For a week now Iris has found Hero sprawled out on the floor in different places, snoring up a breeze. She was getting annoyed at the young man's carelessness, "Gosh, why does he sleep everywhere he goes."
"Maybe it's because he doesn't have a room?" Baily suggested, Iris gasped,
"He may be my enemy but he's still a guest where has he been sleeping this whole time." Iris asked,
"In the library." She wondered how in the world he could sleep comfortably in such a place she tried sleeping in the library once and woke up with a cold.
"Let's get to work." Iris announced, pulling out a toolbox from nowhere in particular. "Baily tell me is there any empty bedrooms."
"Yes, it's by your room."
"I see, keep your friends close and your enemies closer." she turned her cat cap backwards and walked to the room.
"Why haven't I noticed this empty room?" she asked, she ignored her own question and carried Hero into her room before starting to renovate his new room. Hero stirred in his sleep as they were working, the loud noise slightly bothering him, but he didn't mind. Contrary to Iris and Bailys belief Hero kept sleeping on the floors because he passed out from mental exhaustion, reading the scrolls he found in a dungeon, he was trying to become stronger mentally, but those scrolls are way too draining for him. "I must prepare." he mumbled in his sleep, trying to wake himself up, but it wasn't working. Instead, he sunk into a deeper sleep.
'Life is so dull.
Living is so dull.
I wish for it to end.
I lay alone in my damp, cold room. Clutching my book closer to my body. My eyes are becoming more and more dull from the lack of food in my system. My room is messy, and my clothes are five days beyond dirty, but I don't want to leave my room to bathe. I have no desires; I have no future. "Grrrr." my stomach was rumbling. I could only chuckle in response, "just wait a bit, I'm going to eat after chapter sixty." I'm on chapter thirty. I wish for it to end; I just want to rest.'

Hero started to shiver while these unwanted memories swirled around in his mind, it was like something was forcing him to remember his life after finding the sword. "Hey Hero!" Iris shouted waking the young man up, he jumped in his bed, "Follow me." She said proud at what she created. "Close your eyes." Iris led him to his new room that's right next to hers, she uncovered his eyes a big grin on her mouth. "So, what do you think."
"I-I love it!" Hero shouted, as he examined the lovely room, on one side of the wall was a big bookshelf with a fur rug on the floor, a couch Infront of it. "I added the bookshelf because you kept sleeping in the library." in the middle was a king's size bed with a canopy, the bed was blue, and on the other wall was a wardrobe and closet. "Glad you like it; er I mean whatever." Iris said, Hero laughed and ruffled her hair, "Thank you." he said planting a little kiss on her forehead. This small action made the two parts of Iris's brain fight against itself. 'Yuck he kissed me can you believe it.'
'Yay he kissed me, and he loved my work, I'm so happy!'
'What you weirdo? He's, our enemy.'
'Yeah, but he's also our boyfriend.'
Iris face was a blushing mess, "Well I'm gone, enjoy the room or whatever." she said again before scrambling out of the room. Hero smiled as he watched her leave but his face became cold, "I know, I know, I can't be too comfortable." he mumbled as he felt the sword shift within his soul, "I just want to experience happiness again for a while, I haven't forgotten about the bigger threat." Hero sighed, his face becoming colder as he felt the energy of the earth stir, and he knows it's not Iris's doing this time. It was something far bigger.
Iris was walking down the hall swinging her arms around happy to have done a good deed, though she hates to admit it. "Irisssssss, weren't you going to finish work on your new weapon?" Baily asked trying to catch up to her as best as his small legs can.
"Shut up Baily, can't you see I'm basking in my victory."
"Don't tell me you set up traps in Hero's new room."
"What, now that you say it out loud that was a perfect opportunity to destroy my enemy."
"Then why are you so happy?"
"Because he like the room, he appreciates the work I did."
Baily was silent for a while before a mischievous look appeared on his face.
"Looks like some ones in love."
"Shut up, can't someone enjoy a compliment."
"Not with that blush and grin." Baily teased some more,
"Why I ought a." Iris said chasing after the now running Baily who continued to tease her.
The two sat on the couch in the library back-to-back to each other.
"Hey, Hero."
"What?"
"What do you like to eat?"
"Meat."
"Any specific type of meat."
"no."
