B03C05 I will hate you Lord Savage until I draw my last breath.

{Luhea Deveros}

She sat in her Knight walking into a field near that evil city. It had grown with those horrible beast people. It was like the animals were trying to act like people and build a kingdom. They had built stands, and she would delight in ripping those down as soon as all the Knights protecting them were dealt with. She would have to fight hard to set this world right. It was a fight she couldn’t lose. Not for truth, justice or those twin girls waiting back home. She turned her Knight’s head to the side looking off into the distance to a long-abandoned campsite. That was where these animals had taken the life of her one and only love Alex. It wasn’t right or fair, good had finally triumphed over evil only for them to rip him away from her arms and dismember him before slitting his throat. A tear fell down her cheek as she remembered seeing him lying there cold and long dead. To make matters worse, they had stolen that bat woman and her mother had to pay for a replacement. How low her family had to stoop just to reach the levels of these fiends. It didn’t matter, after today, they would all burn in the fire that cleans all weeds and plagues. It was the only way to save their souls.

“House Deveros challenges House Savage.” A small bunny man said. Wasn’t he the one they had sent to challenge that house? How was he alive and free? It had to be a different bunny. They all looked alike to her, so she dismissed it. It didn’t matter. Then she saw him and had to fight the urge to charge over and stomp him where he stood. Wearing a long cloak, the hood back showing a wolf mask to the world. The dark evil lord Savage stood like a tiny speck in the eye of the world. “House Deveros, is your champion ready?” The bunny asked her. How the hell could he not see that she was ready? She nodded and stepped into the field. They didn’t even have a combat arena. Savage, such a fitting name as they were all savages. “House Savage, is your champion ready?” He asked that speck of an evil lord.

“Woodcutter, if you please.” The evil lord bellowed through a loudspeaker. He had to have one hidden under that cloak. He opened it showing her a sickly thin frame. Clearly this man was an elf pretending to be a human. He barely looked like a man at all, but more like a stick pretending to be a man. She scoffed inside the cockpit of her knight. A strange wolf Knight came out. It barely came up to her middle. It was less a Knight and more of a dog compared to her new Knight Revenge. It had been built to combat the strange wargon Knight that had been shown at Prince Yeven Gen's castle. She would have to target that man’s lands next. It was clear he was building an army to challenge the crown. The dog like Knight sat calmly beside the evil lord savage. He was clearly mocking all that she held dear, all that she had worked so hard for. She would make him pay. She would make them all pay. Pay for her rage, loss and all that they had made wrong in this world. She gritted her teeth and moved into the combat area.

“Savage, your evil stain ends here today. I will take my revenge for Alex.” She roared over the gathered unwashed masses. Rage filled her as some started openly laughing at her pain.

“McDonalds. It had to be you.” Savage said with a disappointed frown. “Let us see then if good or evil shall win this day. My money would be on evil.” He said with a bold laugh. She raised a mace as large as a wagon and readied it to swing down on that abomination of a Knight. How dare he use the pet name that Alex had given her.

“You may start on my mark.” The bunny said, raising his hand. “Three.” The crowd started cheering, adding their voices to the bunny. “Two.” She took a deep breath. “One.” She started moving. “Mark.” Her hammer came down and slammed into the ground making it shake. She could even feel the impact all the way inside of her Knight. She blinked, had she slammed the Knight so hard that it had been flattened by her hammer. Her vision slid forward, and she fell on her face. What had happened? Her feet were firmly on the ground. They must have dug a pitfall hoping to trap her. She rolled over and saw her feet still in place, cut cleanly at the ankles. Something slammed into her side jostling her slightly. She looked over to see her arm missing at the elbow.

Had something gone wrong or had one of his evil minions snuck into their camp last night and sabotaged her Knight? There was another slight impact, and she was falling, landing on her back like a helpless turtle. Her other arm had fallen off. She was helpless and just wiggled there, unable to move. Suddenly a second wolf was standing over her looking into her helm with cold red eyes. “It is clear that the Deveros champion is unable to fight. The winner is House Savage.” How could he say that? They had cheated. She looked over at her hammer to see it had fallen over. Only a clear divot remained in the ground. She turned back to the wolf. It had to be the same one, but how had it moved like that? Must have been some trick.

“Well, it looks like evil has won the day.” Savage said smiling. It was all so wrong. She had failed again. NO! She wouldn’t fail her, she wouldn’t fail his children, she wouldn’t fail HIM. She unstrapped from the seat and climbed out of her Knight roaring with outrage.

“SAVAGE!” she screamed as she turned to him. He smiled in a way that made her heart skip a beat. Something was familiar about it. She shook her head and looked down at her hands. She could do this. “I demand you and I settle this now.” He nodded slowly.

“What will be the terms of this match? Shall you barter another lord's lands again?” Laughter roared around the crowd. They were all making a mockery of her.

“I demand satisfaction. You killed my love.” He openly laughed at her. It was cold, evil and somehow familiar. It tickled at the back of her mind, but she couldn't remember where it was from.

“I have a feeling you have not been satisfied in a long time.” He said laughing at her. The animals joined him, filling her with rage. She let a fireball build up in her hand. “How about this, we fight, if I win you and your family stay away from my lands and my people forever.”

“If I win, I get your head. Your evil empire ends here today.” He nodded at the bunny.

“House Deveros challenges House Savage again. Go on my mark. Three.” The crowd fell quiet as Savage made his way to her. “Two.” He stood there barely thirty feet away. “One.” He took a deep breath and lifted his head smiling at her. This all felt so wrong. “Mark.” He just stood there waiting for her to make a move. She ran forward tossing the fireball at him and he raised his hand slowly, something lashed out, and splitting her fireball it fizzling it out.

“McDonalds you are an idiot.” He said coldly.

“How dare you use the pet name my beloved gave me.” she cried. “I will hate you and fight you until I draw my last breath.”

“It wasn’t a pet name, it was an insult, you idiot.” She stopped and saw him raise his hand. She could dodge anything that flew at her, but then his hand moved in a way she had never expected. A long chain shot out hitting her in the stomach. She fell to the ground struggling to breathe. She coughed and spat out a mouthful of blood. Her eyes went up to him in confusion. He had moved exactly like Alex. He put up his hood and walked slowly to her, kneeling down to look into her eyes and pulled off his mask. Her heart stopped as she looked into the eyes of her one true love. How was he here? How was he alive? She tried to tell him how she felt, but nothing came out and she coughed up more blood. Her lungs weren’t working. “I shredded them.” She wept as she looked up at him. “Your lungs. You did say you’d fight until your last breath, so I took that.” He said coldly, smiling down at her.

“I don’t and could never love you. If only you could have seen that, you may have found someone who could have loved you.” She gasped and cried. She knew that now. He never loved her, and she had been such a fool. She looked up, her eyes filling with a pleading need. She grabbed at a healing potion, but he reached out, plucking it from her hand. “None of that.” He said tossing it aside. She needed to tell him about his daughters. They needed his love even if she could never have it. He needed to know. She was now crying wildly, blocking her view of him. The man she had always loved. Her heart slowed and her arms became heavy. He stood and walked away refusing to even look at her as she died. “Goodbye McDonalds. I pray you find someone who can love you in your next life.” She struggled to tell him about Alexia and Amanda, they needed him. She no longer cared about herself, but those symbols of the love she held for him needed their father. He stopped and she closed her eyes. The bat could tell him. Where was the bat? She would never know that Batsy was across town holding a bat boy hybrid with her husband Meathead. Luhea felt so cold when a slight giggle came to her. Her eyes focused on a strange young human woman walking past Alex who was standing still.

“Hello there.” she said sweetly. She wore a short bright pink dress that billowed out around her. Long dark hair flowed in the sun like she was moving under water. “Thanks, I like this dress too and I’m glad you like my hair.” Could this woman read her mind? “Not really your mind, but I can hear you.” This was great, she could tell Alex about the twins before it was too late. “No, I am afraid it is already too late for you.” What was she talking about? Alex was right there. It would be so easy for her to tell him. “I can’t do that.” The strange woman said sadly. “I am the Goddess of Love, and it is time for you to go. As I made a mistake and pushed you into this, I’m going to fix it.” The strange woman reached out and plucked something from Luhea's back. It felt weird as her vision pulled from her own back and into the Goddess’s hand. She was tiny now and felt nothing, not the sun or world around them. “You have to have a body to feel those things, but that is why I’m here.” The Goddess turned and walked to the town talking all the time. This goddess liked to talk a lot, but Luhea didn’t mind. It was nice having someone to talk to and help her after her life had ended. It was almost like all the things that used to matter had stopped mattering. “Silly, that is just what happens after you die. Now back to what I was saying. I had this plan for you and Alex to fall in love and I may have pushed you a bit too hard.” She said with a wince. “My bad. I forget that mortals can’t handle things the same as others. No, I can't send you back or let you keep your memories, but I can let you have another chance with someone who can show you a better path. Would you like that?” The soul ball that had once been Luhea bobbed in the goddess’s hand. “Good.”

The goddess just walked through the door of a strange house and slowly made her way upstairs to a bed. On the bed was a strange bunny with long floppy ears. Dispute how thin her arms and legs were, her belly was huge. “This is Yeamds, she is about to give birth to a child of pure love. I know Knowledge has the elves and Justice has humans, but most people don’t know, but the Beasts belong to me. They are the children of love, and this lovely child will be extra special. Would you like to know why?” The soul bobbed forgetting who she was. Was she even a she? The soul looked down or tried to. “Don’t worry about it. Souls get cleaned before we reuse them. As far as this child goes. She will be loved by a lot of people for doing great things. Would you like to help me with that?” The soul bobbed and the strange woman lowered the soul into the belly of the bunny woman who looked to be in pain. The soul hoped she would be okay. Everything went dark until she saw a light.

{Hocodoy De Tovoear}

She knelt between her sister/lover's legs and looked up at the wonderful man who helped them. Healer as he liked to be called was pouring healing magic into Yeamds as the two helped her breathe and push. The child was coming today. She had not planned to fall in love or do any of this, but something about this town and these people drew her in and made her feel safe and at home. Then she found these two and fell in love with both of them as they fought over how to make the potion that would bring wonders into this world. She saw a head poke out and helped support its tiny spine. Small thin, floppy ears poked out to the side. It was just so amazing. She wept watching the shoulders pull free and she helped hold the little being of wonder with a towel as she cut the umbilical cord and tied it off before cleaning the baby. A sound rang out through the small room, and she looked over at Healer who was openly crying. His hands were still healing his lover and the mother of their child. Even now he was helping her when it was clear that he wished to hold his child. Hocodoy moved carefully to hand the bundle to Yeamds who was crying and holding her arms out. She took the baby wiping its face with her long ears. “It’s a girl.” Hocodoy said holding Yeamds as they into the face of the child as it started to feed. She had her mother’s long ears, but below them were human ears like her father. Healer slumped and held both women tightly as he looked at his daughter.

“What shall we name her?” He said kissing both women. All three adults were crying and smiling as they looked at the miracle that Yeamds held.

“How about Glendica. It means healer in old elvish.” Hocodoy offered.

“Glendica Healer.” Healer said, kissing the top of his daughter’s head.

“I like it. She will do amazing things.” Yeamds added.

“She already has.” Healer said. The baby sniffled and sneezed, opening bright green eyes melting all three hearts as she looked into each face. Glendica smiled, making all three laugh and tear up.

{Pretty Batsy}

She lay in the large bed remaking the picture that Lily had sent her when they had found the potion. Her Meathead was laying on the bed wrapped around her as she held their child. He was just so big and cuddly, and his mind was so open and pure. She loved him with all of her heart as she knew he loved her with all of his. Gaven sighed in his sleep, making Batsy smile. Her beautiful baby boy had just been born and she wouldn’t let him out of her sight. He had two sets of arms. One set was like hers and she hoped he could fly when he got older. The other set were like his dad's normal human looking arms. He had her ears, and his nose was slightly squashed like hers. She brushed his soft short brown hair and lifted her large eyes up to her lover in the dark room. He was so nice. She knew he couldn’t see but felt her look up at him. “You made me so happy. I love you too. Yes, we can have others.” He laughed knowing she could read his mind. Drake was playing outside. The boy was a ball of energy, and her Meathead was training him to be a strong warrior. The boy loved to help and ate like a dragon. Last year she had been a slave dreaming of a cup of tea and torturing low lives for a mob boss. Now she was free, had a family and a man she loved. “I love you, my Meathead.” She said lifting her head slightly to kiss him softly. She felt his large hands squeeze her gently. He was always so gentle with her. It made her laugh and a tear slipped out.
