Chapter 59

Victor lazily relaxed in the Royal Suite of the Lanesborough hotel. Scarlett and her group had been led off to MI6 for questioning so it was only Harley and Victor left.

Harley was flying and teleporting around excitedly. Although the hotel was styled like a noble man’s castle which was similar to the design of houses back in Astra, there was still a modern touch such as a 50-inch television in the cinema room which Harley found new and exciting.

She of course summoned her new subordinate Caitlyn and she happily explained everything that Harley didn’t understand.

The main door to the room swung open and a maid walked in. Victor turned his head to examine the person but quickly lost interest.

[WARNING! ADMIN IS IN DANGER, ENFORCERS HAVE BEEN CONTACTED, ASSISTANCE ARRIVING IN 30 MINUTES]

Victor immediately jumped from his sofa in distress. Usually, the system voice was calm but now it sounded like the world was ending as it screamed in his head.

‘System, what's wrong?????’

Victor scanned his surroundings yet nothing seems out of the ordinary. No large dragon in sight, no meteor in the sky, no assassin to be seen. What could even threaten him in a world that’s not bound to the system?

‘Wait maybe the enemy is invisible?’

Victor turned on his [Mana Vision] skill and his view changed. Everything that produced mana had a blue outline. He could see the guards standing outside the door that had very faint blue lines indicating the very small amount of mana in their bodies. It was only around 10% of the mana a level 1 person bound by the system had.

Victor continued looking around, Harley gave off an almost blinding blue light due to her immense amount of mana. He continued looking around frantically before noticing something off.

There was a black silhouette of a girl. As in it was completely pitch black. Although the guards outside aren't part of the system, their bodies still absorb and release some mana, kind of like radiation.

Yet this girl was just black, no mana at all as if she wasn’t even alive but just a rock.

Victor turned off his mana vision and stared at the anomaly again. It was the maid who had entered right as the system freaked out.

Then the system answered his question and he freaked out

[Name: ???]

[Race: Ḵ̷͌͂ĺ̵̳̥́̉ȯ̶̢̱͝n̵̟̣͊͂́ĩ̵͈̝͖s̵̛͎͑̊ ]

[Target is a member of the Ḵ̷͌͂ĺ̵̳̥́̉ȯ̶̢̱͝n̵̟̣͊͂́ĩ̵͈̝͖s̵̛͎͑̊ race, they are galactic beings which harness antimatter as a fuel source, which provided great destructive abilities, but it corrupts their minds with an endless hunger for mana.]

This little girl was a member of that alien race he was supposed to fight in the future? I thought they were over a thousand years away, why is one here now?

Victor couldn’t keep his calm anymore and directly locked eyes with the girl. His expression turned cold and he asked with a slight disgust in his voice,

“Ḵ̷͌͂ĺ̵̳̥́̉ȯ̶̢̱͝n̵̟̣͊͂́ĩ̵͈̝͖s̵̛͎͑̊”

The word seemed impossible to say. The two guards who were standing outside the door had noticed a disturbance so they entered the room. Upon hearing this incomprehensible word their mental states became broken.

They started clawing at their ears frantically as if trying to dig out the word they had heard. Blood poured from their wounds but they didn’t stop, they screamed in agony as they dug out entire chunks.

After a moment they had reached their skull and they smashed it open and without hesitating grabbed a handful of brain matter.

Of course, this killed them instantly and their corpses hit the ground. Yet even in death their bodies still shuddered and tried to crawl away from the one who uttered such an alien word.

Harley was in agony after hearing the word but desperately hung onto her fleeting sanity. She couldn’t handle the pain any longer and switched to her Netherborne form and let out a terrifying screech while clutching her horns.

The maid girl’s smile twisted in a disgusting and inhumane way.

“Quite perceptive aren’t you”

The Ḵ̷͌͂ĺ̵̳̥́̉ȯ̶̢̱͝n̵̟̣͊͂́ĩ̵͈̝͖s̵̛͎͑̊ abandoned its form and shapeshifted into a humanoid shape. It stood at around 6ft tall and was very lanky as if it hadn’t eaten in months.

The weird black mass in a humanoid form became covered in blood-red eyes.

Panic immediately set into Victor. He couldn’t see through his opponent’s strength nor did he know how to beat it.

This black mass of eyes then grabbed the two guards who had fallen at its feet and sucked the mana from their bodies. The corpses lost their color and quickly withered away. The Ḵ̷͌͂ĺ̵̳̥́̉ȯ̶̢̱͝n̵̟̣͊͂́ĩ̵͈̝͖s̵̛͎͑̊ then discarded the bodies to the floor and they disintegrated into a pile of ash on impact.

The black blob then seemed to grow slightly in size from the meal and a few more eyes popped out.

Victor was no fool. A creature that can grow during a fight needs to be dealt with as quickly as possible. He needed to go all out.

[System has granted host with unlimited processing power, try to hold out for 30 minutes, help is on the way]

Victor felt his mind instantly clear out. Although his previous processing power was similar to a supercomputer, compared to what he currently felt it was like comparing the power of a light bulb to the sun.

He only needed to hold out for 30 minutes!

Reporters excitedly gathered around the gates to the Lanesborough hotel. There was a rumor that aliens had exited the portal and were currently staying at this hotel.

There were over a hundred reporters that belonged to news networks across the world. Some were reporting in Chinese while others were in Spanish. Of course, there were many British and American reporters too.

They just repeated the same piece of news and made speculations of what this could mean.

Suddenly a loud explosion was heard. Cameras all shot up in unison towards the noise.

The left side of the Lanesborough hotel’s roof seemed to fly off and an enormous creature emerged with a loud roar.

It was 18 meters high and therefore dwarfed the 4 story hotel. The creature’s golden eyes stared down at a small black humanoid figure that had emerged onto the roof.

Its enormous 100 meter long wings spread out and threatened to block out the night sky.

Then weird blue patterns began spinning around the enormous creature. At first, there were only around 3 but it soon became 10 and then increased to 100. Moments later the entire sky above London was covered in blue circles. They began spinning at crazy speeds and all seemed to converge on a single point, where the black humanoid was standing.

Yet to everyone’s surprise it remained expressionless.

To perform and cast so many spells at once, Victor was computing maths equations on an unprecedented scale. If humanity could access this much computational power then they could advance as a species by a thousand years in an instance.

The magic circles then stopped spinning. Massive golden shields appeared and covered everything, except for the hotel where the humanoid black mass stood.

“Die”

The enormous winged demon uttered a single word and the world turned white.

Over a million spells, all at a high tier shot across the sky at a single point, causing an explosion a hundred times more extreme than a nuclear bomb.

People cowered in fear behind the golden shields with their ears desperately plugged with their fingers. If they heard the shock from this explosion they would surely go deaf.

Yet there was no sound.

No light.

Nothing.

Everyone carefully opened their eyes and stared in the direction. To their surprise, a large black hole seemed to be sucking the mushroom cloud from the explosion back down to the ground. Even the light and sound couldn’t escape this black hole.

The humanoid figure began laughing maniacally

“HhAHFAHAHAhaAHaHAHAHAHAHAHAHAFHAHFAHFAHFAHFahfAHFHAGHAHAGHAFHASFHASFHADSHDFASHFHHAHAHAHAFHAHFAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHYAHAHYHYHAYFAFAFADAHAHA”

“IT'S BEEN SO LONG SINCE I TASTED THIS MUCH MANA AT ONCE”

“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH”

Zero’s body began expanding in size as it absorbed the vast amount of mana it had just received.

It just kept expanding until it was the same height as Victor.

The two titan-sized creatures of darkness then glared at each other. Victor stared in disbelief and horror at the creature before him. It also started back with its millions of grotesque red eyes.

Everyone: “_”
