Chapter 5: Journey to the Center of the Earth

It was a day unlike any other for Regulus Eda Grigori Azali.

For the first time in his life, water fell from the sky.

He was always struggling to find water. His mouth was always dry. The only thing that could consistently wet his mouth was the liquid of crushed tiny beings and the red liquid the death giants sometimes stored in them.

But today was special. Water was falling from the sky. Unlike the puddle of water he could find on the ground, these droplets of water were clean and clear.

He gladly opened his mouth and drank the falling water.

For the first time in his life, he satiated his thirst.

The drops of water that hits his body made him felt fresh

Regulus Eda Grigori Azali liked the falling water. He hoped that it would never stop.

So that he will never be thirsty again.

So that his body always felt fresh.

Be careful what you wish for.

The falling water kept falling.

And they fell harder…Faster…Louder.

His ears hurt…

His body hurt…

His body trembles…

the water dropped slower, lesser, and softer.

It was under the giant brown thing with greens hanging on them.

So he crawled there. With all his might. With desperation he never felt before.

Suddenly everything went blinding white.

BLAR

A loud noise.

louder than the noise of the first giant that he met, able to make.

The blinding white made a shockwave that hit and threw Regulus Eda Grigori Azali.

He was bounced around on the ground.

When he came to his senses, The giant brown thing was now engulfed in red.

Red that kept flickering and dancing.

Red that melted his cold, yet he did not dare to approached

Red that he found curious.

He could only mesmerize the red for a short time before he was dragged by the water.

He tried to fight back against the water. He anchored his hand on the ground. His fingers dug into the muddy ground.

But to no avail…

He was swept by the water.

As he was swept, he heard a noise he never heard before.

Noise of swirling water.

He was dragged into the source of the noise.

As he got closer. He was spun around by the water.

And he was flushed inside the ground

Where it was dark and he could not see. Where he was surrounded by raging water.

His body kept spinning and thrashed around. Banged, scratched, pierced by the crude rough darkness.

It was constant pain that made it hard to breathe. It was not made easier to breathe with all the water entering every hole in his body.

PLUNG

He was ejected into the air.

His entire body was in pain, but now he could breathe again.

Not for long.

CRASH

His body hits the hard darkness.

BRAK

His body drops into the ground.

And it all stopped.

His body was no longer moved by the water. It was no longer being hit by the darkness.

It was just pains that lingered in his body.

He could not see nor move… only breathe and hear.

Regulus Eda Grigori Azali had faced death many times before. Never before that death felt so close, so clear.

He was ignorant.

He heard a menacing sound.

It was almost as loud as the blinding white that caused the dancing red.

It was the sound of earth being destroyed, the sound of the ground being crushed.

It echoed and vibrated his surroundings and inside his body.

He felt thousands of small rocks and dirt hitting his body.

There was so much pain that he could no longer feel pain.

The sound stopped.

A living creature was currently in front of him.

He could hear the breathing of the creature. A smell of an unknown creature.

He did not know the shape of the creature, but he knew it had a pair of 3 jet black giant claws.

Even though he was a baby who had no knowledge of the world.

Regulus Eda Grigori Azali knew that those claws were the source of the noise.

Those jet black claws that glisten in the dark, smell like death.

The creature raised its claws. As it did that, the earth around it was sliced.

Regulus Eda Grigori Azali was afraid, yet he couldn't cry. Instead, for the first time in his life, he pissed himself.

It was the first time he had enough liquid in his body to excrete.

He could smell the fear of death from his own piss.

As he laid on the pool of his own piss… he thought…he was gonna be eaten.

But he was not.

The creature lowered its claws. It smelled the fear of Regulus Eda Grigori Azali's piss. It pissed itself in kind.

Regulus Eda Grigori Azali smelled the creature's piss.

The smell compelled his limp body to move.

With his remaining strength, he dragged his body towards the unknown creature's pool of piss.

When he reached the pool, he drank them.

His body felt lighter, his pain subsided, his injury recovering slowly.

His thirst satisfied, his hunger fulfilled.

As he finished the last drop of piss, the creature let out a sound.

"Kiiiii kiki ~"

It sounded… happy.

The creature moved, inside the deeper darkness he just created. Leaving trails of piss along the way.

Regulus Eda Grigori Azali followed the creature, drinking the trail it left behind.

His eyes adapted to the dark, but it still unable to see clearly.

He followed the creature based on the sound it made as it moved.

He followed it by the unique smell it exuded.

His body was weak and he was left behind by the creature.

Yet he never stopped moving. His body, fueled by the piss.

He finally caught up with the creature.

It dropped something in front of him. He smelled meat.

He ate those meat and once he finished those, the creature made a happy squeak.

"Kiiii~"

Then it moved again.

Regulus Eda Grigori Azali kept following it.

As he kept following it…It stopped. Fed him. Moved again. Dug again. Stopped again. Fed Him. And moved and dug again continuously.

For the first time in his life, he felt safe to follow a larger living being.

For the first time in his life, he was cared for.

It was the first time in his life that Regulus Eda Grigori Azali ever met a Molrret.
