Chapter 38 - Ogre Lord

A black scaled dragonman stood looking at a white-haired boy a foot shorter than him. Actually, it wasn’t a boy at all and his age probably exceeded hundred.

They were in a forest and Raven could hear loud footsteps coming from everywhere. The boy broke the long lasting silence “Ok, I enraged the monsters in the forest so they’ll attack you. Think of this as some kind of entrance exam.” He then flew up with magic.

“Good luck!” he shouted at the top of his child voice.

Raven only sighed and looked to the right, where the first one appeared. It was the same baboon as the one he met when first coming into the pocket dimension. The baboon pushed aside the two trees, breaking them apart.

A smirk appeared on Raven’s face and he shouted while launching at the baboon with a wicked grin “Let’s see how much I improved!”

He enveloped himself with Lightning Aura mid-flight and his speed drastically increased.

“Bam!!!*

The baboon was sent flying, through more than a dozen trees. As the trees that obstructed his vision were no more, he could see that there were many more, so many more monsters.

A small hyena-like monster jumped at him with incredible speed, but he punched it in the abdomen and it went back the way it came.

A big hawk flew down to him and used a peck attack, hitting the busy Raven on the head. Currently, his hands were full of miniature monsters as the bigger ones only stood without doing anything.

He threw the ones on his right hand to the hawk and punched away all the monsters on his other hand.

*Crack!*

Sensing something amiss, Raven instantly jumped to the side. He was right.

An enormous centipede, twice as long as a bus, burst out from the ground where he stood mere seconds ago. Its pincers looked sharp, more like a blade than a body part. He could only imagine what would have become of him if that hit.

The centipede then maneuvered its body sloppily and attacked Raven yet again. He of course, was far faster than the centipede and dodged. It then dove into the ground, concealing itself again.

Looking at the monsters watching from the side, he knew it was far from over. “Geezer, just know that I’ll get even!!!” shouted Raven as he activated Soul Aura and braced himself.

I am a reincarnator. Yes, I was brought to a fantastic world called Terra by a kind goddess named Eris. It’s what many people wish and only a few people have the chance of their wish being granted.

Luckily, she chose me as one of the fortunate 10 who had the opportunity to have a second try at life, so I decided, that I’d do everything in my power to become a figure of influence and change the world. Yes, it’s exactly the opposite of my old life as a single worker. Oh, did I mention that I’ll try to get a harem by any means necessary. It doesn’t mean that I’ll force them, it just means I’ll be extremely active at wooing them.

Many would think that might not be possible, after all, I’m an ogre. Although an ogre, the goddess was kind enough to bless me with the best possible vessel for my soul.

Unlike the other ugly variants, I became a giant muscular man with dark skin, white hair and red eyes. The middle-sized horns on my head only served to enhance my handsomeness.

At first, it was tough to fend off all the hungry ogres that looked at me with ravenous eyes, but it soon became a norm and evolved into an obsession. Now I was quite fond of beating up those weaker than me. I admit it, I was a weakling in my old life, but this one, not so much.

“Boss, we have a new harvest.” said the left head of a two headed ogre to his left. It was a male. His skin was blue and one head had a fang sticking out of its mouth while the other one had horns. This ogre was called Ra’gukk. He’d be handsome by ogre standards, but if any human woman saw her, well, you get the point.

“How many?” I asked while resting my head on one of my knuckles, sitting on a big wooden chair with lots of pillows aka the throne.

“8 men, 4 women and 1 boy.” said Ra’gukk with a gleeful smile as he spelled the last part.

“Stop that foolishness. I won’t allow my subordinates to do such things!” I hissed at him, making a scary expression.

As if realizing his mistakes, the ogre kneeled on one knee “Of course, that was just a slip of the tongue.”

Although Ra’gukk was vulgar, he was smarter than most, comparable to an average human. Some could only obey orders and speak broken Terranian while some would just scratch their heads at my complicated commands. I made them do the hard labor, teaching them the hard way.

The hanging woolen door swung up as several women were thrown in. As they said, there was one boy.

One was an old woman with grey hair, the other was a pretty young girl with brown hair and the last one was a 30 something woman with red hair and killing intent. She might be a warrior.

As for the boy, he seemed to be the son of the last woman, as I saw the woman trying to calm him. He had the same color hair and was around 10.

The horrified expression on their faces turned into that of hope as they saw me, at least until they saw my horns.

“W-Who are you!” shouted the old one “Why did you attack our village?”

“You can call me The Ogre Lord. As for the reason, I think you know.” I said with a sweet smile.

“You can do whatever you like with us, but please let my brother go.” begged the woman with red hair.

“I think you know how futile it is.” I answered, sending her to the depths of despair. Although I was quite a kind person in my last life, now I somehow get pleasure from others’ pain and suffering. The problem was soon pushed away as a something that all ogres have. Anyways, I chose the path of the Dark Lord this time around, roleplaying included.

“Don’t think you can get away with this, my father is a Marquis. He’ll start an inquisition to purge you all!!!” shouted the young one. Now that I looked at her attire, she might have been a noble.

“Oh, I’m so scared. I’ll let you go this instant.” I said with a sarcastic tone as I motioned at Ra’gukk with my hand. He only smiled in return, producing a few knights with torn and dent armors from a storage ring, previously a storage bracer in human hands. “If I’m not mistaken, those warriors should be the comrades of these weaklings.”

The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

The corpses were wearing shiny armor with a red wolf insignia on the right side of their chest. The armors looked well-made and shouldn’t have dented so easily.

“Y-You killed The Red Wolves?!” shouted the girl in shock as the others similarly paled.

“Hmm? Were they supposed to be some kind of elite unit?” I asked, knowing the answer full-well. Apparently, they were the strongest unit under the control of Barta Kingdom, the one nearest to my home, Laughing Ocelot Wood.

“Well, they shouldn’t resist now, take them away.” I said with a calm, yet loud voice as a few ugly ogres came in and dragged them away, all the while smiling. “Send the boy to heavy labor, if anyone harasses him, I’ll personally give a lesson to that fool.”

The sentence sent shivers down Ra’gukk’s back and one ogre stopped for a moment before continuing his movement.

I sighed ‘Geez, is the beauty standard so low in this world? Or was I born in a bad place?’

“Ra’gukk, prepare the White Skulls, we’re going for a siege.” I said, promptly standing up, and walking towards my wardrobe.

He left the room with a gleeful grin on his face, licking his lips occasionally.

I looked at the cracked mirror and admired my razor fangs and handsome face. 5 years of plundering and still no undamaged mirror came into my hands.

Ogres grew quickly, too quickly. By the age of 5, I was already a grown-up. From then on, I conquered the tribe in a half year and easily became the chief. Then I started plundering some travelers and soon started attacking villages. Another 5 years passed in a flash, and now I was currently 10 years old, sitting on a throne.

Although the maximum age of ogres was set at 20, it was mostly due to their barbaric and foolish nature, sacrificing their lives for something insignificant or just simply walking into traps. I’m not one of them, so I’ll live a long life.

I opened the closet, revealing a few sets of pseudo-clean clothes. “Hmm, I’m going for a bloodbath, so I guess this would suffice.” I said, pulling out a red long jacket and black trousers. I then changed into those clothes from my usual yellow jacket and white pants.

I don’t wear shirts or tank-tops, wearing a jacket over my naked chest, revealing the rock-hard muscles, intimidating most opponents.

Walking out the door, I saw a large group of bulky and giant green men with big fangs protruding from their bottom lip. They would stand shoulder to shoulder with most giants, and they had pointy green ears. These were called ‘Orcs’, one of the strongest variants of Ogre and one of the most widespread.

The orcs wore brown short-like clothing and nothing else, their muscles easily making up for light armor. Their most striking feature would be the white paint on their faces, looking like a painting of a skull, the name White Skulls coming from that.

I stood looking at them from a higher wooden platform, dozens of huts surrounding my larger one, ogres and humans shambling around, the ogres being the majority.

“My brothers, today, we’ll attack the accursed Barta Kingdom, the one that nearly drove our people to extinction!!!” I shouted with all my might. “This time, we’ll bring the fight to them!”

Cheers started echoing from below, some not understanding, yet celebrating. None of my words led them to misfortune, after all. The humans shivered and the tribesmen cheered with the bunch.

Ra’gukk jumped up to the platform and taking his rightful place at my side, as my right hand man. He too, was happy, but didn’t cheer, with the grin residing on his face. Ra’gukk was a variant of Ogre called ‘Magi’, who could access the energy of magic and use spells. Fearing their might, the humans killed all but 2, Ra’gukk and his younger brother, who were hunting during the fight.

I whispered to Ra’gukk “Assemble the alliance.” A small creature with the face of a pig appeared near him and nodded, promptly disappearing as quickly as he appeared. As for the alliance, I brought the 7 Warlords of the forest together and created something akin to an alliance.

“Rise, brothers, for tomorrow we’ll feast. But we will have to slaughter those pesky humans before.” The orcs stood up, flexing their muscular body. “Prepare for war.” I said, before walking towards the forest clearing.

I passed the dozens of huts and loving gazes of many female ogres, shrugging them off. The forest clearing was a few hundred meters away from the village and that was the place we call The Summit.

A wild boar stood before me, ignoring my presence or just unaware. After turning to look at me, it stood in place for a few seconds before rushing away, breaking countless trees in the process. It would be wise to mention that the boar was 2 meters in height and 3 in length, with tusks the size of a sword.

The clearing was in plain sight as it made its way, rushing to the side after seeing the others, perhaps. I appeared there in a matter of seconds, 300 meters away, with my improved speed.

“Oh, Yakur, you’re here.” said a small man with the face of a pig, the same race as the scout from before, a Kobold. His height was around a meter at best.

“As fast as always, Vark.” I said, looking at the small man, wearing the fur of a small brown beast, holding a thick bone the size of a dagger.

“The others should be here about now.” said Vark, closing his eyes.

A big red humanoid that would dwarf the ogres, standing over 3 meters, walked out of the woods, pushing trees to the side. He had bulging muscles and had a giant wooden club at his waist, kept in place by a giant green silk belt. It was a Giant.

He had 3 pairs of small yellow eyes and a bald head. His voice was deep, and would shatter eardrums if screamed with “Well, well, if it isn’t our ‘King’.” he said with a sarcastic tone.

“Do you want me to teach you some manners again?!” I shouted with a grin, showing off my fangs.

“I’d like to pass on that.” he said, taking a seat on the ground and making himself comfortable. “We wouldn’t want to fight before her, right?”

I looked at the place he pointed and saw a petite woman, smaller than the average human, with wings on her back, flying in the air. She was followed by 2 similar people. Their faces and clothes were exactly the same, all except their hair color.

The one in the lead had scarlet hair while the 2 in the back had yellow. She was the queen of the Fairies, called Titania by her people. She didn’t have any weapons

Then another woman appeared from the woods. This time, it was a normal-sized person, for titan’s sake. She had a fiery look and brown eyes, with 2 beast ears and unkempt yellow hair. There was also a fluffy yellow tail at her back. Her body wasn’t muscular, but looked athletic. She didn’t have any weapons either.

“Hmm, so it only leaves Tigra and Shasha.” said Vark with a know-it-all tone.

“”I’m here.”” said 2 people as they appeared from 2 sides of the forest. Tigra was the king of tigers, as implied by the name, with 2 round reddish orange ears on top of her head with black patterns and hair the same color as that. As for his body, he was quite muscular, wearing a green tank top and military trousers. He also had the tail the same color as his hair. Somehow, they got their hands on, or could make military clothes. There was also a sheathed dagger, tied into his thigs, not to mention a longsword on his back.

As for Shasha, it was a lizardman with red skin and a muscular big tail. He had a giant bone at his waist, kept in place by a belt. He was wearing something like a skirt and didn’t wear anything on his upper body.

“Now that you have all assembled, let me ask you a question.” I said, as the others nodded, implying that they’d answer truthfully. “Do you hate humans?”

The kobold, lizardman, tiger and lion instantly shouted “Yes!”

The Titania said “Although I can’t call it hate, I won’t idly stand still while they chip away at our forest.”

The giant then stated his opinion “They’re tasty, so I’m in.”

“Then let me tell you, I’m launching a siege on the Kingdom of Barta. Even if you won’t come with me, even if I’m alone, the siege will take place.”

“Won’t that bring more harm than good?” said the giant. Although he acted and looked dumb, he wasn’t like that.

“Oh, how so?” asked Titania, who was oblivious to the workings of the world, contrary to her queen position.

“Barta is the weakest of the kingdoms in the Graki Empire, they might see us as a threat and truly destroy us after our win.” reasoned the giant.

“Grakk has a point, we should think this more thoroughly.” said Lioness, the lionwoman.

“I said it before, even if you don’t join me, the siege will happen.” I insisted.

“Then don’t blame me for trying to stop you.” said the giant, Grakk, readying his mace and standing up.

“Hmm, looking for another beating!” I shouted.

“My life is insignificant compared to my clan as a whole. Even if I have to die, I must stop you.” said Grakk “Won’t you join me, Titania, Lioness?”

“No, it might be better for us.” said Tigra, breaking the minute-long silence.

“What do you mean?! We’ll all die if he attacks!” shouted Grakk.

“The attacks are starting to become more frequent and the warriors are undoubtedly far stronger than the initial waves.” said Vark, he was the brains of the Warlords, even more so than Grakk.

“So that means, they are cooperating with another kingdom?” said Grakk as he sat down.

“That might be the case, if we catch them off guard, we might be able to fight them off.” said Tigra, “We might gain the advantage with walls.” he added.

“Mark my word, Yakur, if it puts my clan in danger, I’ll be the one to take your life.” said Grakk, as he calmed down.

“Of course, if you can that is.” I answered, before standing up “Prepare your troops, we’ll meet at the southern border at noon.”
