Chapter 6 - Framed

Chapter 6 - Framed

For intelligent creatures, watching their own kind being eaten is an extremely cruel thing. The intense disgust almost made Ronald vomit on the spot.

Raising his hand to lightly tap his forehead, Ronald cast "Clarity" on himself, the cool sensation sweeping over his mindsea, quickly calming himself down.

Looking down at the snarling and shrieking little vampire, ice-cold killing intent condensed in Ronald's eyes.

With a point of his finger, the little vampire spontaneously combusted.

Second rank apprentice spell - Ignite, a very cruel composite spell, usually used by mages to torture enemies to death. Before burning, it will pull fat from unknown planes of existence to coat the prey, this kind of oil is extremely flammable, basically the prey will burn to ashes before it extinguishes.

The little vampire let out a shrill wail of anguish, writhing in pain among the pile of bones, some even trying to jump into the sewage pool to extinguish the fire, but were kicked back by Ronald.

The sharp shrieks lasted for two minutes before fading away, and when the little vampires turned into unmoving charcoal, Ronald began searching the cave.

Luckily, Ronald found two Blood Orchids in the dining room (pile of corpses), the main material for making spirit potions.

It was quite funny that the main material for a spirit potion worth a hundred gold that could enhance an apprentice's spirit, would grow in such a bloody place. This made Ronald unable to help but marvel at the wonders of nature.

Other than the Blood Orchids, Ronald also found some coins and standard-issue weapons, probably belonging to a rookie adventure team. But it seems they weren't very lucky and all perished here after failing to subdue the vampires.

After gathering the spoils of war, Ronald directly blasted the cave entrance with a modified fireball spell, then first returned to town to sell the standard-issue weapons to the mayor at a discounted price. Ronald then set off on his return journey.

On the way, Ronald deliberately took a detour to Harrstadt Town.

When he arrived at the inn, the landlady wasn't there. Ronald left six silver coins and a note before leaving.

Although a simple adventure survival package wasn't worth much money, the human sentiment was heavy. Ronald couldn't repay the favor, so he could only use money to pay it back.

He returned to the academy two days later.

To enter the academy, one had to go through a building.

If you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.

This building looked exactly like a castle tower from his past life, with scars from knives and axes carved into it, recording the traces of time.

The Swill Grand Mage Tower.

Built during the First Middle World War, it had been standing for 762 years until now.

Apart from being used to defend against foreign invasions, it also served to guard the town.

One of the main reasons Snowdrift City was so famous across nations was because of this "Swill Grand Mage Tower".

The Magic Academy was established near the Magic Tower, and the current Tower Master was the Dean of Security at the academy.

Due to the special nature of mages, security at the Magic Academy was extremely strict. The Magic Tower monitored all personnel entering and exiting. If it detected any ulterior motives or hostility, you would immediately be arrested by the city guards. Then if you couldn't prove your identity, what awaited you would be a lifetime of unseen days in the mines.

The apprentice mentors were all used to the existence of the Magic Tower. They felt no discomfort under the scanning of the arcane Occulus at the top. As usual, Ronald stood still in the detection area and waited for the blue light to turn on.

There were also several apprentices who had just returned beside him. Although covered in dust, they were in high spirits, chatting loudly with each other. It seems their trials went smoothly.

The blue light didn't turn on for a long time. Just as Ronald was wondering why the inspection was taking so long, the sweeping blue light suddenly turned red.

At the same time, a roar rang out from above.

"Ronald Lannister, you despicable bastard, you have committed such a huge mistake yet you still dare to return!!!"

The red light from the Occulus focused on Ronald. The people around him immediately retreated far away, in the blink of an eye, Ronald was completely isolated.

Resist?

He didn't even dare let this thought arise.

Even if he was promoted to a formal mage now, he wouldn't dare make trouble within attack range of the Magic Tower. His original memories contained scenes of formal professionals being blasted into scraps. So Ronald obediently raised both hands.

After Ronald indicated he would not resist, a squad of fully armed noble private soldiers emerged from behind the low walls. They tied up Ronald and roughly suppressed him as they entered the academy.

Ronald's prisoner-like appearance drew a lot of pointing and discussion from the apprentices.

"So this is the despicable villain who molested his teammate during the trial? He really looks sinister, that head of black hair is simply the incarnation of a devil."

"I heard he's from the Lannister family too, he's simply shaming his family."

"How can someone like him be nobility?"

"Ashamed to be associated with him!"

Accompanied by comments all the way, Ronald was taken to the Law Enforcement Hall of the academy.

"Report, prisoner Ronald Lannister has been brought."

Following the soldier's report, Ronald only felt his shoulder being viciously shoved, and then he fell to the floor.

The magical lights turned on and Ronald saw the faces of those around him.

The academy leadership had all arrived, in addition there were also the student council management and more. Ronald also saw among them the Anna he hated, currently cowering like a bird in the embrace of a certain blond playboy.

That bitch!!!

"Ronald Lannister, you know your crimes."

The voice of justice came from above his head. Ronald tried to stand up, but the noble private soldiers on both sides kicked his knees, and Ronald fell to the ground again.

The sorry sight drew low laughter from the crowd. Ronald gritted his teeth to control his emotions - losing control would only make these people ridicule him more. He must not follow the script they wanted.

Since they wouldn't let him stand to speak, Ronald simply sat cross-legged on the ground.

The silent protest made some people frown heavily. Seeing their masters unhappy, the lackeys raised their long spears, preparing to give Ronald a beating, but they were stopped by the noble Dean.

The noble Dean looked appraisingly at Ronald, then let out a contemptuous sneer.

"Ronald Lannister, I've seen many juniors like you who have done wrong. After committing mistakes, most of you think that as long as you deny it to the death, then no one can judge you..."

The noble Dean looked down condescendingly at Ronald. Normally the accused wouldn't dare meet his gaze, but Ronald still looked straight at him, not retreating one bit. This made the noble Dean very uncomfortable.

He hated this kind of "unyielding" gaze.

It reminded him of the Marquis father-in-law he had executed, who also looked at him with this kind of gaze, as if watching a clown, before the execution.

"From your look, seems you're not planning to admit it. Anna, come and retell Ronald's atrocities against you."

The slut cowering in the playboy's arms, moved her hand covering her cheek, and quickly made a face at Ronald, before resuming her pitiful look and started accusing Ronald of his atrocities.

"Lord Ronald forced me to drink alcohol under the pretext of fostering tacit understanding. Then when I was drunk, he suddenly burst into the room and pushed me down..."

"He said he would give me an unforgettable night tonight, then forcibly ripped open my clothes..."

When she said this, Anna shook her shoulders and let out pitiful, delicate sobs.

Seeing the beauty cry in distress, the people around criticized the villain Ronald.

"He has completely disgraced the nobility!"

"The Lannister family should execute him!"

"Execute him!!!"
