Divine Eternal Conflict is a one-of-a-kind Neural-VRMMORPG, set in an advanced world of technology and magic where elves can be seen using a biometric-locked assault rifle while casting magic on the other hand. The game uses state-of-the-art Neurvir headgear that directly transmits the virtual world to the brain without causing any harm to the players. Playing the game is like you are being in a lucid dream but with a multiplayer feature that connects your dream to other people.
There are 50 available races in the game with 30 classes to choose from. Hundreds of armors and weapon set with bonus perks and attributes and more than 100 skills as of the latest update of the game. For every build and skill in the game, there is a counter for all of them. Like in any multiplayer game, there will be set items or skills that can be considered as 'cheat' or 'overpowered' and I have collected them all. To stay at the top, I have made every counter build and every 'cheat' build by using all my 100% collected items to dominate the game.
In a dark room with only my PC monitor as a primary light source that shines on my face while I wear my 3rd Gen Custom Neurvir headgear is how I mostly spend my time at home. For 8 to 10 hours, I will play the game non-stop and I have not missed a login streak, except for one time, since the launch of Divine Eternal Conflict. My favorite modes to play in the game are Arena Battleground and Total Chaos modes as I can easily 1vX in the game without dying.
It has been 4 years and the game will have a 5th-anniversary event running this month. The top 1000 players on the ranking board will receive one of a kind gift if they succeed in maintaining their place in the top 1000 worldwide for a whole month. Last year, the top 10 players got 1 million Yen from the 4th-anniversary event and I got 19th place on the leaderboard. So, for this year's event, I will try to get to the top 10.
The event will start tomorrow and as one of the top 100 players in the world, I am not going to miss this event as I must maintain my legendary status as the top player and I need to make videos for my channel. But I also need to attend my final exam for this semester as well so I need to log off earlier than normal because I do not want to feel fatigued and stress my brain for tomorrow's exam.
After finishing my final match of the day, I go back into my mansion to put down the items I just got into my armory. As I finished sorting out the new weapon set that I got, I look at my character's bloody face and body in the mirror on the side of my armory.
"I need to take a shower before logging off, do not want to contract any disease before tomorrow's event."
Blood or dirt that got on your character's body needs to be washed for them to go away, if you do not take care of your character, you will get a debuff from a disease that your character contracted. The debuff will last for days as if you get sick in real life.
I removed my armor one by one and put them into the armor cleaning machine on the outside of my bathroom, I went into my shower first before I dipped myself into my warm and relaxing bathtub. In the shower, I installed three large mirrors on every side of the shower room because I love to watch my character showering. From the reflection of all three mirrors, there is a platinumed white-haired vampire high elf, staring with her glowing red eyes at her own body, that is me.
While showering, I look at my own body as if I am looking at a hot elf woman showering in front of me.
"It's hard to maintain this beautiful body" I talk to myself as I inspect myself in front of the mirror.
"Last time my measurement is 95-50-90, is it still the same?" I open my character stats while the water flows down from my face to my feet.
[Stats]

[Class: Sorceress]

"My tits get bigger huh?" I felt up my own breast to see if it really gets big by 5cm.
"I guess they do but my armors and outfits still fit I think so no need to readjust them just yet."

I finished showering and wanted to dip into the bathtub but looking at the time right now, I will skip it as relaxing in the bathtub only gives a 5% bonus to experience gain. I already maxed leveled so there is no need for that.
"System: Logging out."
I take off my headgear and put it on my desk. I turned off my PC as I prepare to sleep. "So tired. AI-chan, turn on the lights." the AI in my room heard my command and turn on the lights. With the lights on, there I can see my reflection on the black screen.
A 21-year-old male university student with dark bags under his eyes. Messy long black hair that I do not care much about and only wear a long-sleeve t-shirt and baggy pants. "I hate myself," I said to myself while looking at my reflection, chuckling. I get up and go to the kitchen to get some water.
As I walk to the kitchen, I see my mother's figure standing in front of the sink.
I blink and rub my eyes and her figure is gone.
"..."
Without saying anything to myself, I just silently open the fridge and drink some water before I go back to my bed. I lay down silently and my eyes started to tear up as I do not know whether my eyes are tired or my pent-up emotions are acting up again. Even after the accident, I keep seeing my mother around the house as if she is still in this empty house. I fell asleep as the darkness of my room embraced me.
...
The next day, quickly after the exam is finished. I gathered my things to get home as fast as I could. The event has started 15 minutes ago so I better go home as soon as possible as I need 20 minutes to walk home and start the game in total. So, I will be 35 minutes late and that is not included the waiting time for the traffic lights to turn green and I have 3 traffic lights on the way home.
"Yo Shin, come and hang out with us! Let us celebrate!" One of my classmates called me to hang out.
The girl in my group assignment also asks me "Yes Shin-kun, we all just finished our exam so let's hang out and have a drink. We never hang out last semester and this semester so let us do it today! You always about work, work, and work when with me~"
"Yeah dude, you help us get through this semester so let us buy you some drinks".
All three of my classmates that I help, invited me to hang out with them. But I have more important business as I think to myself an excuse but I cannot come up with one.
"Sorry guys, I got to run!" Without talking much, I said my goodbyes to my classmates and run back home. As always, I did not even give an excuse to them. I am sure they will understand. (I think, one of them will...)
"That guy, always goes home as soon as the class ended. Is he still playing that game? What is it called, Divine something something?"
"Divine Eternal Conflict, yes, he still playing that game. I heard that today is the anniversary event held. The whole world is really hyped for this event as last year's top 10 players got like 1 million yen each. So, I think Shin is trying to get into the top 10."
"1 MILLION!? Ganbare Shin! I understand."
"Mou, he keeps evading my advances. Am I not good enough? Did he have a girlfriend already? Is he dense or what?"
"No, he knows that you are flirting with him but he chose to ignore it. He already consults with both of us guys and already told us that he is not interested in you."
"WHY NOT? I am the hottest girl in the class! All the other boys fell head over heels for me. Shin-kun should feel lucky to be in a group with me and-"
Her sentence got interrupted by one of the boys "Well, he knows that you have been in different relationships every month and you stick with him because you want to pass. We all know about that" Two of them laughed at the girl while her face reddened.
...
On my way back home, I walk as fast as I could. I keep thinking about what is missing in my preparation for this event. I have stocked up food in the fridge for a week. Already put out orders for food for a month so I will just need to get them when they arrive at the front door. While I was busy thinking, a familiar figure catches my eyes across the road. As the light turned green, I keep staring as she looks familiar to my mother, with her white dress and sun hat. Similar fashion on the day she died. I cannot see her face as her hat covered most of her face. I ignored what I see as I cross the road but my heart is still unsettled. My head forgets what I was thinking and my heart totally overpowered any logical thinking. I turn back and try to get across to run after her. The light is already red and I go ahead regardless. As I run, her figure is not there anymore and a horn from a truck can be heard on the left side of the road. My head turns and it was already too late. A loud crash and a horn are the only things that I last heard before my sight went blurry as the rain fell on my face while my body lay down on the side of the road.
...
"Ara ara, you come here 5 minutes early? Herm? Hello? Wake up Shin~"
A voice can be heard in front of me. I open my eyes as I heard my name.
"Huh? What? Where am I?" I look around and only saw the hooded woman with two beautiful white wings on her back that called my name. I cannot see her face as if my eyes look at a blurry image as I look directly at it.
The woman in front of me walk up and welcomed me,
"Welcome Shinichi, to the domain of the Angel of Eternity"
