CHAPTER 4
DESIRE
After having such an intense yet realistic nightmare Levi decided to have a cold shower. Fortunately he doesn’t have to go to work on weekends. Normally his work didn’t demand a lot but it was time consuming, work policy states that workers had to report on time and strangely close an hour late compared to other companies. But there is nothing to complain about since they pay good, salary wise the company takes care of their workers well. So on weekends going to work was optional and most people like Levi choose to stay home.
Coming out of the bathroom after having his cold shower, Levi glanced around his room prompting him to notice the scattered broken pieces of urn. With a surprised look on his face he approached the scattered pieces of urn. Bending down he hand picked the pieces of urn gathering all of it in less than a minute. Not knowing how the urn broke, he helplessly sighed disposing the pieces of urn.
Since it was his day off from work, Levi decided to visit the park after having his breakfast with the purpose of appreciating natures beauty. On weekends most people choose to spend their day at the park. Kids running around having fun like no ones business, couples holding hands displaying their affection, people walking their pets. All these give the park a vibrant atmosphere filled with infectious laughter and peace.
“Guess visiting the park was a good idea after all. The environment has a kind of charm able to relax ones nerve. I like it and on the plus side I get to see people do all sorts of things. Interesting” Levi mumbled under his breath as he relaxed on a wooden bench built under an oak tree smirking.
“Watch out” a feminine voice exclaimed in Levis direction as a silhouette out of no where pounced on Levi disrupting his moment of tranquility. Due to the sudden attack Levi lost his balance falling over the bench along with the silhouette. WOOF sounded from the attacker who surprisingly was a cute little mutt stood on Levi’s chest declaring the victory of his hunt. Dumbfounded Levi just relised his current predicament.

She shoot a glare at her pet causing it to whimper. It made a quick decisive retreat hiding behind Levi to prevent the impending doom of her owner. “what an interesting little fella” Levi gently picked the mutt up and stroked its fur. “He is usually not like this, don’t know what has gotten into him today” the young beauty said shooting glaring glances at her mutt.
After such a brief exchange, the young lady decided to join Levi. Having quick chats Levi got to know that this young lady was called Ivy and she just relocated to the community. Series of conversations ensued leading to the exchange of contact infos. The park gradually became less crowded as time flew by in a flash. Everything seemed to be going well so far until he crossed paths with a group of beggars who started grinning after seeing him strolling pass their direction. The group was made of six beggars who had creepy smiles.
Strangely Levi noticed all this from the corners of his eyes but he wasn’t scared instead he had a certain desire. The desire to devour and wreck havoc thus prompting him to remember the nightmare he experienced. Fear of the unknown was Levi’s current mood, the desire grew stronger and the beggars approached him. Trying his possible best to control this surging desire, Levi turned right into an alley beside the street. Pale faced, he leaned weakly against the alley walls trying to catch his breath and to suppress the urge.
Footsteps reverted signaling the gradual approach of uninvited guest. Six homeless beggars who looked up to no good walked towards Levi with wicked grins that looked evil and frightening.
