The world changed in 2052. Space exploration was at it's peak to search other planets for materials and resources. Along with many projects to find ways to continue the Human legacy from this dying planet Earth.
During space exploration (Project Rebirth) a group of scientists has come across a mysterious cube shaped object that latched itself onto the spacecraft. It then soon hijacked into the comms following the signal back to Earth. Noticing the anomaly, they attempted to restraint it, but failed.
As the cube landed in Earth. The cube disappeared, making it one of the mysterious wonders of space events.
In the company [Crystal Core] the cube melted into the unassuming computer. Noticing the changes, the owner thought it was destroyed, thinking his Virtual Reality device failed yet again. A small glow processing uncountable data, this computer evolved.

"And the Nobel Prize goes to Dr. Baltor for creating the Neural Virtual Reality Device. Capable of connecting the human senses in the Virtual World." The latest groundbreaking technological advancement. People around the world attempted to steal the tech, but failed. No matter how much data they copied, their servers overheated. No matter what data they stole, it didn't achieve anything.

The government attempted to restrain it, but Dr. Baltor goaded them. "Try it. You will fail." Trying to capture Dr. Baltor and his machine, it evaded them. He used some sort of superpower to enter into the Virtual World, disappearing off Reality.
No matter how many attempts as if having its own mind, the device then started to produce Virtual Reality helmets and Gaming Pods. Having lost, the government then agreed to collaborate with Dr. Baltor otherwise he would destroy all technology in the world. Having no way to fight back they surrendered allowing the production, sale, and distribution of the Neural Virtual Reality Devices.
Now in the year 2076, [Crystal Core] is known for being the first Neural Virtual Reality company. It's sister company [Crystal Nutrients] sell nutrient drinks that could extend life. To be stored in the Gaming Pod's allowing people to stay inside for months. With this, the age of Martial Arts also bloomed. Having a realistic fighting system in the Virtual World, actual martial arts knowledge would be extremely helpful.
