19. Dance Session

19. Dance Session

It’s been four days since we left Ul Thadur. After the fall of Ul Thadur, all gate of the world in the beast man region has been closed to prevent another sneak attack like what I did. So, we have no choice but to travel on road.

By using the mana carriage, we can travel 8 hours per day at most. Reis drives for 3 hours and Erfia drive for 5 hours. So, in a day we travel about 240 kilometers. Apparently Therion is not of use for this thing. Beast man only have a little amount of mana than elf and human after all.

After going north, we’re going east to reach Grouse Port. To reach it, we have to travel for about three thousand kilometers. We need another nine days to reach it.

Fortunately, I have an artificial leg and arm in the Keeper. So, by now Therion is adjusting herself with the artificial leg and arm. It was created by one of my elf friends. I created the concept and designed it while he made it. It is made of a metal for the bone and the skin for protection and a wood for the flesh. By just putting it into her arm, it will become one with the body automatically. The concept is unusual. So, right now he’s as rich as hell because of it.

Talking about Therion, I never thought she’s an obedient type. I thought she will be another hard person like Reis but she’s not. She obey anything I order her without any complaint, not even an escape attempt. Well, even if she escapes, I can make her come back by using the slave bind magic. Maybe, she realizes it. Or maybe because of her past? Well, if it is because of her past, I surely know why as I already held all of her memories that being kept by the Perfect Role Play.

We travel by 4 hours travel, one hour break, and 4 hours travel. Erfia handles the first 2 hours. Reis the next 3 hours, and Erfia the next 3 hours. By the break time, like now, Reis and Therion is preparing the meal while I train Erfia how to use the crossbow and the snake sword she chose back in the Mestoah ruin.

“Erfia, you’re doing it wrong.” I interrupt Erfia’s movement.

I decided to train her how to shoot the crossbow at first and then the snake sword. She mastered the basic use of crossbow by three days and she practiced too at dawn and dusk. By adding her magic to feel the presence of enemies and see the flow of air, she managed to shoot accurately at 100 meters range. She’s just a beast man fox type, so her power is the same as human. Using a crossbow is a perfect fit for her.

Today, she’s training with the snake swords. I put a hard clay in the sharp edge to prevent fatal injury. But she’s having a trouble with snake swords.

“Uh, daddy, it’s so difficult.” Erfia complaints.

Finally she admits it. I take the snake sword from her hand and put it back in the Keeper. “Now that you know how hard it is, do you still want to continue?”

Erfia nods.

“Then, don’t complain about how hard it is, okay?”

Erfia nods.

“Good. Then, that’s it for today, we’ll continue it by the dusk. I’ll show the trick to master it in easy way.”

“Really? Is there really an easy way to do it?” Erfia asks with a bright face.

“Of course,” I answer her with a smile. “Now, we’ll have our lunch.”

We’re back to the carriage where Reis and Therion are waiting for us. The meal for this afternoon is a smoked fish that caught in the river near our place. We start to take our meal. It’s been like this for the past four days.

“Therion, how’s your new arm and leg? Is it good?” I try to break the ice. I don’t really like a silent moment like this.

“Ye, yeah, thanks master. I could move it pretty easy now.” Therion answers me in a flat tone.

“Good, I don’t want you to become a hindrance.”

“Hey Mada, it’s already time you tell us why you take her with us.” Reis interrupts my meal.

“Ye,yeah master, why? I thought you would kill me the moment she let go of me.” Therion implies to Fiona.

I look into Erfia and she’s also looking at me with her mouth full. She also wants to know about it but it seems after what I told her another day, she’s waiting for the food in her mouth to be chewed completely and swallowed.

“I told you, I’m not the one to decide your fate. Fiona is.” I answer their question after I swallow my food. “If she decided to kill you, then I will kill you without a doubt. But she didn’t kill you, so it means you live. It’s that simple.”

“No other purpose?” Reis ask me with her left eye being narrowed.

“Well, I have something else in my mind. But it can wait.”

“That’s not answering my question.”

“Hahaha,” I let out a laugh.

After the meal, we continue our journey till dusk. A party consist of human, beast man, and half breed is unusual and I also don’t want to get into another trouble, so we avoid the cities.

As the dusk comes by, we stop and stay another night in the middle of nowhere. As I promised Erfia, I will show her the trick of mastering the snake sword.

“Okay, so right now I’ll show you the easy way to master the snake swords.”

“Yay!” Erfia cheers as she heard me.

“Um, are we really needed here?” Reis asks me.

Unlike the afternoon, I take Reis and Therion with me to train her this time.

If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.

“I need both of you because it will be easier for her to learn how to dance with another girl.”

“Huh?” all of them tilt their head at the same time.

“Yeah, DANCE.” I put a pressure on the dance part. “Snake sword is a unique sword. In order to master it, you need a different method than a normal swordsmanship. A snake sword movement is affected by body movement. The more fluid your body moves, the better it will move. I’ll show you.”

I take another snake sword from the Keeper. As a note, I have a spare of 26 snake swords.

I’m starting to dance with the snake sword in my hand.

I move while explaining, “The basics of mastering a snake sword is to imagine your hand and your sword as one long whip. Every movement will affect the movement of the sword.”

I move my right hand while moving my entire shoulder and torso to attack one tree. The attack makes the tree crack so bad.

“A half body movement will create enough force to crack a tree. When you want the sword to extend, you push the halt with your finger. If you want it to retract, simply let go of the halt.”

I jump and spin in the air to let out another attack on another tree. This time the attack not only cracks the tree, but it broke the trunk and makes the tree fall. Both of the tree have the size of an adult tight. If the attack hit a person, it could kill him. In this afternoon lesson, I only look into Erfia swinging it as she can’t even make it extend or retract.

“The more body part involved in the movement the greater the strength. But it will lessen the strength if the movement is not good enough.”

I stop my dance movement and swing the sword like a normal sword into a tree, “As you can see, when retracted, this sword is the same as a normal sword. So, it’s pretty great for a close and mid-range combat.”

I hear nothing. No reply, no question, just a silence. I look into them and see all their jaw is dropped.

“So, any question?”

“HOW?” all of them ask me in in the same time.

“First of all, I can’t dance.” Reis gives me the first statement.

“Second, master, even if I can dance, I can’t use a snake sword without the Perfect Role Play.” Therion gives her statement.

“Is it really a dance?” Erfia close both of their statement with a question.

“First, Reis, you will accompany Erfia in the dance session so she won’t get lonely. Second, Therion, the snake sword part is trivial for now. You’ll just use a piece of cloth for now. Last, yes, it is a dance. Any other questions?” I answer them and give them a chance to ask another thing.

Nobody asks. Just a silent

“No? Then, start your dance session. Therion,” I pause for a moment. “Can I call you Eri, it’s a pain to call you Therion all the time?”

“Ye, yes, it’s all right master.” Eri answer me.

“Okay, Eri, starting from today you teach them how to dance. When you deem they’re good enough at dancing, then I’ll take over with the snake sword lesson. Understand?”

“Yes master.”

“Good. Stop calling me master. I don’t like it. Just call me Mada.”

“But mas–“

“No but,” I stop her midway. “Just call me Mada. No master, no tittle. Okay? One more thing. Never call me Mada the Raider. If you have to call me or make a reservation using my name, use Mada Jeian of the Vorks.”

I need to prevent so incident in An Saia won’t be repeated.

“Yes, master,”

I glare at her.

“Yes, Mada,”

I regain Eri’s memories when I put the Perfect Role Play, so I know it she was good at dancing. I’m good at dancing too, but I’m not cut out for these kind of things. It needs a gentleness and delicacy.

“Okay, start your dance lesson. I’ll be making the food starting from today.”

I leave them and head for the carriage as I can see Eri’s starting to teach them while Reis and Erfia obediently do as she says. Erfia has become a slave for a few years and Reis is currently my slave and was my enemy, so it seems they won’t make a fuzz about Eri being our enemy in Ul Thadur.

After the meal is ready, I stop the dance lesson and make them eat with me. Now they could make a conversation better than before. Mainly, they’re talking about the dance lessons. But now I need to ask one thing that’s been bothering me since I met Eri.

“Eri, may I ask you a question?”

“Yes, Mada, what is it?” Eri answer me with better and more relaxes tone than before.

“From the info I gathered. The God Item in the capital, Ul Thadur, should be the Voice of Obedience. But on the contrary, I met you with the Perfect Role Play. Do you know anything about this?”

I need to make this clear as this will decide the course of our next journey.

“Yes, actually, that was a fake rumor the king spread. So, your info is not wrong, it simply fake. I don’t know about the other race thought.” Eri answers me.

Yeah, the rumor is a fake. I knew it was possible to be fake. It that so, the only thing I could believe from the rumor is only their location, not their God Item. I just hope the location is not a fake rumor too.

But at least, this party won’t be silent and boring anymore.
