Choose your next (EVOLUTION)
Cave Dweller (E)
A troublesome mob, often found in large swarms in deep caves. A life spent in darkness has rendered these plights on mankind blind. Can spit acid from up to ten feet away, about two feet in sizes. Evolves into the far deadlier Death Crawler.
Moss Pupa (F)
The pupa of a Moss Eating Larva. If allowed to form fully, it will hatch into a Cave Flower Suckling, whose wings can be harvested into pain-soothing powder. The Moss Pupa can be ground into a powder as well, but the effect of this powder is much weaker.
Lightworm (F-)
A small, light-emitting worm.
Larvae Eating Larva (F+)
You have fulfilled special requirements
An innocuous worm which feeds upon its fellow brethren. Possesses a powerful bite attack that can render most members of the (LARVA) species immobile or dead. Outside of this specialization, it falls short, as its neurotoxin only works on worms.
As we all knew, our guy chose Lightworm, (F-) and gained a bunch of related skills which I won't list since it's more than zero. But what if he chose Cave Dweller? Or LEL? Or the pupa? Well, stay here for a second and you'll see!
Cave Dweller
In this evolution, he would lose all the same skills as he did for the Lightworm, except for the skill (Rallying Cry), which he would keep.
You have gained the following skills due to (EVOLUTION):
Acid Spit, Automatic Health Regeneration, Spawn Lesser Grub, Leech
Acid Spit being, as it sounds, an attack which spits out an acid. Renght and power increases with level.
Spawn Lesser Grub would have allowed him to spawn a small version of himself, which can use all the same skills as him but at a lesser level.
Leech would allow him to leech off of dying enemies and feed upon their liquids.
Due to completing special requirements, you have gained the following skill:
Novice Shadow Magic
Yup, if our man gave up his sight, so would he have given up the light, thus being given the powers of d a rk n e s s (spooky music)
The spells he would be given by this would be "Black-Out", which blinds an opponent (oooo look at that parallel magics in the dark and light magics oooooo) and "Needles", a curse-type spell that inflicts pain upon an enemy but no actual damage. Increase in level allows for greater and more centralized pain. Keep in mind, people can die from pain, so a high-level Needles spell can indeed be deadly.
This system is absolute bullshit who designed this thing a gOOsE-,,??
Appearance-wise, the Cave Dweller is like a large, white maggot or grub, thick and white with small, black little limbs. It is slow, and lacking eyes, its most distinctive feature, head-wise, are the sizable mandibles surrounding a sharp-toothed mouth opening.
Choose your next (EVOLUTION)
Death Crawler (D+)
A deadly creature which finds it's home in the deepest of caves, where it acts as a white knight of the weaker evolution "Cave Dweller". Combined with its troublesome ability to spawn Cave Dwellers, it can easily create a swarm of oversized maggots if given the time to do so. This, along with its intimidating size and ferocious temper makes these a danger to be wary of in caves.
Lady of the Depths (C)
A rarely seen creature, this is often believed in folklore to be a lady who inhabits the depths of caverns, a white witch who makes familiars of cave-dwelling dragons and hoards gold and treasures with them. However, this is not the case. In reality, the humanoid visage many adventurers see at the very bottom of the deepest, darkest caves are but the lure of a long and dangerous serpent, capable of haunting black magic and curses that spell the doom of any unprepared warrior.

:,(( Cave Dweller would indeed only have gotten two evolutions paths, one cuz cave dweller and one cuz Shadow Magic. He might have more if I actually wrote this, since then he'd have experiences to base it all on. Anyhoo, where these two go, we do not know. Probably something cool.
Moss Pupa
Well, not much to say, really. Why not, you probably don't ask? Well, because our guy simply wouldn't be awake to experience this one. Choosing this path would have made him lose all skills, every single one, and then gain them back once he evolved at the end of his (INCUBATION).
Really, pupa is more of a passing-over period from Larva to Suckling.
So, we'll simply pretend Moss Pupa is Cave Flower Suckling, for the sake of FUN.
Also, btw, Cave Flower Suckling is Rank E.
You have gained the following skills due to (EVOLUTION):
Flower Sensing, Advanced Flight, Paralyzing Shot, Paralyzing Scale Powder
And... that's it. If he chose this route, these are all the skills he would have had. No magic, no nothing like that. Flower sensing lets him sense where the flowers are, paralyzing scale power allows him to release a sort of powder from his wings which can paralyze creatures to an extremely weak extent, and paralyzing shot is slightly stronger but only effective towards single targets and requires physical contant.
Not a good evolution. Just straight up not good. For a normal Moss Larva, this would have been the only evolution possible. Had our guy only ever eaten moss (which the system didn't allow for), this would have been his only option.
But, for the sake of it, here is his evolution. Yes, singular.

Quickbird (D)
A rare mutation in the Cave Flower Suckling allows for this unorthodox evolution. Namely, a small, hummingbird-like avian possessing weak (but usable) lightning magic, which is a hybrid of the fire and light schools of magic. This magic allows the Quickbird to travel at extremely fast speeds, like that of a lightning bolt. However, in combat, it is quite lacklustre, as its power lies more in escape.
Indeed, sadly, there is only one. Knowing our man, I'm sure he could have evolved into it somehow, but... Honestly? Even so, this just isn't anything cool. We all agree that this is the bad evolution, right? Right.
Larvae Eating Larva
Ah, an odd one. Unlike the other ones, in this case, he'll be able to keep all his pheromone ones, but it is transformed into the insidious pied-piper purpose of luring prey.
You have gained the following skills due to (EVOLUTION):
Bane of Larvae, Parasite, Leech, Glutton, Size-Shift
Once again, no magic. But, with skills like these, he'd do fine without it.
Bane of Larvae is, unlike the sound of it, a bite attack. Well, for the most part. In fact, it transforms the body of the host into a bunch of deadly poison. If our man had gotten this skill, every single part of his person would have been poisonous. His saliva, his blood, his sweat, his tears... all of it. This is usually most effective as a bite-attack, but it works just as well to get eaten by a larger larva.
Parasite grants not only the ability to resist stomach acid (for a time), but also a bunch of smaller, lesser skills that allow the parasite to burrow into the host creature to consume them from the inside. Usually from the inside of the stomach lining. Furthermore, the skill allows this to be done without the knowledge of the host.
Leech is the same as for Cave Dweller and ties into Parasite.
Glutton allows the host to eat as much as needed, the excess food being converted into health or mana. If both of these are full, the food is stored at fat, which can be burnt on command to heal health and mana. A very cool skill, really.
Size-shift is really cool. It allows the user to change size at will. In order to become really small or really big you'd need a really high level, but in the case of the LEL, it is used to either become small enough to be eaten by a larger larva so that it can use Parasite on it or to become large enough to easily eat a whole bunch of smaller larvae.
Choose your next (EVOLUTION)
Cannibal (N/A)
A strange creature with the power to shapeshift whatever it feeds upon. The only trait separating the Cannibal from other creatures is its insatiable hunger. No matter how much the Cannibal eats, it will never be fed. Otherwise, the Cannibal can be peaceful, hateful, elusive or any manner of strangeness. With its intelligence it is often considered a Humanoid, however, due to its ability to become any creature it can fully consume, some deem it to either lack a rank fully or to have an unlimited rank.
Eater of Insects (D)
Almost humanoid in shape, this insect-type monster ravages the world in search of other insects, which it will then eat. It possesses powerful toxins and mandibles designed specifically to poison insects and crush the carapace of them.
The Pied Piper(C-)
We are all susceptible to smells. Insects use pheromones to communicate, humanoids use them to pick out suitable mates, or to sniff out the smell of rebellion. The Pied Piper, as weak as it is physically, possesses the impressive ability to manipulate and hypnotize any and all living creatures to do their bidding. This is more effective on certain species (eg. ants, etc) and some species (humanoids) may only be affected by the Pied Piper in certain, strange ways (falling in love, absolute repulsion, ecstasy, etc). The power in this rare creature lies not in its combat abilities but in the chaos it can cause.
Cool, huh? One for cannibalism, one for the LEL itself, and one for pheromone manipulation. Quite clever, if I say so.
Aaaand that's all of them!
The next chapter should be out today or tomorrow, but either way, I'll get to writing the second part of this one once I can't stop myself any longer.
Hope you enjoyed, Spicy Cake! I know you were more interested in the next bunch (so am I, trust me), but I hope you enjoyed these ones anyways!
