CHAPTER 5
BURST
In his state of confusion, Levi sensed the approaching group of six homeless beggars. In such a defenseless state others might dismay due but apart from the burning urge growing every second Levi felt no fear. Instead the feeling became intense as these people approached him. Raising his head, he was able to see the people more vividly.
“What might we have here? graceful sir do you need our help” one of the beggars said as he grinned nastily. Struggling to control this foreign urge, he didn’t even have the energy to entertain these people who had malicious intents from the looks on their faces not bothering to even hide them.
“Take this and leave me alone. I know that this is what you’re after.” Levi audibly whispered after retrieving a wallet from his pocket and throwing it towards the beggars. “I have nothing more on me so please take it and leave” saying such a simple sentence became an arduous task for Levi.
Normally these beggars would take the wallet and silently retreat but something was off about these group of six. They ignored the wallet and approached Levi with a cruel yet bloodthirsty look on their face. If you would notice their clothes seemed to be stained with dried blood. Their twisted expressions alarmed Levi making him realize that he had just encountered a bunch of psychopaths.
The beggar who spoke Signaled his fellow beggars to block the entrance of the alley thus sealing any route of escape.
“Who said we need your money when we can feast to our heart content”. Hearing the beggar say this, without hesitation Levi mustered a little bit of strength dashing away into the alley because he knew things had gone south.

“How did I offend lady luck. Why today among all days must I encounter organ traffickers and what’s up with them dressing as beggars. This day couldn’t get any worse”. Dashing into the alley Levi silently cursed, trying to survive while suppressing this strange raging urge. Noticing that none of the beggars where chasing after him Levi had a bad feeling. Coming to an abrupt halt confirmed his intuition as he came to a dead end. Trapped with no means of escape, he turned around to face his pursuers.
“There is no where to run to so just be a good prey and surrender” a hysterical high pitched voice reverted through the alley sounding evil and cruel. Trying to remain calm in such a strange situation might seem impossible but something in Levi was keeping him composed. The beggars walked out of the shadows laughing crazily whiles advancing towards their prey. A scene that would be forever embedded into Levi’s memory was unfolding with the approach of his pursuers.
“What are you” Levi asked due to the unexplainable scene he was currently witnessing. Backs hunched, forelimbs swelling and deforming and the gory tearing of flesh like a snake shedding its skin occurred. And with a popping sound the group of beggars no more had any features that can be associated with humans. Appearing before him, 5feet yet bulky green skinned monsters with tribal markings on every inch of their skins. Their deadly claws glistened in the dark a testament of its sharpness. A heavy stench of waste engulfed the entire alley.
These monsters after their transformation crazily sprinted with astonishing speed, some even performing powerful leaps just to get to Levi. Instinctively Levi rolled to the side dodging a sharp claw by hairs breath. Before he could even catch his breath a green thick foot slammed into his chest hurdling him into the walls of the alley. Limply supporting himself, Levi leaned on the walls as he sat down. Experiencing hellish pain feeling the rapture of several internal organs leading to him spewing a mouth full of blood as his chest caved in. Levi never felt so close to the gates of death like he did now.
Slowly approaching their prey with a look of contempt and savagery, the green skinned monsters were like starved dogs ready to tear their prey apart.
“Am I going to die like this. In an alley of all places and I haven’t even lived my life to the fullest. What bad luck. Am I going to be devoured by this monsters. No I must survive. I must Survive.”
As such thoughts run through his head in his last moment the urge to cause havoc and devour that had been raging inside him came alive with a sudden burst.
