I reached my hideout and the team came close to me, I was sad. I said to them “Please leave me alone with my work for the day, I will talk to you later.” Surprisingly they didn’t object. They had already built the giant Forge 4 meter high from clay and a massive water reservoir made from dirt which was 50 meter in diameter, they were definitely industrious people. I connected mechanical parts of my air blower and other tools, I didn’t show them how the mechanical stuff worked. And they also didn’t understand it. And I made a massive fire in my forge. Put lots of irons in 10 different iron melting pots for making high carbon steel. When steel melted I looked around when I saw nobody around I built a big buzzsaw circle blade with my mind magic. I kept it in shape and air cooled it a little until it got its form. Then I quenched it in the massive water reservoir. Then in the same method I made the drill piece. My woodworking tools have also been made with this effort.
The next day They looked at me with unbelieving eyes. They said “You couldn't make such machines in one afternoon” I said to them “I didn't. They were ready before. I just bring them. They didn’t believe it but they can’t ask questions. Tom just opened the water valve, and with the water pressure buzzsaw started to spin very fast. He ran and grabbed a big stick lying in the ground; the buzzsaw cut it the moment he brought the stick to it. He was amazed. He cried “There is a machine, and All my life, all of it, I had to I had to. That's why you said to us to keep the wooden structures to last right?” I nodded.
With that buzzsaw and the drill we made many wooden structures, Also I was producing new nails constantly. But because the team was around I was using good old hammer and anvil methods.
My dad was an embodiment of a respectable looking guy. He was in his late thirties and had a nice beard with few gray hairs. His face is handsome. His voice is deep, his talking style is understandable and he always made emphasis in his words in the right places. When I told him he is going to be my puppet leader he was ok with it. But the part about him being the word of Altus (a made up title I made for him) made him reject me passionately he said “Son, us mortals don’t play games with gods.” I said to my father “But father, if I insulted or lied about an orc god what would happen?” He said “Noting, he wouldn’t care, gods don't care about people not worshiping to them” I said to him “So, who worships Altus?” He said “I think old forester John did.” I said to him “Old forester John died when I was seven. Altus is a forgotten god, he wouldn't care, like orc gods, or elf gods wouldn’t care what humans tell about them.” He nodded hesitantly and started “But…” I said “No I am in this mess because of you, not the other way around. You teached us if you made a mess you clean it, this is your mess, you're going to clean it. You are going to be the charismatic puppet of me, and you are going to convince a bunch of guys you are getting massages from Altus himself.” He nodded. Swordsman sergeant called Alex asked “But why are we risking angering a god.” I said to him “Do you think if I told the volunteers I am gathering them to fight a baron?” He said “You didn’t tell them?” I said “Of course not, peasants don’t arm themselves against a foreign lord unless they are members of another lord's army. And are we a lord's army?” Everybody shakes their heads. I said “But we are an army, serving someone much stronger than a lord or even a king. We fight for a god, we have nothing to fear” Tim said “But we are not” I said “Tim, they are not going to know that, by the time they learn either Herch is not going to have his head on his shoulders or...” Tim said “Us” I said “Yes brother, so be ready, and try to be the best warrior you can be. Only two scenarios that are going to end either his death or ours. So let's do everything we can to defeat him.”
