“Do you want to become my apprentice?” asked Stein, looking at Raven.
“Why would I have the honor of becoming your disciple?” said Raven as he looked back at him.
“Because we have the same talent.” he said, as his nails turned into claws. He then showed it off to him. He struggled to not include ‘We’re both crazy.’
“But that still doesn’t make sense.” said Raven with a bored expression.
“What doesn’t?” asked Stein, a little surprised.
“I can’t imagine someone like you being a good teacher.” Hearing his statement, Litmus and Lulu almost choked on their saliva.
“Oh, I look a little too lazy.” said Stein as his lazy looking eyes turned serious. But that wasn’t all, his entire body changed.
Now he resembled a girl, which had white hair, serious orange eyes and a mocking expression on his face. There was a black line running through his left eye, giving off a feeling one would get from a joker.
“Do I look the part now?” asked Stein, with an annoyed voice. He had to transform to his true form to show off his ‘seriousness’.
“Nope, you look even worse.” Stein almost coughed blood when he heard it “But you’re pretty good at it, so why not.”
Lulu then shouted from the audience “You betrayed me!!!”
“You know you are my disciple, right?” said Stein as he looked at Lulu with a strange glare.
“But I’m not your apprentice.” she frowned.
There was a small difference between a disciple and apprentice.
A disciple would be taught by a master and learn from him/her.
An apprentice would inherit everything that his/her master owned.
Currently, Lulu was in such a relationship with Raven, but Stein wanted to intrude on it.
“If he is our shared apprentice, then he’ll become really strong, you know? Why would you reject?” asked Stein with a mocking voice.
“Because I want him to carry on with my studies, instead of indulging in battles like you.” she said angrily.
“What? I only fought about a trillion or so times, what makes you think I’m a battle maniac.” shouted Stein with a wronged expression.
The students could only stare at him in disbelief.
Lulu was seen facepalming.
“Don’t worry, Lulu, I don’t mind.” said Raven, trying to comfort her.
“I mind!!!” she shouted.
“Let’s settle this with a duel.” said Stein with a serious tone.
“I’m fine with that, for Raven!” she shouted while walking towards the stage.
“For Raven!!!” shouted Stein as he charged off. It awfully resembled a battle cry.
Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.
Then Litmus blocked their advances “You idiots, can’t you two be a little adult?”
“But it’s a life or death decision we’re talking about.” frowned Stein.
“Like I care, do that after the tournament!” shouted Litmus, hitting him on the head. He then hit Lulu too.
“I didn’t do anything.” she complained.
“You were the one who made it this bad.” said Litmus with a headache.
“That’s right, you’re in the wrong.” said Stein, hiding behind Litmus.
*Bam!!!*
“What was that for?!” shouted Stein with a tear in his right eye.
“You tried to pick a fight again.” he said as if scolding his younger siblings.
“Uwaah, Litmus is bullying me. Peter, please help me!” shouted Stein as he ran up to the blonde pony-tailed instructor and hid behind him.
Peter then said with a calm voice “You shouldn’t bully them because they are small.” He then patted Stein’s head.
“That’s not the point, you pedophile!!!” shouted Litmus at the top of his lungs.
In the background, everyone subconsciously sighed.
Litmus was the one who continued it “The tournament continues. The next match is Team Senior against Team Berserking Girl. Would you like to concede?” he asked with a polite suggesting tone.
“I would like to do just that.” answered the now not-armored senior.
“Then without further ado, let’s start the third round. The first match will be, Mary Ravines against Qu Xin.”
The ninja girl walked towards the stage and looked at the boy with a braided blue hair.
“Match Start!”
Mary instantly disappeared as the match started, Xin didn’t seem to mind as he walked towards the center of the stage and punched the air.
“Guah!” coughed Mary as she was hit in the abdomen. “How?!”
A colorless aura started emitting from the boy and he thrust his palm forward, aiming towards the girl.
[Eight Desolate Palm]
A wave of transparent shockwave missed the girl by a hair’s width. “I suggest you surrender.” said the boy with a smile.
“No way, I came this far. There’s no way I’m backing out.” shouted Mary as she threw a few shuriken at him.
Xin easily dodged them and appeared near the girl.
*Slash!*
A knife cut the boy’s abdomen, but it didn’t penetrate more than the clothes.
“I suggested you to surrender, [Sun Palm].”
An enormous yellow palm appeared in the air and rained down on Mary.
She soon lost consciousness, but there were no burns on her body as one would expect.
“Winner, Qu Xin.” shouted Stein.
“He’s a qi cultivator.” said Robert, while patting Raven and Jet’s back
“That was incredibly convenient.” said Jet with a surprised expression.
But Raven was in deep thought. He wanted to make sense of it by using his wuxia novel knowledge.
There is qi, and there are those who use it. Their body strengthens and have different types and animals based on their personality. But it can be integrated into magic, by using either Tulga’s method or Robert’s. Then there is using both of them separately like Qu Xin did.
“The next match is Raven Cangard vs Irina Svetlana.” said Stein with a bored tone.
A girl with blonde hair, slightly pointy ears and a staff walked up to the stage. She was beautiful, but not much. This was Raven’s first meeting with a High Elf.
“Ba-atle Sta-art.” said Stein, almost asleep.
The girl instantly started chanting. Interested, Raven waited for her to finish.
“Idiot, interrupt her!” shouted Lily from the audience.
“Be quie-et.” said Stein.
“…ans reug sofj lgur dragsu lofari.” finished the elven girl as a gigantic fire ball appeared over the staff, almost 50 meters in radius.
“Interesting, I’ll have you show me more of that.” said Raven as he threw a small ball of lightning at it.
This was [Electric Bomb], a skill that does exactly what it sounds like.
The two balls clashed.
*Boom!*
The fire ball changed trajectory to upwards and flew through the roof.
Irina had a look of horror on her face as she hurriedly started chanting again.
“Don’t worry, I won’t interrupt you.” said Raven with an innocent smile.
Another long chanting later, a small blue orb appeared in her hand, she threw it at Raven.
Seeing that something was wrong, he moved to the side.
*Boom!!!*
The orb exploded behind him, sending him towards the chanting Irina. A medium sized fireball crashed into him.
Raven fell to the ground. Irina had a triumphant smile on her face. But it turned to horror as Raven stood up unfazed.
“I’ve decided. I’m learning spells.” he then looked at her with a smile “Could you surrender? I don’t enjoy fighting women.”
“Y-Yes.” she said.
“Battle Over!!!” announced Stein with his tired voice.
His energy returned to him, as he stood up. “Ladies and gentlemen, the next fight is: The Black Spear Jet vs The Wolf Warrior Emily.”
“”What the hell is with those names!!!” they shouted at the same time.
Then Litmus, who was standing near Lulu mumbled “She’s an Ulfhednar?”
