Chapter II: Evidence & Precedence
----------------------------------------
The sunlight started to peer through the curtains of the shop, and Ralph wiped some blood from his chin. The only thing left of Ralph’s boss was a pile of bones laid upon a piece of cloth.
"Great work, my guy. Not even I could have eaten a whole corpse within a given night. You're a trooper if nothing else," said Eddy.
Ralph burped and groaned, "I think I'm going to throw up."
Eddy gasped and said, "What the fuck? Don’t do that now. It'd be a waste, and you'll blow your cover. Now hurry and wrap up those bones. We have places to be."
"I'm so tired. I just want to lay down in my own bed," said Ralph as he rolled up the bones.
Eddy then said, "All you do is complain, and you wonder why your old boss was so mean to you."
Ralph responded by putting Eddy into his pocket and began to walk out of the store with a roll of cloth over his shoulder. The townspeople had yet to start their day, so Ralph was able to nonchalantly walk about the village’s muddy roads. His trip took him longer than it needed to, yet he managed to dump the evidence into a river without being seen.

Ralph hung his arms low and said, “Sleep… I need sleep.”
“Shut up already! You know that I can hear most of your thoughts, right? There’s no need to groan on like you do, ugh,” exclaimed Eddy.
Ralph meandered towards his simple dwelling with tears under his eyes and said, “Eddy, I thought you promised to help improve me. Yet all you’ve done is made me commit crime after crime. The village will surely hang me for my deeds, and for what?”

Eddy ignored his dreary mind and said, “Hey, don’t worry, I’ll come through on my end! Just make sure you shut the door slowly so that you don’t wake your mother. She might ask why you were out, and we can’t be having that.”
Ralph pulled up the sagging door and held the handle down to prevent the clicking sound. From there, he walked like a zombie through a curtain that contained his bedroom. He then smacked his cot like a log and began to snore within a couple of minutes.
Eddy tapped himself against Ralph and asked, “You finally fall asleep there buddy?”
“Good… Now let me check out our stupid box since I have nothing better to do now, profile,” whispered Eddy.

“Man, when did killing things have to be about stats, levels, and damn abilities. In my previous life, you killed for the fun of it… Not for levels, not for glory, and not even for pussy. Yet it looks like he doubled his health and stamina after just killing one old man, so maybe that’ll help us kill more people? Fuck if I know. I don’t even remember what he wanted in our little arrangement. How did that one day even go again?” murmured Eddy.
