The sun had already set, and the moon had taken its rightful place back at the Tyrannos World. It was a tiring day, with all the classes and such. Raven had somehow gotten himself into a problematic situation, which then quickly turned into an invitation to the student council thing.
…
Raven had just left after listening to Lulu’s lecture, he bumped into a surprisingly short girl who he didn’t see before. It was a girl with healthy brown skin and pale blue hair. She was the clumsy-looking type, with a pile of books taller than her head.
“Do you need help?” asked Raven picking up one of the books on the ground. It was a book about Magic Pollution.
“Yeah, it’s hard to carry these books around all by myself.” she said as she neatly placed them into two piles, one for herself, the other for Raven. Of course, the taller one was for Raven.
The girl motioned Raven to follow him to the highest floor, and curious, he asked “What are these for?”
“There is the room for prefects at the highest floor, and they can study there without interruption.” she said, puffing up her chest.
“So, you’re one of them.” asked Raven, nocking his head.
“Of course I am, in fact, there are only 7 of us.” said the girl with an exasperated tone.
“Wow, that means you’re a big deal.”
“Not really, I don’t really like being in the spotlight.”
The rest of the walk continued without a single exchange of words, with the girl at the lead. There was a luxurious door, standing out from the rest. It had a gold nameplate and there was an engraving of a rose on it, the petals made of ruby.
The girl unhesitatingly opened it, revealing 2 people inside. One was Laura, and the other was, surprisingly, Robert.
“Wow, just wow.” said Raven, directing his gaze at Robert.
“Did I leave you with such a pitiful expression of myself?” asked Robert, sighing.
“So, is this one of your juniors?” asked Laura, and at that moment, Raven realized that he was in love.
“Yeah, the master of games.” said Robert, throwing an amused look at Laura.
“It seems you’re forgetting someone.” said the girl with a wronged expression.
“Oh, thanks for the books, Phi.” said Laura as she grabbed the books from her hands and placed it on the table, soon repeating the same with Raven.
She then patted the soft-looking coach and looked at Raven. Taking up the offer, he took a seat opposite to her. Robert stood up and walked towards the table with the same amused expression he had before.
Laura then straightened her posture and cleared her throat, and said “I challenge you to a game of Poker.”
“Sure.” said Raven, taking up the offer.
“Explain the rules, he is from a normal family.” said Robert.
“Oh, that makes sense. You take 13 cards from the deck … and you win if you don’t have any cards in hand.” She explained the rules of 13 card poker, which was apparently Raven’s favorite pastime in his last life.
One is dealt 13 cards, and the one with the 3 of diamonds starts with a card or combo of his choice. It can be a pair, straight, flush, their royal counterparts or even poker. Then if the next player doesn’t have one exceeding the opponent’s, they pass their turn. It then continues on this way until one uses up his entire hand, which makes that person the winner.

One thing to take note of was that the 2s were the strongest, with aces below them. One may only use the same number of cards to defeat the opponent’s move, which has an exception in case of a poker. In case the players use the same combo, then the one with the superior number lead will win, or if they are equal, the one with the superior color will. (Spade>Heart>Club>Diamond)
“Poker is meaningless without a bet, so how about it.” said Laura with a wicked smile.
“Sure, but can we bet something small, I don’t really want to lose much on my first game.” said Raven, with a hidden smile.
“Hmm… How about 10 gold?” asked the opponent, sure that she would win.
“Hey, you’re bullying him.” said Robert, likely protecting his junior.
“I don’t mind, senior.” said Raven, showing a humble demeanor.
“Well then, here goes.” said Phi, who was acting as the dealer. A smile appeared on Laura’s face, which was quite alluring as she threw a flush of diamonds, with the 3 included and led by 9.
Raven then replied with a flush of clubs, led by 9. Then Laura returned it with a poker of 5.
“Pass.” said Raven. Then Laura proceeded by using a pair of 4, countered by a pair of 10.
“I pass.” said Laura, confident of her victory with a 2 of spades and a king of diamonds in her hand.
But unexpectedly, Raven continued with a pair again. Without a move left, Laura passed. This then continued until Raven had one card in his hand, which was a 3 of spades, one of the weakest cards in the game.
The cards in Laura’s hands fell as she held her head, seemingly not believing in her loss.
…
It all leads to the situation at hand now, Raven sat in the living room, still playing with Laura, who forcibly dragged him into the student council on a whim.
Robert asked with a wondering expression “Are you fine staying off from your campus?”
“I’m a Ruler, the instructor can’t refrain me.” said Laura, as she fixed the positions of the chess pieces for the umpteenth time. After realizing that she won’t ever be able to defeat her opponent in poker, she decided to use chess.
This one didn’t rely on luck, but on intelligence. Seems that she couldn’t defeat him in this one either, but she kept on trying. If she knew that he was only 4, then Laura would have probably committed suicide, but if she knew that he was from a better developed world, then she would probably give up.
Her losses were countless, and lost money in the 4 digits, all in gold. As for Raven, he started feeling bad for Laura, considering he has feelings for her, so he decided to give back the money, and she played with it until it was in the 3 digits again.
“Ok, I challenge you to a Battle of History.” a smirk appeared on her face, with Robert trying to stop her by pulling her hand, she shouted “I don’t care about his feelings, I’m not a Morningstar if I can’t defeat him at this game.” oblivious to the fact that Robert was actually on her side.
The result was, a flawless win, without being hit at all. “Hmph… it was a fluke.” which soon turned into “It’s not fair, I’m supposed to be the queen of games.” and she started throwing a tantrum. The surrounding then started freezing and Robert had a scared face.
Picking up his signal, Jet and Raven quickly fled, leaving Robert to deal with her. They then could hear a masculine shriek from the castle, and if they hadn’t used [Lightning Movement], theirs would probably come out at the same time.
The animals at the edge of the forest started fleeing, as Raven quickly launched up, with Jet in his hands. [Earth Platform] said Jet as a mass of earth formed a stand in air. “Let me go.” he said as Raven complied, turning their eyes to the fight-like thing below them.
“Out of my way, I’ll murder that kid.” shouted Laura, launching at Robert. An icy blue light covered her.
“Calm down, you’re the queen of games, but he’s just a passing god, so please spare him.” asked Robert, putting his hands before himself.
[Ice World] she said as the world was covered in a layer of white frost. Nor the trees or the beasts were spared from her wrath.
Robert jumped up, riding his Lightning Lion, trying not to let her know of his juniors’ positions.
[Lance] said Laura as countless lances appeared out of the ground, aiming at Robert’s life. It was then that the trio realized that [Ice World] was a field magic, a type that grants the caster absolute control over the surroundings.
[Freeze], the air started turning into mist, which was the water molecules freezing. Soon, there was a thick fog below Jet and Raven. A red light shot upwards, dissipating the fog. It was [Fire Beam] of Robert, and he shot it up in hope of the impact freeing him from the fog. It achieved its purpose.
[Hammer], an ice hammer appeared above Robert’s head, launching him downwards, met with [Ice Lances]. The corpse of a bleeding Robert lied on the ground, with countless holes. “You’re next.” said Laura as she sent a cold glare towards the flying duo.
Crash!!!
A loud sound came as Laura was sent crashing into the castle by Robert’s hit. He then used [Fire Beam] and [Lightning Bolt], throwing it at his opponent.
[Shield] said Laura as a shield of frost appeared, but was easily broken by Robert’s attack. Then Raven shot downwards to protect Laura. Although illogical, Robert wasn’t himself now. He wouldn’t attack someone when she was down, even his worst enemy. That was the type of person he was.
Raven then princess carried her from the ground, and sure enough, Robert was going berserk. He proceeded by destroying the world below.
“Let go of me!” shouted Laura, as Raven did just what he wanted. She was currently in a free fall to the ground, 150m in the air. “Help me!” she then shouted again.
Then Raven grabbed the falling Laura, who was a little flustered, which was cute in a sense.
