“Sir! the energy beams have stopped firing and I received reports that some of the teleportation gates have stopped functioning!”
Right as Lucas, the commander of Edens military made the report to Victor, the entire island shuddered and slowly started to descend to the ground.
‘What the hell is going on?’ Victor asked himself while checking his Divine power levels for the first time. In the past no matter how much Divine power he used, so long as he was within his territory (the Underworld) it would regenerate faster than he could use it.
Looking at his Divine power rapidly falling to 20% and not regenerating despite him being inside his Dungeon caused Victor’s face to pale.
‘So the Goddess also locked my Divine power from regenerating!’
“Commander Lucas inform the people that I will need to redirect my Divine power reserves towards keeping Eden afloat. All other artifacts that I created will cease to function from now on.”
“Sir, is there no other way? A civil war will break out if the killing intent array stops working!” one of the deputy commanders questioned Victor’s decision with a shocked face.
“Unfortunately the Goddess has blocked my powers, Eden cannot fall!”
“To reduce the effects of a civil war we need to direct the people’s military power to stop the monsters, we can’t handle them all ourselves now that the artifacts have stopped working. I will create a new feature of the Eden cards for this purpose.” Victor stated while manually deactivating all his artifacts in his status screen.
Lucas then directed everyone's attention back to the hologram “The shield is now at 10% of its remaining strength and will fail soon.” He then pointed towards the borders of Utopia “The outer walls of Utopia are 30,000km in length. We only have 500 combat-focused residents of Eden. Therefore each combat resident would be responsible for handling all the monsters attacking a 60km length of the wall. The wall itself is rather strong and should hold back the monsters for a few days before being breeched but it does nothing to stop flying creatures.”
One of the combat residents shook his head at Lucas’s battle plan “Not all of Edens combat residents can handle such a large area, the large scale mages might but the close-range fighters like myself simply can’t defend such a large area when I can only kill one monster at a time!”

Another elderly grand council member spoke up “Why don’t we ask for help from Utopias adventurers guild? They have many high-leveled people, although they are much weaker than us we could use them as disposable pawns to slow down the monsters advance and give us more time to deal with the situation?”
A younger-looking man with a bald head but golden eyes replied to the elderly council member “I hate the idea of admitting weakness to those lower creatures but I do agree with the disposable pawn idea and reducing the workload for us.”

When the 20 S rank adventurers arrived at the main guild building in central Utopia it was in utter chaos. Usually, people would bow down in respect and make way for S rank adventurers since there’s only around 100 in the world, yet this group of 20 such amazing individuals was being completely ignored.
People were screaming about the world coming to an end, others were shouting about the transportation gates not function and being trapped. The only person who seemed to remain calm was the buff-looking man standing on the reception desk overlooking the chaos with a calm but slightly annoyed expression.
His name is Douglas Titan and he is the current guild master. Although some complained that he got the position due to pressure put on the guild from the powerful Titan family, but once people realized he was an S rank adventurer who is over level 300, they quickly stopped doubting him. Just as the man was about to clear his throat and tell everyone to shut up a powerful aura covered the room.
Everyone including the guild master and the 20 S ranks in the room all shuddered from the aura and turned to face the door. A 40-year-old looking man with perfect features stood at the doorway. The most eye-catching feature was his long wavey blue hair and blue glowing eyes.
The S ranks and all the A ranks present in the room took out their weapons ready for a life and death battle with this immortal.
“Father?” Douglas said with his powerful voice, immediately causing confusion.
“Oh hello, Douglas I didn’t know you became the Guild Master.”
The immortal was known as Ralph Titan, the previous head of the Titan family and the most recent person to ascend to become an Immortal.
When a person ascends to Eden they throw away their previous family name and are banned from interacting with the surface dwellers.
This rule was put in place to stop immortals from sending artifacts or helping their family ascend. The immortals are expected to throw away all their connections and material possessions when they join Eden. Even with these restrictions many still wish to join Eden since the promise of being fed EXP heavy food and potions to forcefully level the resident to level 500 and evolving into a high human to gain immortality was still very enticing.
“I came to deliver a request from the Grand Council, they wish for all A and S rank adventurers to join the immortals in defending Utopia city. Those who participate will be rewarded with a green card and the one with the highest participation recorded on your white cards will be rewarded with a blue card.”
“That will be all, goodbye.”
And with that said the immortal vanished at a wave of his hand, returning to the immortal islands.
