Yumiko knocks on one of the doors on the second floor. I wonder why she is knocking, isn't this basically her mansion?

"Yes, step in" A voice says within the room, am I supposed to meet him? I guess I am a guest so it would make sense for me to introduce myself, but really in front of a rich noble man.

Yumiko opens up the door "hey, this is my dad just so you know" she says quietly looking back at me.

I swallow deep before walking in after her.

I walk in and it's a pretty big and comfy place, a fire against the wall, a table in the middle with chairs and sofas, a big lamp above it that lights up the whole room.

"Ohhh it's my daughter, welcome home!" he says with a gentle smile, looking over at us "and who is this boy you have taken with you??"

I bow my head down "Hello, I am Kaito Nakamura, nice to meet you sir" I say politely.

"Ohh now, you don't need to be so polite, if you are Yumi's friend then you're my friend okey" Ohh really, i really don't see how this guy is the same one Yumiko was talking about.

"I found him on the street, he needs a place to sleep so i took him here" Yumiko says without hesitation, I really wonder why she is like this, has her dad done anything?? or what could it be.

"Put on a smile on your face Yumi, you can't look so angry with a friend here" he says keeping on a smile "and yes of course your friend can sleep here"

"Don't call us friends dad, stop jumping to conclusions all the time! I just found him on the street and he wants a place to stay, huum" Yumiko says and crosses her arms and points herself away with a little embarrassed face.

Wait, could she be embarrassed that she brought a guy to her place? Well that would be fun.

"Don't be like that, i told you that you are not going to get any friends if you keep being so stubborn, nor a boyfriend" He says kindly "Yumi come sit down please, you to Kaito, let's just talk a little, okey" he turns to one of the maids "bring some tea please" He asks kindly.

Yeh I really can't see how he is a bad person, he is really nice, I will definitely grow to like this guy.

I walk towards him before Yumiko does, she stands and hesitates for some reason to sit down.

I walk past her dad and he turns towards me "hey Kaito I think I could help you get closer to Yumi" he whispers to me and blinks with one eye.

What was that about, does he want me to get close to her? Maybe I could ask him some other time what he meant.

Yumiko sits down, beside me but of course as far away from me on the sofa as possible, it does get a little nervous tho to sit down next to her.

I take a quick peak to her and she sits with her legs wide just like a dude, her elbow on the side of the sofa and head resting on her hand, she looks a little boyish for how she sits.

"aah ugh" she growls of being bored and she looks off in the distance with her red eyes.

When I think about it, her dad has brown eyes just like me but she has red eyes. The same with her hair color, maybe her mom has red hair and red eyes?

A brown haired maid walks up to the table carrying a golden plate on her one hand with tea on and three small white cups.

She puts it down on the table "enjoy" she says

"Thank you sophie"

"of course mister" she says with a cute voice

"hey so what is your name, mister?" I try to hold a polite voice while talking to him.

"You wanna know my name, well it's Julian Valmont, you can call me Julian. I don't like people being so formal with me, so i prefer being called julian" Julian answers me with a smile while laying towards the sofa.

"Aah okej I see sir Julian" I answer while sitting straight up trying to hold eye contact, with a serious face, I can't seem to relax as much as i would like too.

Julian looks away from me and turns to Yumiko "so" he switches from having his right leg over his left to the opposite "why didn't you tell me that you went out today, Yumi" Julian says but doesn't get angry just wondering.

"Why should I? I can be fine on my own" Yumiko says and looks away quickly.

"Well i would just like to know when you are going out, what you are planning to do and know that you going to be okey"

He is really caring, that's a good thing but to be fair she should be able to go out on her own but then she is noble and i don't know what kind of people lives here

"Ehhh why should I" She answers with aggression.

How stubborn can one be exactly, he only wants to know that nothing will happen to her, her father is a good guy for what i know.

"You could at least tell one of the maids or Miss Rina" Julian says, a little disappointed, but tries to get his smile back "but well did you have a good time?"

"Of course I did, outside is much better than inside here" Yumiko continues to be stubborn and holds her act being angry.

Am I really supposed to be here? listening to family members arguing.

"Okay I see, well please tell me or someone else next time you sneak out okey Yumi" He smiles and ends the discussion.

"Maybe" She answers feistily.

I hope this is over now, I don't like to be in the middle of family arguing.

"Can I talk with Kaito alone for a bit, Yumi?" Julian asks nicely.

"hmh suure" Yumiko answers with her rough Voice, and raises up hastily.

"Thank you" Julian puts both feet down on the floor and tilts forwards to take a sip of the tea.

"Did you like the tea?" Julian puts his tea cup on the table.

"y yeah i did, I think it was really good" I say honestly, it's not as embarrassing now when Yumiko isn't here but it is quite intense.

I take a quiet and deep breath to relax a little, and I reach out for the tea cup.

"That's good" Julian answered.

"What do you think about Yumi, my daughter?" He asks and rests his head on his fist, tilting towards the edge of the sofa, with a calm look.

He starts talking about Yumi this fast, well maybe that's why he told her to get out of the room.

"I think she is a cute lady but with a very stubborn attitude, she is good looking but her personality needs work but i still think I like it a little"

Did i say too much bad stuff about her, i am talking to her dad i shouldn't say that she needs work on her personality right?.

Julian cracks a giggle "yeh that's Yumi for you, she is stubborn that's for sure, but that you seem to like her, that's amusing, there isn't many that says that you know" Julian says and looks amused.

"Is that so, sorry but could i ask something about that, why is she like that?" I am curious, I want to know why she is like she is.

"Well i don't know, she always been like that, she is just stubborn and selfish, I really think she is a good girl but for her sake she needs to change, I think if she could find a friend it would help, someone she can rely on, someone like you" julian says while looking at me and swirling around the tea in his cup his holding.

"I see, thank you, and also thank you a lot for staying here" I would love to help her, get through stuff and be someone she can rely on.

"I would love to try to be someone she can rely on" I say, making Julian smile.

"Of course, and thank you to Kaito"

"Would you like to have some wine? while we talk?" He asks me while looking over at the maid.

"Sorry, I don't drink alcohol" I never tasted it before, so i don't know if I would like it or not but it would feel weird drinking it.

"Ohhh really?" Julian says looking a little down "come on just a little"

"Ehhh okey sure just a little alright" It would be weird to decline something he would like me to do, it is his house i am staying at so if he wants me to drink i guess i'll do it.

"Okey wine for 2 please" Julian says to the maid.

"Also please tell me if there would be anything you would want help with" Julian kindly says

"Ohhh realy? that would be really kind of you" Julian is really a kind man that's for sure.

"Of course, There is not many people who gets close with Yumi specially not around her age, she only choices a small amount on people to trust, sadly she don't like me that much but she likes her mom and Rina her bodyguard. And I could let you stay at this mansion if you try to become friend with her"

"Ohh really? I see. well i suppose I would like to stay here, and try to be by her side" it does feel a little weird, a lot has changed in just a day, from when i died to this, it is pretty hard to comprehend.

"Sounds good" Julian answers while taking a glass of wine that the maid just brought in.

He fills up a glass for me as well and he takes a sip, he rolls his hands in circles with the glass in his hand.

The room is getting pretty dark, only the fire lightening it up, it gives off a warm heat and a smell of fire, it sets up a really comfy place and the sofas are really comfy as well.

I reach out for my glass with wine slowly, while looking around the place.

Ohh is that a clock? I think so, looks like one but I can't really read it, but I suppose it works the same as the world I come from, and in that case the time is 9 pm.

It is pretty dark outside so it would make sense.

I take a sip of the wine and lay with my back against the sofa. I feel much more relaxed now, it's probably just because we are sitting here and talking together in a comfy room, on a comfy sofa.

And the wine wasn't too bad, it was a bit bitter and I think he could see that on my face.

We sat and talked together for almost an hour more, and to be fair I think Julian is a great guy and I see what he means with Yumiko, she would need some close friends to rely on.

"I think I am going to go to sleep now, room 13 right?" I rise up from the sofa.

"Yes room 13, and remember if you need help with anything ask me" Julian says drinking his wine.

I cough, walking towards the exit door "Thank you a lot, good night Julian" I open the door.

"Of course no problems, if it helps Yumi, I will gladly help you. Good night Kaito" Julian says while I walk out the room

Ohh well, I wonder where room 13 is, what is this rooms number.

I don't see any number on it, it only says main office, so this is probably just Julian's office room yeh.

Maybe the room's with a number on are the bedrooms or something, well anyways let's just follow this corridor.

The room's could be farther away.

I wonder if yumiko is sleeping now, or if she is doing something else and what room could she have?

Wait, number 10, and 11 on the other side.

Alright here it is number 13.

I open the door and damn this place is amazing.

I walk inside, towards the bed and sit down, it is so comfy, this bed is amazing!.

This day has been a good one, I haven't had this good of a day in my life, I think this new life is going to be a good one, I hope it will, I wish i could be here forever but to be fair, I am a little scared of going to sleep, what if I wake up in my room home in japan.

I am glad I got a new chance and I will not waste it this time, this time I will live to the fullest.

I think it's best to sleep though, if I am going to do this, then I need energy.

Kaito lays down in his bed and closes his eyes, falling asleep quickly.
