as we all stared at eachother in silence, a sound broke the awkward stares, moving our eyes to where the sound erupted. ´holy fuck, what´ my eyes couldnt belive it. high up in the treetops, a flame had erupted. i had no idea where it came from, but the fire greedly chomped down on the wood it was on. birds started flying away, and some poor bastard monkey fell far far down to the hard ground.
before our very eyes, the fire had spread to the trees around it. the warmth had spread all the way to us, which caused us to hop back into reality. Phil took a few steps on the path, the direction we were about to go. he ran as fast as his legs could handle. thankfully, since he had quite powerfull legs, he got quite far. that was until a swarm of birds flew right pass him. the blaze had made its way to the right side of the path, and a few trees fell. one of them, fell right before Phil. the blazing hot fire touched his legs, and soon his screams of pain and agony took the place that the bird held.
he shook his right leg violently, but it only fanned the flames. soon his entire leg was on fire. all me and Georgio could do was stare in silence. as Phils burning body hit the ground. ´oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck´ my small body stared shaking, and at the sudden movement on his shoulder, Georgio moved his shaken gaze to me. i looked back and him, "hold on, we are running back to the river". he positioned his legs as he took off.
he sprinted as fast as his legs could hold it. his body shook violently, and i burrowed my thin legs deep into the fibers on his shoulder. the blazing inferno was burnin behing us, and for every second that passed, it expanded. i had heard about forest fires on the news, but never had i seen one with my own eyes. the terror that flowed inside my veins made me feel like i was about to explode. Georgios eyes gleamed of fear, and i could understand. all i was doing at the moment was simply holding on for dear life. had Georgio not helped me, i wouldnt be alive today.
he ran along the thin path which we had travelled before, only now, everything was on fire. around us the screams of various animals could be heard, and my body trembeled at the thought of what could happen to the two of us. i shook my head as i looked forward. the path bafore us still had luchious greenary, but that was sure to change.
after a while of running, i could hear something roaring louder then the screams around us. "tucha tucha tucha tucha" Georgio had no time to see what it was, but i could. i tuned around my body, only to see our rescue. a rather large red and white hellicopter was flying over us. a wierd sound spread across the forest as a red cloud of smoke was poured down upon the forest. the smoke like cloud killed of a large portion of the fire. Luckily, instead of staring in awe like i did, Georgio ran for dear life. his lungs pumped air and coaldioxid like mad, but he had to keep going.
The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
after a while, a wave of moist air hit us like a wave. the fire was almoast dead. a few other aeral machines had come, and soon the fire was dead. but in its wake, a black, barren deserted land laid. i quietly tapped Georgios shoulder, and he looked at me. i pointed behing him, and he turned his head. he had continued running in order to escape not only the fire, but also the smoke. as he saw how the fire was dead and the smoke was gone, he fell to his knees. he panted heavily, and soon after a helicopter landed a few hundred meters from our position. the persons who had climbed out were walking around, probobly serching for some sort of survivors. one of the men came across Phils charred body. the man shrugged as he went back to da choppah. i had climbed up in a tree in order to see this, and Georgio was sleeping.
´ugh... i wanna puke...´ instead of puking, i simply released some Enzymes. i brought my arms together as i thought in sience of the life lost. i had barely known him, but he was still a human. after a minute of silence, another choppah landed. they inspected Phils body, and took off their hats. they then silently brought his body back to da choppah. it was a sad but routinely scene.
soon after, two of the men came in our direction. my body was tired, but i could still see. the men saw Georgio, and checked his body. they took his pulse, checked his breathing, and then they checked his arm. ´huh? whats wrong with his arm?´ as they ripped off a piece of his green shirt, i saw what was wrong. eight holes were buried deeply in his flesh, atleast a few centimeters in. in that place, blood had stained the shirt in a deep, crimson colour. my eyes moved from the two men, to my own hands. i hadent seen in the rush of fear, but my golden black hands were stained in a deep, crimson blood. my hands trembeled as i looked back at Georgio. his breathing became rough, and his face was taking a pale milky white. my body was once again gripped by fear. the fear of what i had done deeply disturbed me. the men called for a strecher and Georgio was placed upon it with outmost care.
as they started to take his body to a red and white helicopter with a cross on it, (the chruch choppah, as we all know it as) i was dragged out of my fear of killing a fellow human. my thin legs, made for weaving, quickly stabbed into th ground as i ran to da choppah. my breath became ragged as i hurridly tried to cath up. thankfully, they did not notice my advancements, and i cathed up to them. but, since i was sure that they would panic at my visage, i stealthy his my large body as i climbed into da choppah. i buried my body under a seat as they jumped in, Georgios chest bodding up and down with short interventals. i shut my trap, and the choppah started up. "chopp chopp chopp", the blades started spinning and my ears were pierced by this obnoxiously loud sound.
da choppah took off in a whirl of wind and sound. i buried my head in a soft cushion that was under the seat, and i hid. somebody had sat their ass down on it, but that only made it a better hiding place.
´plz, save Georgio...´
