It was a quiet night at the park. No one was in sight. No one but Dolly and the two hooded figures she brought along with her. The artist took in the relaxing, chill breeze for a moment. Polly would be here any minute. Dolly knew her girlfriend had been busy so she called her to meet her at the park. It was the perfect time to put the plan she had come up with into action. She turned to the two figures behind her.
"She's been here any moment," Dolly said. "Make me proud you too."
"Don't worry, Dolly," One of them, a familiar-sounding female, said as she removed her hood. She looked exactly like Daphne. "We won't let you down.”
The figure next to her also removed his hood. He looked exactly like Matteo
Dolly smirked. "I know you won't, Demi. I know that you and Mark will do great."
"We sure will!" Mark said.
Dolly was pleased to see her two newest drawings eager to get on with the plan. They were way better than the real Daphne and Matteo. But that wasn't hard. They were already better by not being the real Daphne and Matteo.
"Dolly?" Polly's voice could be heard. "You here?"
Dolly chuckled and looked at the two drawings again. "Showtime."
Not far from the three, Polly called her girlfriend's name again and looked around. She soon spotted three figures and she could tell one of them was Dolly from the back. "Dolly?"
"We don't need any pity from you, freak!" Mark yelled at Dolly. "Why don't you just get out of here?!"
"Matteo?" Polly made it over to them. "What's going on?"
"Look who decided to show up!" Mark glared at Polly. "It's the other abomination!"
"Hey, leave her alone!" Dolly glared back at Mark. "She's the one that wants to help you, remember?!"
"And I said I don't want any of her help," Mark said. "It's her fault I was attacked in the first place."
Demi wrapped her arms around Mark's arm as she also glared at Polly. "Haven't you done enough damage? Why can't you just see that we nor anybody else wants anything to do with you!"
Polly felt a bit sad and disappointed when she heard Demi say that. She thought that after their last encounter that her view of her changed. "But...I thought we were starting to become friends."
Mark let out the cruelest laugh he could muster "Are you serious?! Her?! My Daphne friends with a freak like you?! You've got to be kidding!"
"You tried to brainwash me into thinking that you weren't bad but my Matteo let me know what was really going on," Demi said. "Just because he was attacked doesn't mean he lost that big brain of his. He knew exactly what was going on once we talked."
"Let me get this straight," Dolly said. "You think Polly sent some monster after you just to get close to your girlfriend?"

"Not just that," Mark said. "She wanted to finally be the hero she thinks she is but never was and never will be. She's not fooling anyone. Why don't you two freaks go away and never come back!"
He slapped Dolly across the face. He then found himself pushed by Polly who quickly checked on Dolly.
"Are you okay?!" Polly asked her girlfriend.
"Y-Yeah, I'm fine," Dolly replied, looking at Polly with tears coming to her eyes.
Polly put a comforting hand on her shoulder, before she turned to Mark and Demi and, in a serious tone, she said, "I think it's time for you two to go."
"Wha do you know? Something we finally agree on," Mark said. He grabbed Demi's hand. "Let's go, Daphne."
The two of them walked off as Polly found her fists balled up. She was angry, but also still felt sadness. She had thought that she had gotten through to Daphne and they could finally be friends. She looked back at Dolly and removed her mask. "Are you sure you're okay?"
"I'm sorry, Polly," Dolly started fake crying. "I shouldn't have egged them on."
"No," Polly said with a frown. "Don't you dare blame yourself. He had no right putting his hands on you."
Dolly wiped the tears. "But what about Daphne? You told me about how you made progress with you." She turned away. "Now I feel like I've ruined it."
"You didn't ruin anything," Polly assured her girlfriend before hugging her. "The only ones at fault here are them."
Dolly hugged Polly back and smirked. It went even better than she hoped it would. "If you don't mind," she released the hug. "I think some ice cream could help with this."
Polly smiled at her. "You got it."
The blonde held her girlfriend's hand as they walked out of the park.

The two were enjoying ice cream at Dolly's place sometime later. Coopy was resting between them. Dolly looked down at her cat after finishing her ice cream and smiled.
"He's so adorable when he sleeps," Dolly said, petting Coopy gently.
Polly smiled as she looked down at the cat. "He sure is." She looked up at Dolly. "Glad to see you're feeling better."
Dolly nodded her head. "A lot better. Thanks to you." She smiled. "So about Matteo being attacked...I guess you're done with that, huh?"
Polly shook her head. "I still have to find whatever attacked him before it attacks someone else."
Dolly nodded. Looks like she still had some work to do to get Polly off this. She'd go along with it for now though. "I know you'll get to the bottom of it. Maybe finding the monster and stopping it will finally get Matteo and Daphne to see you for the person that you really are."
"Let's not talk about them right now," Polly said, still very upset about what happened earlier. She then smiled. "How about a movie for now?"
"A movie spends great," Dolly said. She saw Rylan walking by. "Hey Rylan, what you mind getting us a couple of blankets?"

Henry sipped his coffee as he looked at the picture that was drawn by the sketch artist when Gianna had described the monsters that she saw. Henry could tell that the artist was thinking that the woman was crazy. Henry had a hard time processing this himself. He wasn't going to say the woman was crazy but pumpkin monsters? He sighed as he sent his drink down.
"Ready to give up already?" A voice asked.
Henry sighed for the second time before turning to face Malcolm who, along with leaning against the door and having his arms crossed, was wearing a smug smirk.
Henry frowned at him. "I don't remember saying that."
"You didn't have to," Malcolm said, walking into the room. "I can tell by the look on your face that you know how ridiculous this is."
"A woman's fear and need for help is not ridiculous, Mal," Henry faced the picture once again. "Whether these monsters are real or not-"
"Yeah yeah, I get it," Malcolm said. "You want to help the woman, and you should. The freak's obviously got her under some sort of control."
Henry looked at Malcolm again with a hard glare. "What are you implying?"
"What do you think?" Malcolm glared back at him. "Monsters? Come on Henry, do the math."
"Last time I checked you weren't very good at math," Henry smirked.
"Maybe not, but I am good at smelling bullshit," Malcolm slammed a fist on the table. "And the smell gets worse and worse everytime that freak's near!"
"My friend is not a freak!" Henry snapped at Malcolm. He was sick of this.
"You don't think it's a strange coincidence that the woman, in your words, felt more comfortable talking to her than you, an officer of the law?!" Malcolm shook his head. "Wake up, man! You wanna find these monsters or whatever they are?! Put her in cuffs because she's obviously the one behind this!"
"And where's your proof of this?" Henry set his hands on the desk as he leaned closer to Malcolm with narrowed eyes. "You have none. You're only saying this because you think my friend deserves to be locked up because she's different. Polly may not be a cop, but she sure is a better hero than you could ever hope to be."
Malcom laughed cruelly. "That abomination?! A hero?! You really are a crazy one, aren't you Henry? You're actually believing this pumpkin monster crap that this poor old woman's been brainwashed into giving to you. Your friend's not a hero, Henry. She's a monster. Always had been, always will-"
He was stopped when Henry swung his fist to punch him in the jaw. Malcolm fell down to the floor. Henry growled but facepalmed, disappointed in himself for letting Malcolm get him this worked up.
Malcolm looked up at him as he held his jaw. "Fuck...that's some hook you got there I'll admit. But it doesn't change the truth." He got himself up and made his way out the door. "I'll put an end to this shit and show you once and for all what that freak truly is."
After he left, Henry slammed his fist into the desk, growling once again.
