“Mello, come on-meow, there are more mushrooms this way!” the little cat-girl peasant said to her brother, before moving off the dirt path and into the scrub.
Mella pounce over to her.
There was a trotting coming from down the path.
“Quick Amara hide, I think someone is coming…” Mello said, ducking behind a shrub with Amara following suit.
A pearly white pegasus-drawn cart pulled up to a stop on the dirt path, and someone stepped out.
Her beautiful white ornate dress glistened in the sun and the thin sword by her side whacked the carriage steps as she disembarked. She was followed by a young woman with snow white hair, white eclipsed eyes and a most impressive set of angelic wings were tucked behind her back. I’m pretty sure she was a high-ranking angel of Divinity.
“This is where the Beastmen wanted to parley? How strange.” She said with an air of majesty, whilst adjusting one of her shoulder pauldrons.
The two kids watched wide eyed; they had never seen royalty before. The human princess looked around the area and frowned. "What kind of place have you brought us to, Laila?" She asked in a crisp but elegant voice.
"This could be interesting, let’s entertain it for now, human," Laila replied.
“Would you please address me with the correct titles.”
“Hmph, those of a divine nature sit above the seat of you faulty humans, your customs do not apply to us.”

“You are here on Managaea, you are therefore bound to the rules and laws of the la—”
"Oh no, look out Your Highness!" one of the guards bellowed, before six hairy bear-like beasts with huge claws rushed on to the seen.
"It's an ambush Your Highness!" He shouted, stepping in front of her.
The princess looked at him in surprise.
"Are you sure they aren't just bears?" She asked doubtfully.
Herman shook his head.
"No, ma'am. They're not bears…" He muttered, "…they’re Beastmen."
"Okay, stand back Your Highness and let us handle this! We'll be right back!" Herman said, as two ordinary soldiers joined the frontline.
The Princess looked at them carefully and nodded. "Very well."
The world went white for a second and then Herman and the two soldiers lay on the ground defeated.
"I'm sorry Your Highness, they were too strong, run while you can!" Herman yelled. The beast-creatures howled in victory.
Now the princess and Laila were alone on the battlefield, the creatures surrounding them.
“Well, this is different.” Laila exclaimed.
Again, the world went white.
The next thing we saw was the princess in a pool of her own blood, with the creature's claws dripping red.
“Hmph, how unimaginative.” Laila said spreading her wings. A bright light emitted from her hands and a majestic long spear appeared and she gracefully arched it through the air. Wherever the spear cut or pieced Beastmen would explode into blood and specks of light. Each time one exploded she would grimace and roll her eyes.
“Pathetic. Now, will one of you please stay intact.”
There was one left, which futilely attempted to scratch the angel before she wound up her leg and sent him flying with a kick into a nearby tree.
She gingerly strode over to him, gliding across the ground with each step. The creature coughed up blood as she stopped to stand over him.
She then bent down and gingerly tore off his head, to reveal another smaller, much more human face.
“Interesting update,” she said looking up searchingly.
The human looked confused, and maybe he was going to say something, but we’ll never know because with a quick kick, his head exploded, bloodening the trunk of the tree.
Laila returned to Princess Victoriya and knelt down, embracing her in one arm.
Victoriya looked up at her, “please you have to help me, heal me.”
“Why should I do that?” Laila asked nonplussed.
A look of shock and horror drew across Victoriya’s face. “But, I’m conscious? I’m alive! I’m not like the others.” She spluttered, blood dripping down her mouth and from her other wounds.
“And? You’re still a mistake, and the mistakes of God are unworthy.” Laila said sternly and thrust her fingers into Victoriya’s chest.
The poor girl jerked for a second and there was a look of betrayal and fear etched on her before her head fell limply back.
“Begone pest.” Laila slowly stood up, spread her wings and jumped.
A cloud of dust exploded out from the inhuman movement, and then she was gone
Amara and Mello slowly crept out from behind the scrub.
"Princess Victoriya... why did they do this-nya?" Amara questioned.
"Hey, you there!" a Dagon guard shouted at them from down the dirt path, the two kids looked at each other and the scene ended.
