Hello everyone. I have a few things to announce.
First of all, I got back from my camp. It was incredibly painful... Anyways, I'm back, and boy are things about to change.
You may have noticed the 'important announcement' title of this chapter. You may have also noticed that all of season 2's chapters have been deleted. Yeah, that's intentional. That's also 40k words down the drain... haha.
I don't know if you want me to go onto a massive tangent saying how I lost motivation to write and got into anime and am actually trying to do well in school for once, so I'll keep this short.
Season two was originally planned out with a plot that allowed June to grow stronger before his showdown with the baron and confront his life. However, after pressure from some of my readers (not you guys, my friends) I realised that the first book only had a subtle hint of any plot. Also, I noticed some of you disliked season 2 and dropped this because of that. Those of which are most likely not here reading this anymore... but back to the main point.
I'm sure you'll all agree that season 1 ended a bit abruptly and strangely. Season 2 started off on an even weirder place and essentially destroyed everything season 1 built up. And some people didn't like that. Hell, I didn't like that.
So, I thought long and hard about just how to fix this mess that I'd created and came up with... scrapping it. When I reflected on my story line, it suddenly hit me. Why do I need this arc? Even though it's 'training', can't he just train as he progresses throughout the story? Besides, I think everyone's itching for the real plot/action to start!
So yeah, that explains why all of season 2 is now gone. I'm gonna rewrite it.

Now here comes the problem(s). Like I said. Ever since I started this year, things have gotten a hell of a lot more busy. It's important for me to do well in school now, which leaves little time to actually write along with a part time job I just started recently.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I hate to say something and disappoint you guys even more. I know that I've been saying that I'll get back into it. I know that I've been saying I'll try to release chapters and even open a patreon. But yeah. Let's face it. Not gonna happen any time soon.
I'm going to do something I should've done a month ago. Put this story on hiatus- for you all, at least. I won't be uploading any new chapters until I've completely finished and happy with season 2. Now that may be a month, half a year, or even a year. I don't know. But I really hate to lie that I'll be able to write up chapters every week when I'm clearly not. So I formally apologise for saying those things and not keeping to my word.
And with that, I think I'm about done with my announcement.
To sum up, if you don't want to read the whole thing;
- Season 2 is scrapped and I'm starting it again
- No more chapters until I finish season 2

Before I go, I just want to say, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for sticking with me in this journey so far. I know, I have a reputation of stopping and giving up and starting a new book, but this is different. I've always felt something special about the potato god and even now am determined to finish the story to give justice to these characters I've created. Thank you for reading along. I know I'm not the best writer out there and rather inexperienced- in both age and writing novels. Yet some of you still chose to believe in me and continue to read what I wrote, no matter how bad the quality was or how long it took for a new chapter to come out. So thank you for that.
Perhaps I may see you in the future, if you ever decide to come back and read season 2. Perhaps I'll see you when I've become a super successful author, or you decide to read another book I've written. I don't know. But all I know is that I'll cherish the few months I shared with you all, waking up every day to read your positive comments, discussing about plot ideas and word choices and most importantly, potatoes.
Ploopie, out.
