Chapter 22
After the tearful introduction, it was decided that Lenalee would live in the mansion alongside Vincent, Alex, and Klaud so that they could get used to being around one another. Vincent, who knew of the terrible trauma Lenalee had faceed, was giving her special attention. While this made the Alex and Klaud a bit jealous, they still allowed it since they knew that Vincent was just trying to coax the girl in opening up. Oddly enough, it seemed that for some strange reason, the little dark green-haired girl only held actual conversations with Vincent (B: Power of writer’s convenience). With anyone else, they would be lucky enough if they got a few stuttered out replies. Eventually, Lenalee did end up becoming more confident and talkative, but that only happened a few months after she first became a part of the team. She probably would have never completely accepted everyone else if it weren't for the fact that Vincent spoke so highly about them.
Vincent's new daily life looked a little like this.
Wake up next to the 3 females (Lenalee needed the warmth of someone to sleep next so as to not have nightmares.)
Eat breakfast (Lenalee liked sitting next to Vincent. She also started to feed Vincent when she saw Alex and Klaud do it on her first day with them. The 3 of them would sometimes fight over who Vincent liked to be fed by.)
(B: He probably somehow bought something similar to this without us knowing...)
Protagonist’s Charm
Origin: N/A
Description: Every harem protagonist has an aura that attracts women. The strength of this probability depends on the actions of the “protagonist”, but they assure nearly 100% capture if done correctly.
Cost: 95,000 and X-certificate (Something that only high level hidden quests can give...)
(B: Back to the story)
Train: Lenalee was way weaker compared to everyone else, so Vincent would help her out when they sparred. She could never really fight at their level, but Vincent secretly gave her Senzu beans every once in awhile. He made her promise not to tell, and she obediently followed his instructions. The reason why he could afford this is because he leveled up both the soil and spring water in the spatial farm by infusing chakra into large amounts of normal soil and water. It was just enough to bring them to the next level, further increasing the speed at which the senzu beans grew.
Eat lunch: Same as breakfast
Study: Vincent managed to completely learn japanese and a little bit of russian. He would always help Lenalee with her studies, and occasionally Alex as well since she would always whine about the way he treated the Lenalee.
Eat dinner: same
Foursome!... Not, all they did was sleep next to each other. Klaud seemed to be becoming a bit frustrated ever since she no longer got any alone time with Vincent... Vincent once accidentally stumbled upon her in her room one time when she was "enjoying" Vincent's sweaty shirt. After seeing this, he felt that he should keep it a secret...
At night, Vincent would go home and go to bed with Ezra since she would get lonely and unmotivated when she was not neat him. The amount of insects he had was also coming along nicely. He had nearly a ten-thousand of them. It was nice that they also stayed pretty small as long as he didn’t command them to increase in size.
This was basically Vincent’s daily life for a while, one that many men would be jealous of. Becoming super strong, building a harem, and getting laid almost every single night. Truly a life to be envied; however, eventually, all training arcs must come to an end. By the time Vincent and Lenalee were 12, it was decided that Lenalee was more than strong enough to contend with at least a group of lvl 2 akumas (only possible due to the senzu beans and the strict training method Vincent gave her). In fact, she had been the reason that they hadn't yet left to go on assignments.
After nearly 4 years since she came, it was now time for their team, Squad Nine, to do their duties as exorcists and search for innocence while taking care of akuma. Over these past few years, everyone except Lenalee made substantial progress in their strength. With the exception of Vincent, who managed to increase things such as his control over his innocence and the total capacity of his different energies, everyone else only managed to increase the amount of faith energy and resonance with their innocence. Of course, that was still more than enough to make them probably one of the top groups in the entire Black Order. Also, there weren't that many akuma sightings in the country, so it was likely that they wouldn't be in too much danger for their first few missions. Eventually though, they'd have to go to other countries to help out with the increase of akuma sightings overseas. But that wouldn't be for at least a year or if the akuma sightings suddenly spiked up.

----------------------------------------
Today was Squad Nine’s first official mission. They woke up extra early and were already packed up, ready to go.
Alex: Vincent, hurry up! Why's it taking so long for you to change?
Vincent: Coming!
Unbeknownst to the rest of his team, the reason Vincent was taking so long was because he had to check in on Ezra and the spatial farm before he left. He didn't know when he’d get the next chance to go back since when he traveled with Alex and the others, he wouldn't be able to react with his “Vincent” body. About a year ago, Ezra told him something that he never knew. Not only that, he remembered something that he had been meaning to ask the spatial farm for quite some time...
Flashback
Vincent: What do you mean that when I’m here as Mike, I can’t react to what happens to my other body!?
Ezra: ...I’m sorry. I really didn’t mean to not tell you. It’s just, I thought that if you knew, you might not want to spend as much time with me since you wouldn’t want to risk your body dying.
Vincent: Haah… At least its good that the only times I left my body were when it was night, with Lau guarding the room. Make sure to tell me about these things earlier, okay?
Ezra: *sniffle* Okay…
Vincent: Alright, come here. *hug* I’m not mad, I just don’t want things to happen when I could have prevented them. Is there any way to make it so that I can know if my Vincent body is in danger, or if I can control both my bodies at once?
Ezra: There are.
Dual Body Control
Origin: N/A(There are plenty of sources with this ability)
Description: Allows for the user to control 2 bodies at the same time. Can be further upgraded.
This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.
Cost: 11,000
Danger Alarm(close enough)
Origin: Skill Taker’s World Domination
Description: An alarm that rings the more in danger the user is.
Cost: 4,000
Vincent: ...Alright, I’ll make the second one my priority for now since it's cheaper. Since you showed me it, I assume that it will work even if my consciousness is not in the body?
Ezra: Yeah, after asking the system, it seems that it will warn you as long as it is considered to be “you”, even if you aren’t really inside of it.
Vincent: Alright, make sure to tell me about anything else that might seem important.
Ezra: Alright, I promise I won’t disappoint you!
After that, the two spent quite a while talking over things that Ezra might have forgotten to tell Vincent.
----------------------------------------
----------------------------------------
Ezra: Oh rifht, Mike, weren't you going to have the spatial farm scan you for why your body changed?
Mike: Shit, I forgot!!!
Mike quickly changed back into his Vincent body and had the farm scan it for any abnormalities.
System: Scaning... 1% 2% 3%... 100%. Scan complete. Besides Faith energy and Soul energy, host seems to have been infected with a type of parasitic entity. It is attached to the hosts soul and will gradually take over the host. It is not possible to get rid of it with Farm's current level. It is also not possible to wipe it away without at least spending 200,000 C-points. Host's strengthened soul seems to have weakened the entity's influence. It will not awaken until host is at least 20 years old (physically). It is possible for host's soul to eventually devour the parasitic entity if further strengthened. This is the recommended choice of action...
Vincent: I can absorb it!?
Ezra: Yeah, according to what the scan shows, it really might be the best course of action for you...
Vincent: What would happen if I do?
Ezra: Well, this confirms that you were infected with Nea Walker's memories, so it might give you the power to transtorm into a Noah... the scan shows that if you devour the ego inside of you, it shouldn't change your personality. At most, you'll just see Nea Walker's memories.
Vincent: Okay, but this just leaves me with even more questions...
Ezra: Like what?
Vincent: Well, like how did I get those memories inside of me? Why did Mana not come for me? How did they even know where to find me? According to what I remember, the original Allen Walker saved Nea and Mana Walker way in the past. But I know for sure that I was barely born a couple of years ago.
Ezra: So?
Vincent: So, who was it that made Mana and Nea Walker choose me as the person to be injected with Nea's menories...
End
Alex: Geez, what took you so long?
Klaud: I thought I taught you to always be punctual?
Lenalee: Come on, let’s go! I haven’t been to the outside world in a long time.
Vincent: Alright, alright, let’s go. Sorry, I just had to make sure I had enough spare clothes(when exactly did these 3 become so open? Oh well, makes things easier for me...) Anyways, let’s go! After so long, it’s finally to do is our duty as exorcists.
Lenalee(imouto): I know, but we can still have fun, right?
Alex(childhood friend): Why are you being so dramatic?
Klaud(sexy nee-san): I know you’ve been wanting to get to work, but make sure you’re not all talk, alright?
Vinceny: *sniffle* let’s just go…(What the hell!? When did they all become like this? They used to be so easy to tease...)
1 year later…
Vincent was now 13 years old. Over the past year, Vincent could say with full certainty, that not a single time did he face as much danger as the time he fought against the 2 Noah. He had mixed feelings about the matter since he wanted to grind for more points, but he also didn’t want to face the Noah with Lenalee and the others as a liability. After all, if he was barely able to kill 1 Noah due to luck, then even if he had grown in strength, he’d never be able to deal with the full force of the Noah family and the Earl, much less protect the rest of his team. All in all, Vincent wasn’t in a rush, but he was always looking forward to finishing his main mission; However, he knew that the more time he had to prepare, the better his chances against the Earl and the Noah were.
There were many things that happened this past year. For example, Vincent had his Kidaichu stop breeding at 15,000 since the population had basically reached its maximum capacity for the time being. His progress in terms of shinobi training could also be said to have slowed down quite a lot since he was only relying on exhausting and refilling his chakra to increase it, which was getting harder and harder to do, though his chakra control was still increasing at a consistant rate and he had learned and created plenty of jutsus. His ability to stay in his “Ex-shin” form was also reaching a stopping point since he was getting pretty close to reaching the next level and being able to level up his zanpakuto to its bankai form.
Right now, he could be considered a “cheat level” existence, if it weren’t for the fact that he knew that the Noah were just as cheaty as he was. After all, Tykki himself was able to completely control the laws of physics and Road could open up dimensions. Then include the fact that there were way more of them around, and you have an incredibly overpowered group of existences, all of which were probably still pissed and biding their time who knows where waiting for a chance to kill him. On the bright side, Vincent managed to at least gain some new enhancements and increase his *cough* bonds *cough* with his teammates (pretty much each of them will get a side story at the end of the arc).

That's basically all that happened during the past year, other than the fact that Ezra managed to increase her magic capacity by enough so that she could be equipped in her battle armor for about an hour. It was a pretty good practice run, but just like what Vincent had assumed before, after one year of easy mode, it was now time for them to kick things up a notch. Right now, Vincent and his team were back at Black Order HQ being briefed by Jack about their new assignment.
Klaud: So, I guess we're finally going overseas, huh?
Alex: Finally, this past year has been way to easy going. If it wasn't for the fact that Vincent would spar with me, I would be bored out of my mind.
Lenalee: It might be easy for you, but for me, it was already pretty dangerous. Still, I'm sure that I can at least keep my life when wer're over there. I don't want to hide behind Vincent anymore...
Vincent: Don't worry, I don't plan to protect you forever. Why do you think I trained you so hard?
Lenalee: Ugh, don't remind me...
Klaud: Ho~, from the looks of it, I might need to ask you for advice on how to train people, Vincent.
Jack: *cough* Excuse me, before you guys started to interrupt me, I was talking about the details of your mission.
Vincent: Sorry about that Jack.
Jack: It's fine. By the way, what happened with them? Their personalities became... stronger.
Vincent: Hell if I know. Before I knew it, things were already like this.
Jack: Hmm... Well, whatever. For now, relax for the rest of the week and pack your bags. You're leaving for Japan.
Vincent: (Damn it. This world has okay levels of technology, but anime is still in its early stages. I guess I can forget about that trip to Akihabara... Oh well, I can probably afford to watch anime with Ezra at night.)
