Sorry for leaving you all for so long! I honestly got caught up in my online classes + summer + a lot of other light novels I discovered = I forgot about my own book! I will try harder to actually update! Oh, and my editor is the one that had to be given credit for reminding me about writing! Anyway, sorry again!!!
(By the way I added ‘mana armor’, which is just them using mana to create a thin outlining over their body that acts as armor in the middle of fighting!)

----------Random Heavenly Sun Sect Elder’s POV----------
As we neared the pathetic excuse of a sect we raised our voices and all eyes turned toward the sect with greed. In order to raise moral further our Sect Leader stood up before us.
[Sect Leader] “Today we have come to wipe off the abomination of a sect that has dared house a member of royalty within it’s filthy walls! This lowly sect dares to come before us and reuse to dissolve into the nothingness that is really is! Today, we have gathered in order to show this sect what a REAL sect looks like!”
Instantly all members of the sect gather and cheer, their eyes burning with hatred and jealousy towards the sect before them. Their hatred was almost comparable with the hatred of the Blood Elves, and their jealousy churned for the lowly establishment that housed royalty.
[Sect Leader] “This sect no longer has the right to remain standing, and as such no longer has the right to their disciples or their resources! This being so… you may take whatever you find and whomever you find as soon as we crush this ant that dares raise up against us!!!”
At the mention of the ‘prize’ that would be available to us a soon as we win the crowd’s eyes all filled with greed, some even having the glimmer of lust. With the disciples here being around the ages of around 12 to 18, it is only natural that their minds go elsewhere.
Soon after this round of cheering comes to an end, horns could be heard in the distance, signifying our arrival and the battle that will soon commence.
----------Luna’s POV----------
Looking onto the battlegrounds my eyes open in wonder and admiration. The Heavenly Sun Sect is using a famous battle plan that was developed a few thousand years ago. It consisted of the main force attacking straight on, while having a line of the most powerful at the back. Once the battle was full on raging and casualties had been taken the experts would then zoom to the front and take out as many as possible. It worked because they had their experts fight us while we were weak and exhausted.
This was one of my most favored techniques to study as a Nymph, however was not recommended due to the amount of casualties that your side would take in order to wear out the other side who is using their best in the front. I look over at our side to see what we have going so far.
Caos. That is what our side looks like. It has absolutely no structure or planning to it. I know we aren't the best of the sects, but REALLY? The one thing that is unforgivable in battle is not having order and a plan. I feel my right eye twitch in annoyance as I look between the structured army of the enemy and the unorganized chaos of our own. Then, while no one seems to notice their own mistake, they all just blindly rush in at once.
My mind instantly compares the advantages that the Heavenly Sun Sect holds above us now. The first one would be their plan. They know what they are doing and know how to do it. The second thing is their numbers. This sect heavily outnumbers us, so they didn’t even need to bring all their members, but they are still able to out number us. Another advantage is that they have more wealth which has allowed for better weapons and better equipment, and this is above what our sect is able to afford us.
I sigh as I look at the battle raging below and get down from the tree I was atop to join in the fray. To my luck, or as others would say,”to my misfortune”, my first opponent is a talker. Why do I always end up fighting the talkers?
[?] “Hey little missy, are you sure you're able to hold that weapon of yours?”
He jeered as if he made the comment of the century and raised his axe up in what I assume could only be his futile attempt of a menacing pose. He is tier 5… I am seriously wondering what these people are doing to common sense these days. NEVER judge your opponent by their age, and ALWAYS look at their cultivation BEFORE attacking. This should be common knowledge, so why do so few people know it?
The man then sprout some vulgar words I doubt he even understands himself, and then rushes at me. His eyes are full of anger… just by me ignoring him.
[Me] “Rule number 1, never lose your calm in the battlefield.”
Just like that I too rush at him, only in a more menacing way that causes him to flinch. That slight hesitation was enough for me to move in close. I swipe my sword towards his abdomen, and he counters with his axe. I then take a few steps back, causing his axe to fumble and he lost his footing. I then swipe several times in the air and his eyes widen as several wind slices tear at his flesh. Lucky for him, he seems to have been able to produce a light magic armor in the last moment. Despite this he still took some damage.
[?] “AAAAGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!”
He make a sound of agony, and five other boys turn our way. They then join in the battle in order to help their wounded comrade. Unfortunately their tiers all happen to be 4-8, and only one of them having on magical armor, not including the bleeding one that they came to help. This little blunder of theirs was instantly exploited by me.
[Me] “Rule number 2, never underestimate your opponent.”
Their eyes widen in that moment as understanding dawns on them… understanding that comes too late. I swipe my hand across the air and a fire tornado appears before me that engulfs all of the surrounding enemies. I was able to take out the 6 men along with a few other men that were attacking my comrades.
I dab at my sweat that is lightly covering my head. The last attack took more out of me than I expected. I will have to train more in the future. I look around and notice my roommate, Maria, in some trouble. I start rushing there, however some other’s block my way. There are three this time, two girls and one boy. All of them seem content in blocking my way. Tsk, I do not have time for this! I analyze their tiers and about fall back. Tier 7, tier 9, and a tier 10. One is below me, while the other two are above in tiers. Although tier is not a way to indicate who will win in a fight, it is a way to show the amount of raw power and talent a person holds.
The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.
I quickly back off a few steps to distance myself from these people. If I am guessing correct then they should be the more powerful disciples of the sect, so why are they here? Shouldn’t they still be at the back? I quickly spare a glance at the back and my eyes narrowed in disgust. They messed up one of my favorite techniques… they went too early! It's incredibly hard to mess up such a simple thing… yet they somehow did!
A movement from one of the disciples causes my attention to snap back to my impending battle. Unsurprisingly, the first attack takes the form of a oversized flaming fist. I cast a water wall that is cold enough to stop the flames from touching me, and just like that the fighting begins. I must not make a mistake or else I will die… these disciples are too strong to be taken lightly. I smirk… this is good. I have already lived one life, let this one be full of risks! I dodge the incoming earth spike, and use the boy as a shield against the incoming water bullets. As a result, the boy's body now looks like a mutilated corpse… I must make sure I don’t get hit by those.
Now my only enemies consist of the two girls, the tier 7 earth user and the tier 10 water user. I dodge a earth arrow coming to my side, but this causes me to hesitate a little too long to dodge the incoming water arrow. It seems as if these girls are used to team fighting. I stand back up, wincing when my new stomach wound slowly oozes blood. I swipe my sword in multiple fast wind attacks, not holding anything back. As a result the earth girl’s magic armor is unable to hold up and I am able to cause multiple wounds to appear, one of which hits a major blood supply, causing her to bleed out.
The odds of me surviving has now raised considerably, but I still have to deal with the strongest fighter. She says nothing, but I can see that she is just barely controlling her anger. She must be experienced in order to hold that in. She then releases the full power of a tier 10 user, and she sends a large water blade my way. I just barely dodge, and while focusing on not getting decapitated by that water blade she comes in close and swipes at me with her twin daggers. I manage to block the one on my right with my sword, however I had to result in using my left arm to stop the blade from closing in to my chest. Even with my magic armor and the extra strength given to me by the griffon core, the dagger still manages to penetrate to the very start of the bone before stopping and getting stuck. During this short amount of time I ignore the pain and swipe at her, causing her headless body to fall to the ground.
I look at the dead body, and then proceed to take a hold of the handle of the dagger buried into my arm. I grip the handle, and quickly pull it out of my arm.
[Me] “AGHHH!”
The resulting pain is unimaginable, but I focus on healing the injuries. Soon thewound on my stomach, and my arm starts to slowly patch itself back together. I look over at Maria, and see that she received some help from another member of the sect, and that she is fine now. I then back away to focus solely on healing. After a few moments I hear a heart wrenching cry of agony reach my ears.
[Tyler] “SISTER, NOOOO!!!”
Recognizing that voice, my head snaps into attention towards the cry. There I see a horrific scene playing out. A large man with a scar across his left eye lifts up his long blade and I see in slow motion Abby’s top section separate from the lower portion. I widen my eyes and felt tears leak from the corners of my eyes.
I scream in agony at the loss of a friend, and then scream in pain as something is burning into my chest. It hurts… why did she die?... they attacked us… the pain is too much… they were the cause of this… why does my chest hurt like so? The last thing I saw was my key necklace glowing… then nothing.
----------Tyler’s POV----------
[Me] “SISTER, NOOOO!!!”
Then I see my sister, the last of my family, die. I scream in dismay, and then I notice the horrific guy come closer to me. There is nothing I can do… I failed my sister… my life is forfeit.
Then the guy that was coming for me was suddenly cut down by an unexplainable streak of light. I look towards the source and all I see is a demon. A little farther down the battlefield is a demon, no, more like a devil reincarnated…. This beast shares some of the same features as my sister’s friend, Luna, but something is wrong about this figure. It has two inward curved, large, black horns and the powers that are being wielded by that beast is not one that a human should be able to wield. Dark energy follows the creature as it seemingly disappears from one end of the battlefield to another, leaving trails of blood in it’s wake.
Normally one would shiver in fear before such an abomination, but to me it feels like salvation. It has gotten rid of my sister’s murderers, and is ridding our enemies from the world. Who would have known? Me, the hatter of all suddenly finding peace in such a creature. Whatever happens next, I do not care nor do I care about the result of such a mindless slaughter. All I care about is that my sister’s killer has been avenged.
----------Random Elder from Heavenly Sun Sect POV----------
We were pushing back the worthless scum and killing all, no matter the age. AHAHAHAHA, such slaughter is good for the mind! I watch as another elder kills a cowardly girl and grins cruelly at that girl’s brother. It is always interesting to see how he kills siblings before one another. He takes pride in destroying the minds of such children, and I don’t mind the show myself.
Then I hear a cry that sounds as if it came from the devil himself, and I look around to see hiiii----her?! Contrary to popular belief, it seems as if the devil is in fact a girl. Who would have known?! It seems as if we had really done it this time… we finally managed to send to many souls to the devil to tick her off. She must be pissed at the amount of deaths we have caused in the recent years… ha~. I never would have guessed that I would go out by the devil.
I then see many of my comrades fallover in a pool of their own blood, and I await my turn. Then suddenly I feel a sharp feeling in my stomach, I look down and my vision starts to blur. Who would have known… such a way to go. Then my vision goes black, never to open again.
