I ordered my people to show volunteers to immense love when they come and teach them what words they are going to say to them.

When a volunteer came he met with open arms, everybody patting him, hugging him and saying welcome brother, welcome to believers of Altus. Then he saw my father wearing a robe made out of emerald fabric I bought. He played a respectable holy man very well. He mostly acted as the priest of our village but he had much more natural charisma. He said “Welcome my son to our family. I am the word of Altus. We are believers of Altus. Enemies of the vile, protectors of the innocent.”

Then they were met with a rather intense program. Every day started at 6 am, and started with a prayer. Prayer goes like this “Oh great Altus, god of wild and the hunt. Enemy of the villains, avenger of innocents. Oh great Altus, give me power to do your bidding. Give me power so I can crush your enemies. Give me power so I can avenge the innocent. My flesh, my blood, my soul all for your cause. Please accept my sacrifice, bless me with your holy will. Amen.” Then a good breakfast happened.

I shell out money for good ingredients. This was for making volunteers feel special, they needed that for dedication also they needed to eat good, because their training program was harsh. At 7 am, the morning training happened. We build training weapons out of hardwood. The hunters trained as archers, by archer sergeant Todd. The foresters trained as ax and shield wielding shock troops by Sword Sargent Alex. And farmer peasants trained as spear carrying anti cavalry infantry, by spear sergeant Frank. I really wanted to learn how to use a sword. So I trained away from the group using a hardwood sword and constantly practiced a set of moves shown me by Alex. Also I needed to train my new magic skills, fire magic and the truth magic. So getting involved a great deal with the group wasn’t very wise.

Training continued with little breaks until 12, Then people sat for a big lunch. On 1 pm a prayer similar to the morning one happened then until 3 pm a break was given. When the break is over the work starts. For the first two weeks work is building weapons, I oversee the process but with the tools and workforce we had the work was rather quick and easy, so I never showed my magic. We build weapons, shields and helmets for every member within 2 weeks. Only weapons I personally built were one's for myself, I built a rather nice arming sword and shield for myself. We had many hands and helped greatly. The improvement on weapon using was impressive. I had little idea about sword fighting but I learned a great deal. The same can be said about volunteers too.

At the 7 pm mark we made the evening prayer. Similar to the other prayers. But after the first two weeks the volunteers believed in prayer more and more. Which was the aim. They were becoming fanatics more and more. Everybody being greatly tired they go to sleep one hour after the dinner.

All this time my dad called the members of the cult and praised them privately for rather mundane things like working well or putting good effort in training or being nice to other brothers. This private encouragement made them feel special and made them work even harder.

After 2 weeks I changed the regiment of training via my puppet leader. After morning prayer my 60 volunteers with my team leaders found 3 hunting parties in the morning training period now was the period of hunting for Altus. They hunted anything they could cach. The greatest team with the greatest amount of hunt gets the greatest praise from the voice of Altus. So teams raced constantly for catches more and more. Many boars, elks, rabbits, foxes, wolves were killed. In the second week of hunting the organization skills of the teams were impressive, they used combined arms tactics well. They encircled boar teams, then using a shield wall and spear formation they didn’t let them escape while archers killed them from behind shield carrying axman and spearman. When a boar runs for the wall it becomes the target for spear stabs and ax slashes so the entire team of animals just get killed.

After the hunt training continues 3 hours a day. After that a 2 hour work period begins. Which mostly involve tannery for animal skins making excess weapons for later use. Which team having tanners helped greatly. The skills when ready are going to be leather armor for Avengers of Altus.
