I woke in the normal way whenever I slept with Lily. Uta joined in and my morning was very relaxing. Uta was more than willing to take control of my money and house. She said she would look at them later once she could move and was able to focus that is. My mind wasn’t able to focus properly, and I had to send Parnel out to fetch Midna. I would need to ask him why he hung around me as much as he did as it was a bit strange. About an hour after he left, she popped out of the shadow under my desk. Safe to say, it was a pleasant surprise. I had hoped she would go down on me, but she just climbed up me to sit on my desk, those long tasty legs crossed.
“I was told you wanted to see me?” She said, a playful smile on her face.
“As much as I’d love for this to be a pleasurable visit, I have something for you to look into. A little over a year ago, Fat Man sold a bunny who was missing all her limbs, one ear and one eye. She had white hair and a red eye.” Her face fell as I spoke, and a bit of darkness crept into her eyes. “She may be Lily’s sister.”
“You want me to hunt the man that has her down and kill him?”
“I want to know how she is. If she is okay and happy, leave her be.”
“That seems fair. How long do I have?” She asked, her face settling.
“How long do you think you need?”
“A month, maybe less.”
“Let’s say two months. If you get it done, great, if not,” I left a pause.
“Don’t return,” she said with a slight smile.
“No, return. I want to know what you learn. If you don’t come back, how can I know what happened?” She looked at me shocked before quickly recovering.
“What will I get as a reward?”
“What would you like?” I said with a coy smile.
“One night with Lily.”
“Only if she is willing. I will not promise anything that I don’t have the right to offer.” I was fairly sure Lily would be happy to have a night with Midna, but wanted to make sure I would not force any of my women to do anything they were unwilling to do.
“That seems fair.”

I waited a while to make sure and got back to work. Boss sent me over the extra metal, and I was able to work on the head. Midway through the frame, Uta stormed in and started yelling up at me.
“Get your ass down here now, we have to have a talk.” What the hell did I do wrong now? I made my way down the skull, and she pulled me into my office. Slamming a stack of papers on my desk she growled at me.
“Care to explain what the fuck is going on here?” I looked down and could only make out that some of the pages were about numbers. I really needed to get back on track learning this world writing system.
“Not sure what you mean? I can’t read that.” She blinked and looked between me and that paperwork.
“What the fuck? Darlin, you still can’t read?”
“I can’t read that.”
“Oh, crap, I forgot you are a wanderer.” What the hell did Lily tell her? She saw the outrage on my face and smiled. “Don’t give me that it is really obvious.”
“That is what Lily said.” She smiled and pointed at the first page.
“You paid off all three houses? You don’t owe anyone anything, and even have every tab paid without any outstanding debt. With all that you still have seventeen small mithril, fifty- four gold and so on.”
“Nice I have a little nest egg built up.” She just blinked at me, turning red.
“That isn’t a FUCKING NEST EGG!” She yelled. This was my office; I should be the only one yelling here. Somehow, I knew that line wouldn’t work on her.
“Should I have more?” I asked blankly. Her jaw dropped and she started blushing looking at the door.
“Most lords don’t have that much saved up. They are in debt up to their eyeballs. How did you get so much?”
“I worked. I turned every attack into coins, every scrap of metal into a Knight, doll, table and more. I made weapons for Meathead, Woodcutter and the new pilots, weapons for this city and far more. I have worked my ass off every day to make sure I never needed anyone to keep going.” She just stood there blinking and breathing hard. “That and I am working on a project that will earn us two-point five large mithril.” Her eyes went wide and started to roll back. I grabbed her shoulders and helped her to my chair. She put her head between her legs and started breathing heavy. Did I do something wrong? I thought I was doing great. Maybe I needed to work harder.
“I know I should work harder to make sure we never have to worry.” Her eyes went wide as she looked up at me.
“Fucking hell, Alex. You should be slowing down.”
“Why the hell would I ever slow down?” I had no clue why she was asking me that. We needed that large mithril.
“Alex, you are easily on the standard of most lords and more than likely on the low end of a high lord. You may even be able to buy your way into becoming a prince.”
“Fuck that. I just want to build more Knights.”
“Alex, Darlin, slow down. We have time, we have money, we are more than okay. If you kill yourself, we won’t have you, just your coin.” Why was she using logic? I didn’t like this. It was much easier when I was alone and had to fend for myself. “Alex.” she warned.
“Alright, I will slow down if I can.”
“Do I have to blow you here and now, so you promise to slow down?” That would more than likely work on me, but I wasn’t about to say it aloud.
“I will try.” She gave me a coy smile and stood pushing me against the desk and kissed my neck. With a shudder I made sure my door was closed and no one would see us. She reached in and pulled me out pulling on it slowly as she looked up into my eye dipping down to kneel before me.

“A few months before Gen was tricked, our parents owned their own general store. It was one of my jobs to make sure the books were up to date. That gained me the skill. They were taken away on a false charge of failure to pay taxes. Gen and I were kicked out onto the street. You know the rest.”
“Where were they sent?”
“To the army. Where all non-nobles go. I doubt they are still alive, but I can dream. I think mom would have liked you.”
“I think I would have liked both of them. They made two amazing kids and I love them both.” she giggled and kissed my cheek.

“How is she?” I asked. He smiled and puffed up.
“She is very happy. One of your women asked her to work at your house and you should have heard the sounds she made. Not sure you could have though as only the wolves could hear something that high pitch” That seemed okay. “I am grateful every day that you took us in.” He had a since of humor. I liked him.
“You do know I’m not your master, right?” I asked.
“I know, but even though you get angry, you seem happy about it.” He laughed and it made me smile slightly. He was right, fucking hell. What is wrong with everyone? I am no hero; no master and I plan to keep it that way. "I just hope she does well.”
“She will do amazing. If not, I am sure you will do your best to lift her spirits and make her feel wanted and loved.” He laughed hard at me and started snorting.
“You know I will. I love that woman. Just wish I could give her piglets.”
“Maybe one day. I hope I could give my women kids too.” Would they even want them though? I hoped so but had doubts. “I know Battery is dating a boar woman, he says he loves her.”

Wait, this world has magic healers. Can they rebuild limbs? My mind went back to what I hoped was not Lily’s sister. Could she go back to a normal life? I ran back into town and realized I had no clue where the healers were. Woodcutter came up to me smiling.
“Alex, how goes it?” He said with a wave.
“Woodcutter, good I have questions for you. Can a healer regrow limbs.”
“Yeah, but it does cost a bit, and it hurts a lot. My brother once cut off his hand when his ax missed. He said it hurt like a bitch and cost him a silver.” He shook at the idea of things costing that much. A silver was a lot of money to him? I wonder how Boss was paying him. I was, to my knowledge still getting three silver a month from him.
“Where is Healer?”
“Oh, they are in the building right behind you. How do you not know this?”
“The one time I needed a healer, Gorloth brought him.” I said turning around to see a sign with a bandage on in. I had thought that was the scroll shop and never needed to go in. I really needed to have Lily show me every shop in town. I bet she knew them all. I opened the door to a delightful mint smell and a brightly lit room. An older woman turned in a light blue robe turned to me. Long ears hung down framing her face. It was Yeamds, I had forgotten that we got her in a deal from Fat Man. “Hello, can you regrow limbs?” She looked me over and smiled.
“Are you planning on losing one?” She asked, giving me a coy smile.
“No, Yen is missing an arm, and I would like to see if you could help her.” She frowned and looked pale.
“That is going to be a hard one. I would need the help of Healer and maybe your mana too. I hear you have a fair bit now. Can I see your core?” I altered the bracelet letting it slide off showing the glowing metal orb in my arm. She took it and looked at it closely. “Nice, I have never seen one. Humans can have cores too?”
“This is an altered goblin core. I do have a human core if you want to look at it.” Her eyes went wide, and she took a step back. “Don’t give me that, he tried to enslave me. Taking his core was the least I could do.” She just nodded at me looking worried. “When can we help Yen?” She shook her head and got back on track.
“We can do it whenever you like. It will cost a lot though. For a full arm, it should cost you sixty silver.”
“How about a gold and tonight?” She blinked and nodded.
“Healer, Alex has work for us.” she shouted. He came down in a hurry looking me over. “No, he wants us to heal that tiger woman. The one with one arm.”
“Does he know how much that will cost?” He asked, looking between us.
“Yes, you fool, and he is offering a gold to get it done now.” He ran to get a bag and returned quickly. They both followed me to the house. Much to my surprise the place had a few more women running around it. I saw Pirnel’s sister happily working on the garden. She looked in better health then the last time I had seen her. We walked in to, and Lily bounced up to me beaming.
“Welcome home Master,” she said with a slight blush. I noticed that she was in her maid outfit. God that made her look so sexy.
“Thank you, Lily. Where is Yen?”
“She is working in your office.” She looked around me at the healers. “What is going on?”
“I just found out they can regrow her arm.” At my words, she got very pale and shuddered. Was she thinking about the limbless bunny?
“I will fetch Uta. Yen will need us. Maybe Mai could look after Gen.” I was missing something. Suddenly this didn’t sound like a good idea. She ran off and I turned to the healers.
“What am I missing?” I asked the two.
“As the limb has healed, we have to cut it back open and then it will hurt a lot. Regrowing nerves is very painful,” Healer said, looking at the ground. This was not going to be fun, but she needed that arm. She should be whole again. “You may want to do this some place where the blood will not stain things.” Good point.
“The bathroom should be ideal. The tub should be drained at this time of day.” I led them through the house, and both were stunned as they looked at the large metal tub.
“This looks like the new ones that heat the water.” Healer said. I just nodded. “Can we use it after?” He asked, Yeamds slapped his side and blushed.
“I don’t see an issue with that. Once Yen is healed, stay as long as you like.” Was there something between them? Not my place to question things.
“We will need a table where she can lie down.” Yeamds said. I pulled the metal up to make a table and changed it as they asked. When it was done, I had something that looked like a massage table. Lily came in with Yen and Uta. Yen looked worried. “Lily can you please get us some blankets or towels. She may also want a biting stick.” Yen took a deep breath and walked up to me.
“Alex, Lily said you want to fix my arm? You don’t have to.” She touched the stump and looked at the ground. “I am okay like this. You don’t have to waste money on me.”
“You should be whole. You are worth this and far more.” At my words she looked up at me and blushed. “I just feel bad that this is going to hurt.” She took a breath and pulled me into a hug. I wrapped my arms around her middle. This did press my face into her still growing bust, but I wasn’t about to complain about that. Lily returned with a stack of towels and started laying some of them down on the table. Yen broke away and gave Lily and Uta a hug before laying down. Uta handed her a handle of a rolling pin she had taken from the kitchen. The two healers gathered around.
“Healer try to make it quick. I will work on numbing and blood loss. Once the area is open, we can focus on regrowing. Sadly, my dear, you cannot be numbed for this as the nerves need to connect,” Yeamds said with a sad smile. “Once we start healing, Alex please put your hands on our shoulders. We will have to use you as a battery.” she said that part with a sly smile. I turned away as Healer brought out a saw. Yen looked away, Uta and Lily hugged the woman, Lily holding Yen’s hand. The sound of someone getting their stump of an arm sawed off was fairly unnerving but passed quickly. Both healers stood and I turned placing a hand on each one’s shoulders trying not to look at Yen. I failed and it hurt my soul to see her bleeding stump. Then my eyes went wide as I saw a bone grow from the stump like a strange white tree. The pull on my mana started and I had to focus on pulling from my core. The last thing I needed was to pass out when she needed me the most. Soon the tree grew into the skeleton of an arm reaching all the way down to the finger bones. Yen to her credit just lay there breathing hard, but not moving. Yeamds took a deep breath and looked back at me. “This is where it will hurt. Please try to bear with us. If you pass out, that is okay. Sorry my dear.” A strong green glow started around their hands as sweat poured from their heads. I felt the pull on my mana kick up again and I pulled everything from my core. Strange yellow roots quickly grew followed by blue and red ones snaking from her stump down her arm. Yen screamed around the wood in her mouth. The wood had clear teeth marks as she bit down. Red muscles flowed down the stump to the fingers. It was happening so fast like a time lapse video of a plant growing. “Final push.” Yeamds called out. Flesh spread from the stump over the muscle and bone. It looked slightly pale, but much to my delight the stripes were there. It moved slowly down to her fingertips that had turned into black claws. Both healers pulled back sitting on the edge of the tub. All of us slumped breathing hard. Yen spat out the splinters and took a deep breath. Lily wiped Yen’s brow and refused to let go of her left hand. Both women helped her up and she just sat there slightly woozy after the surgery. It had taken us nearly an hour and I was almost tapped out. Both healers were sitting there looking just as drained and clothes soaking with sweat.
“Uta, can you fill and drain the tub until the blood is gone.” I reached into my pocket and pulled on a spare goblin core I kept around. I couldn’t use other cores on my bracelet as they liked to fight with my own core. It was having the extra in my pocket as a quick charge for small jobs or if I just wanted to hide from Lily how drained I was. Once I felt better, I went to Yen and helped clean her now whole shoulder. I helped her up and the three of us helped her to a bed to rest. I went back to see the healers soaking their feet in the now clean water. “Give me a little to fix the tub and then you can rest.” I pulled two gold out and handed one to each before going to move return the tub to its normal state. They just sat there looking at the gold.
“It was one gold. Yeamds said,
“Yeah, there are two of you so two gold.” Healer just shrugged and put it in his pocket. “I may lean on you if the other slaves need to be healed.” Both just nodded to me and smiled.
“You can count on us.”
“Are you two going to share the bath or should I ummm.” Yeamds blushed and smiled looking over at Healer.
“We can share,” she said, looking at the ground.
“Okay then.” I turned and left quickly. Don’t want to think about what was going to happen. Yen was sleeping and it filled my heart to see that new pale arm. Lily hugged me crying. Did I do something wrong again? Was I being selfish?
