“Hey Reis! You’ve been avoiding me since yesterday morning! If you don’t mind, will you tell me the reason?” I’m pressing my voice. Even if my word is asking it in a good way, I’m not planning to.
“We, well. About that,” Reis is hesitating.
Finally, I can’t hold it anymore. I don’t know what’s going on, but she’s been avoiding me since yesterday. Even when I asked Ariana about it, she just smiles and said nothing. This pissed me off.
“If you don’t want to answer me. Don’t blame me for using the slave bind magic to make you answer me.”
Slave bind magic has a power to make the slave do anything the master desire. Even if it’s against the will of the slave.
“No, Mada. You can’t do it. You can’t force a woman to answer such thing by force?” Ariana tries to stop me.
“Huh? She’s my slave! I own her!”
“Ple, please, I’ll answer it when I’m ready. But I can’t answer it now.” Reis answers me while she’s trying to hide her face behind a cabinet.
Ch, whatever.
Suddenly a voice rises from outside and it startles us a bit because of its loud voice.
“Ariana the Great Wizard. Human has lost at the recent battle and we, beast man, has taken over Avareel. You get two choices, work for us or become a slave like every single human in Avarel.”
Even though this house is a tree, Ariana made it so we can hear anything that’s happening outside. It won’t make us clueless about what might happen.
“Work for them or become a slave? What’s the difference?” Ariana answers in sarcastic tone.
It will take another two hours for Erfia to recover. I don’t want those beast mans disturb her as I need her and her mana.
I stand from the chair and walk toward outside. “Reis, you stay here in case they infiltrate this place. I need you to protect Erfia before she comes out of that pond.”
“Wait. What are you going to do?” Reis stands and asks me.
“Isn’t it obvious? I’ll obliterate them. This going to become a slaughter house.” I answer her with a grin on my face.
“Don’t make too much of a mess, okay?”
Ariana, you’re asking the impossible. You should have known I’m not capable of doing that.
I’ll fight them as Mada Jeian of the Vorks, so I can’t let them see the Keeper or they might realize that I’m Mada the Raider. It’s a luck for me because my parents gave me such a common name that nobody suspects both of them are the same person.
I take a shield and some long weapon from the Keeper. The shield is a rectangle in shape but it curvy and rather pointy in the end of it. The long weapon is some kind of weapon that is the combination of a sword and a lance. Its handle is pretty long, maybe a meter and the sword itself is a double-edged sword with a length of one meter. Both the sword and the shield are connected by a 3 meters chain. Just like my other weapon, this weapon and shield also a special weapon. Every hit and attack that is received by this shield will be reduced to half of its real power. The other half is stored and it can be accumulated to release an air explosion by the sword. I call them the pair of dragon and phoenix. The lance sword is the dragon and the shield is the phoenix.
I get out and close the door. Once the door is closed, the door just disappear into nothing. Now, I’m standing in front of troops in the middle of nowhere. I observe them carefully. I can count about 500 beast man standing. So, it’s just a party, not a whole army. I try to look everywhere to find the whereabouts of a long distance magic user.
“Huh, look what we’ve got. Mada Jeian of the Vorks is here with Ariana the Great Wizard. What a lucky day this is.”
One beast man is getting cocky and yell towards me.
“I’m more than enough to take care all of you.”
“Huh? What’s a single lowly human like you could do?”
“Agghhh”
Suddenly I hear a scream from the back of their troops. I can see some root is spiking from the ground and stabbing some people.
“I’ve taken care of the long distance magic user. Now you can fight without worry.” Ariana’s voice is echoing in the air.
“Hehehe, thanks mam.”
If the rest of them is just a short range magic user, then the possibility of me losing is nearly zero.
“THEN, SHALL WE START THE SLAUGHTER!” I yell at my lung capacity and march toward them.
They are beast man. I’m not allowed to put them on the same level as a human. A beast man wolf type can move 8 times faster than normal human and they are stronger up to 5 times than normal human. The beast man tiger and lion type can move 5 times faster than a normal human and 10 times stronger than a normal human. Other than those two types, they’re just a small fry.
But unfortunately for you, I’m not a normal human. I remember the days I trained my body to the limit with no one knows about it. After became Mada the Raider, I got worse environment to live in that also took a role in my body training. Without any magic, my body could move at least 7 times faster than a normal human and my body is at least 10 times stronger than a normal human.
I swing my lance sword toward them. I come too fast at them and they let their guard down. By these combinations, I cut at least 8 of them in one swing. At that moment, 8 bodies have become 16 as I cut them all in half. The other that see this can’t stay calm anymore and swing their weapon at me. I spin and use my shield to deflect all of them. I jump and throw the lance sword to the ground.

“BLOW!”
By the voice command, the air around the lance sword explode and destroy anything, or in this case is anybody, within 20 meters radius. I hide behind my shield as I unleash the air explosion. The chain keeps me from flying and the shield keeps me safe while all the beast mans within 20 meters radius has been turned into minced meat.
I land and take my lance sword.
“Lightning bolt.”
I immediately look to the source of the voice and see a light. I’m guessing where it’s heading and hold it with my shield. Without letting me take a breath, some beast man that’s in my back attack me with their claw. I jump beforehand and turn them into a sliced meat. Some beast man come too close. He’s using his own bare hand too. It seems he thinks I won’t have any time to swing my lance sword at short range. Well, he’s not wrong. He just forgets something.
I use my shield to tackle his neck and broke it. To be sure, I split his head with my lance sword. I throw my lance sword above and put my shield above me. A magic attack charges the air explosion much faster than a normal direct attack. So, by one magic attack, I could unleash one air explosion.
“BLOW!”
Another air explosion is unleashed and turned everybody within 20 meters into a minced meat. Normal shield can’t withstand it and it will be torn apart. Only some high quality or magical shield can withstand it.
I catch my lance sword and look around. All of them take some distance from me. My vision is a little blurred as some of their blood splattered in my face. I think it’s less than half right now. No, I can say only a quarter is left. I march to them and have another slaughter. All of them are fighting desperately. Some are using anything as their weapon, some are using their claw and fang to attack, and some are using close range magic. But, I deflect and defend all of their attack and let out another air explosion. Some that still survive is trying to run but Ariana lets no one leave. Anybody that tries to run is stabbed by a spiking root or spiking ground.
Not so long after that, the battle is over. I emerge as the victor in this battle. Well, I can’t say I’m the only one fighting. If Ariana didn’t wipe out the long range magic user, maybe it will take a longer time and a lot harder for me to win.
I walk toward the missing door and yell. “I’m done, let me in.”
No answer.
I wait a bit. I watch the tree closely and finally realize a lot of roots have already surrounded me.
“Ah, Ariana, teacher, what’s the meaning of this?”
“You call me teacher now? Wow. That’s something I haven’t heard in a very long time. Anyway, I don’t want any blood in my house. Prepare yourself to get cleansed.” Ariana’s voice echoes in the air.
Wait what? Cleansed? No, if I remember correctly, I never like the cleansing process. It hurts. But as I see the roots already surround me, I just stand tall and try to hold it all. Finally, all of those roots shoot a large amount of water into me. The power is something else. It feels like being hit by a carriage from all direction into every part of my body.
“That’s hurt! Enough! Ariana, please stop it!”
But it’s not stopping. It’s adding more power and more pain. I put the pair of dragon and phoenix down and try to protect myself. I can’t run. If I try to run, these roots will chase me and when it catches me, I can’t put any defensive position. After some time, finally the cleansing process is done, and the door is opened. I’m soaking wet right now.
I put the pair of dragon and phoenix back into the keeper and walk toward the inside of the house. This house has one extra bathroom near the door. This bathroom is used after the cleansing process is done. I enter it and take all of my clothes off. I put my wet clothes at sticking twig that is used to dry wet clothes and take another clothes from the Keeper. After I change my clothes, I walk into the living room and no one is there.
Maybe it’s already time for Erfia to come out? I walk toward the medicine room and see all of them inside it. Erfia has just come out and she’s not wearing anything. Reis is lowering her body to put some clothes on her. I stand in silence by the door.
Reis takes a look at me and she stops putting the clothes. “You pervert. What are you doing here?”
“She’s my daughter. It’s natural for a father to look at her little child changing.” I’m defending myself.
“If a normal person, yes it does. But for a pedophile like you, it’s not okay!”
“Just get it done already!”
I say my point and Reis says no more. She keeps on putting Erfia’s clothes. Sometimes, she looks into my direction with a disgust look while Erfia just smiles happily and pays me no mind. After Reis have done putting Erfia clothes, I come to Erfia and lower my body. I could see her happy face.
“So, how is it feels? Feels great right?”
“Yes, dad, I can feel like my body so light and a lot of energies running through me. I never felt this great before.” Erfia answer with a very happy tone. “With this, I can finally help you by using a big magic and fill your mana ring faster than before.”
“That’s my girl.” I pat her head and show her my smile.
