."
Dolly resisted the urge to roll her eyes. She saw that Coopy had gotten on Polly lap and the blonde was now petting him.
"I think I found the next thing to draw," Dolly said, starting to draw on her sketchpad again.
Polly giggled. "Me and Coopy are both honored."
Dolly continued work on her drawing. She was almost finished when she heard a woman yelling.
"Hey! Let go of my purse!" The woman yelled. She was trying to get her purse away from a man who had just grabbed onto it. They both tugged it on but soon the man overpowered her and started running away with the purse. "Get back here! Someone stopped him!"
"Daphne?" Poly recognized the woman and immediately ran after the man.
"Daphne?" Dolly repeated with confusion. It seemed that Polly recognized this woman. She recalled Polly saying the woman friend she had was named Megan. So who was this woman?
She looked in the direction Polly ran to see that the blonde has caught up with the man. The man tried to punch her but Polly ducked and punched him. The man stumbled back before she kicked him.
Polly got on top of him and gave him one more punch that knocked him out. Dolly looked around. People were just staring at Polly and looking at each other. Her eyes went to Daphne, who was just looking at Polly in disbelief. Dolly narrowed her eyes. These people should have been cheering but they were just staring at Polly and that made her upset.
Polly walked up to Daphne and held out the purse to her. "Here's your purse, Daphne.
Daphne glared at Polly and snatched the purse, backing up from her, upsetting Dolly even more. That's when a man came behind Daphne and grabbed her shoulders.
"Are you alright, babe?" He asked.
Daphne looked at him. "No, I'm not alright! I just had my purse snatched and this freak just had her hands on it!"
"Freak?!" Dolly asked, walking up to them angrily. "Instead of calling people names you should be thanking her."
Daphne turned her glare to Dolly. "Who the hell are you?!"
"Someone who's going to make you pay if you insult my friend again!" Dolly said.
"Dolly-"
"No, Polly!" Dolly said. "You just saved this bitch's purse and this is how she treats you in return! I'm sick of it!"
"You're the one who better back off!" The man glared at Dolly.
Daphne pulled his arm. "It's okay, Matteo. Let's just get out of here. The less time we spend next to this freak the better."
Matteo glared at Polly and Dolly before leaving with Daphne. Polly watched them leave and let out a sigh. That definitely could have gone better.
"I can't believe them!" Dolly said. "They have no right to talk like that after what you did for her!" She then noticed the other people around them still looking. "The hell are you all looking at?!"
The people began to leave. Polly put her hands on Dolly's shoulder to calm her down.
"It's okay, Dolly, really," Polly said. "As long as everyone is safe that's all that matters."
"I'm sorry but I can't accept that," Dolly said. "That was awful."
Polly pulled Dolly into a hug. "I know it's not right, but don't let it get to you. I'm fine.
Dolly looked at the ground for a few seconds. After seeing that, she now really couldn't believe Polly would just go out of her way to help these people. She saved Daphne's purse and what did she get in return? Hatred. That was something Dolly knew all too well. Awful, unjustified hatred. Polly was a saint to feel absolutely none of it. At least not from what Dolly has seen of her so far. That's when she looked at Coopy. She thought about the drawing she had done and that's when she got a plan. A plan to make them pay.

Tonight had been a rough day at work for Matteo. After that day, he was happy to have gotten to see Daphne and come back home. He couldn't believe that someone had attempted to rob his girlfriend but he also couldn't believe that freak got involved. What was wrong with her? Why couldn't she just leave people around. Matteo thought about this as he looked in the mirror in the bathroom. He just shook his head in annoyance and took a sip of his water. After he was finished, he went to out the cups in the sink in the kitchen and made his way to his bed.
"Ah, how I'm going to enjoy this sleep," Matteo said. He started doing some stretches. When he was finished, he was just about to get in bed when he heard a loud bang. "Hello?!"
He opened the door and peeked out into the hallway and didn't see anything. Just darkness. He started walking and stopped when he heard something. Something that was coming closer and closer with each second. Soon, Matteo saw a pair of eyes looking back at him.
"What the hell?!"
Matteo's screams would be heard coming from his place seconds later.
