my gaze was steady as my multiple eyes scanned the world lying before me. a grin surfaced on my lips while i clutched her slender nape in one of my several hands. the breeze was whispering quaint secrets into my ear while the ground mumbled complaint under my feet. her breathing turned rugged and she fell towards the ground only to be swallowed by its gaping maw.
i turned away from the destruction and death only to be facied with him. his red eyes were filled with wrath while mine were only filled with a calm insanity. his lips parted and he spoke of lives lost and friends perished. altough i payed attention to him, never did i actually take in what he said. i lent him an ear, and that was it.
before i could react, he had already stabbed me with a sharp object. it all seemed so distant and muddled. my feeling were suddently gone, together with any memory of what happened. all that remained was a dull sensation of pain in my carapace.
...
my eyes opened yet again as i looked around in shock. i knew something terrible had happened, but i couldnt set my fingurr on what. my eyes were greeted with a cold, silent wind caressing my body. i turned around, the cold forest greeting me with a silent glare. i looked down upon my hands, and saw it. they were golden as they had been since my death, but unlike then they now had a pink pattern. the pattern blended well with my legs as i once again walked through the tall grass. nothing felt real anymore. an animal seemed to walk beside me, but i was too tired to turn my body to gaze upon whatever may or may not be there.

the rustling of the trees and whisteling of the wind seemed to try to lure me somewhere. i walked with heavy steps, nearly falling many times, but with an odd determination i finally reached what might be my goal. the forest suddently ended, a deep cliff lying before me. if were to fall from where i stood, i would most likely die. my legs would break while my abodamen would splatter like a dropped egg, painting the floor in my blood.
i brought my leg to my face and examined it. it had gotten a sharp edge and the inside seemed to be like a scythe. my leg started trembeling as i returned it to the floor. i didnt bother to check the rest of my body out. i stepped closer to the edge and felt my body growing heavy.
i reached out past the ledge with one leg, then another, and another. i could feel my weight shifting over as i started plummeting to the ground. the wind hit me, sounding much like a shout. it was only then that i thought 'i dont want to die'
'i dont want to die i dont want to die i dont want to die i dont want to die'
my legs flailed about as i felt something new on my back. where my strange tentackles had formally been, there seemed to be something new. they seemed flattened, like a pair of giant discs on my back.
'i dont want to die!'
the discs spread out and started to flap up and down, creating a sound very alike that of a motor. my descent slowed to a snailpace as i stopped falling down and instead started to glide forward. right by the steep fall was a continuation of the forest, wherein i crashed.
two of my legs were broken, one of the wings was completely thrashed, but i was alive.
i lived on.
