It’s dark… and cold. I wonder where I am? Looking around to see more dark, endless darkness. “Where the hell am I? Hello! Why am I talking to myself? Maybe I’m losing my mind…? Sigh, probably shouldn’t have pissed off a god? Nah. If I wait, someone will show up. Or I’ll just die. Oh, wait… I did. You sad, poor soul,” I laugh, “
“You’re just so stupid! No one’s coming!! No one will! Remember last time… last time?” I scratch my neck. “What was I talking about? Eh, probably not important.” As I continue scratching my neck. Wait, I have a neck? Weird… Is Mr. Skelyton nearby? Looking around for the skeleton dude, but he wasn’t there. Then something bright caught my eye. “Is that you? Mr. Skelyton? Is that you?” I walked closer to the light, and the light shined brighter. “Nope, that’s definitely not him. Well, looks like I’m going forward or backward.”
The light shined bright and brighter until I was right in front of it. “Don’t go towards the light! Hehe. All I have to do is go through it. Let’s go.” I said but didn’t move. “Shit, I’m going to… Goddammit. Just go through this hole of bright glory! I command thee! Thou? Thy? Fuck it, close your eyes and walk forwards. Into the hole we go, to Glory’s house, we flow,” Closing my eyes, I entered the bathroom wall hole.
It’s bright. Slowly, my eyes open to see the sky above me. It’s blue… Never thought I’d miss something so bland. I close my eyes and let the wind blow around me. The soft chilling breeze, the warm sun, and the soft grass. What a lovely combination to wake up to. Is that a bird flying by? It seems like one. I squint my eyes to see if I can get a better look. The bird had four arms with several pearly white claws, completely covered in black feathers. Is that a Chernobyl raven? Might as well enjoy the moment. Who knows when I’ll have time for it again.
The clouds slowly move as time passes on. Something’s wrong. My body feels stiff. As I feel around my stomach, it’s wet. It covered my entire stomach and chest in a liquid. I rub my fingers around an open area. Feels like a cut… It’s probably fine… but it hurts. What is this sticky stuff on my… hands. My-my- Holy shit, there’s blood on my hands! The dripping from my hand like water droplets from a leaf. Alright! Stay calm! It’s fine. I’m going to be fine!! My eyes blur, a sudden surge of pain grows from the left side of my head. Shit shit shit!! Stay calm! One, two, three- Mother of- GAH! I tried getting up but lost my breath. My body started shaking, a sickness grew in my stomach like food poisoning. I couldn’t, can’t, my chest hurts. I need to breathe. Can’t breathe! I lie there, gasping for air as the sickness crawls up my stomach. My back arches, the sickness flies out. It splashes back on me, the red sickness. I can’t- BLOOD! BREATHE!! BLOCK! HEAD- DIE! I can’t think- going to die here, out in the woods all alone- don’t want to be alone. I- G-give… I stop moving. There’s no point in trying to fight death. My body goes limp and waits for the inevitable.
One, three, five. Ok. If I’m going to die, I’m going to at least calm down. I can’t believe I’m going to die drowning in my blood. It’s kinda funny. The sun is out, the sky’s clear, the place is full of lush green grass and trees. I couldn’t think of a more beautiful place. Too bad my corpse is going to ruin it. It taunts me like the insidious monster it is. I feel cold. I feel really cold.
The day gets colder… well; I do. My vision gets blurry until the trees look nothing more than fuzzy-tall bushes. When a tree falls in the forest, does it make a sound? Is there any proof that it once existed? Does anyone pity it? No. No one does. They don’t even care. Well… That was short-lived… I’m not quite... dying? The fountain of red coming from my body slowly stops.

What was I doing before that caused this to happen? I could still feel the blood splashing along my throat, but I wasn’t breathing. Weird, maybe if I just lie here, I’ll be ok. I won’t be dying by drowning. But bleeding out. God, at least with the drowning, it would be faster. Would it? Either way, I’m dying. I can’t leave, or I die faster, and I’ll die slower waiting here. Just as soon as hope arrived, it fled in an instant.
The sun’s rays grow colder as the darkness spreads. The gentle breezes send shivers down my spine. There is darkness in the beginning and the end. The lush trees warped into sinister faces with sharp pointy teeth and narrow eyes that sparkled in the blackness. I’m now alone and with scary monsters. I just wanna go home.
My eyes start to close one last time as a shadow passes by. Not yet, struggling to keep my eyes awake. I w-will... I’m able to move my gaze over to the shadow behind me. Off in the distance stood a man as tall as the lowest tree branch.
He had dark black hair that stood up in spikes with a few bangs. One bang on each side looked like rabbit ears that stood vertically up. The center of his forehead had a single strand of hair that curled at the tip. Shadows of his triangular eyebrows covered his eyes. Muscles covered every part of his body. He looked like a character in that one show, where Aztec stripper gods hunt for a magic stone to become the ultimate being. I’m not a hundred percent sure, but I’m pretty sure the ultimate being was a furry. Maybe there was a Nazi cyborg or vampire there as well.
The black-haired man wore what looked like adventure clothing. A red cape, a blue short-sleeve shirt with a small white circle inside a red circle in the center. He wore brown pants with purple stripes and blue shoes. He didn’t have any weapons or a taste in fashion.
The man looked over at me and heard him talking to himself. “Am I too late?” The man said, looking away. Trying to call out, but nothing escapes my mouth but silence. Is he going to leave me here if I do nothing? I can’t let that happen. I’m not dying here. Shifting to my left arm above my head to signify I’m not dead. A sickness slowly grows in my stomach. Right after feeling this, a violent jolt slaps my hand towards him as my body arches up and fires away.
My noises catch his attention. He turns around to see me blood-soaked and struggling to live. “By The Suns of Ten Thousand Blood Irons.” The man quickly and swiftly darts to my side. Looking over to my left, he stood on his knees.
He’s much bigger up close, or I’m just small. I’m really thankful he’s helping me, but he’s also scary. He lifts my head up with his hand that is the size of my head. I try grabbing towards him, trying to speak. But he hushes me and smiles, “Save your strength, pumpkin, daddy’s here.” He lifts me up closer to himself and starts slowly walking.
That’s so corny, grainy, cheesy? No… There’s no need to be mean, but it’s something stupid… But… There was nothing I could say, wanted to say. All I could do was smile. Something about him gave me a sense of familiarity.
On an impulse, my hand reaches for one of his hair tuffs like I’ve done this a thousand times. I tug on his rabbit ears and smile at him. He looks down and smiles back. My arms shake, followed by my legs. My body tenses up, blood pours from my mouth, and everything goes red.
“Just hang in ther- we- almos-” blood fills my ear, consuming me in silence. When will the dream end?
