Lesser Weaver Lv.7 (F+)
The weak spawn of the C+ ranked Grand Weaver. Weak in individual settings, these web-weaving little creatures usually deal with enemies by either entrapping them in the webs they set up or by simply ganging up on the enemy. If killed, they'll release a pheromone only the Grand Weaver can pick up on.
By the looks of it, we were surrounded by at least one, two, maybe three dozen uniform sets of eyes, all peering out from tangled, sloppy webs. With bodies that white, they could really only blend into these cobwebs.
Hm. To be completely honest, I am just... not afraid. At all. Cat-sized spiders? When I've dealt with stadium-sized toads-? Nuh-uh, I don't mind it. Maybe I should? The only worrying part about this is the fact that just killing one sends out a message to the big momma spider that we're here. Rank C+... same as mine. I can handle it, probably?
"What in the holy above are these-?..." Mal asked, raising his hands to do some sort of magic.
They're lesser wea-,
"Uh, they're like, spiders? Super weak, just don't use any fire like the old man said, apparently the webs are super flammable," Todd said before I had time to even fashion a response. Right, he can see the screen as well... I kind of forgot that, didn't I?
But, he does raise a good point. No fire magic. And, if my old days of ant-burning serve me right, no light magic either. With all those ruled out, what do I have left? Let's see here, a complete list without anything that might burn us all to the ground...
All Available Spells (You are currently able to use 15 Spells)
Blind Lv.1
Two explosions of light are caused in front of the eyes of the opponent, causing temporary(if desired, permanent) blindness. Higher levels allow for strengthened light and therefore strengthened blindness.
Zap Lv.1
Zaps the enemy will a small bolt of lightning. Level decides size, damage and jumping potential.
Fry Lv.1
Fries the enemy by having the user touch some part of them, sending lightning into that part in order to fry it. Can be fatal if used on head, depending on mana and level used.
I took the liberty of also removing All the Judgement spells, since they kind of scare me. But, yeah. Not much to look at, considering that we're surrounded by enemies and Mal has already started chanting something.

Hrm. Maybe, for once, I should try using my skills-? Sure, they haven't done much in terms of combat for me as of this moment, but the pacifying skill was actually quite useful before.
Usefull skills...
Okay now that I think about it I actually have very few (none(?)) combat-related skills, so, uh. But! I can always sing a song! If I first sing the song of calling and then the pacifying one, I should be able to get them all in this area, and once they're here...
Hehehehehe, I've got a plan!
Without asking for any consent from any of my partners, I just straight up get to singing. I chose a different song this time, but cheery none-the-less. Hohohoho, come to me, my little spider friends, come to your unmaker...!!
---------
...The wretched villain is up to something again. This duo, they are simply... Why did I choose this? Indeed, even before this fated meeting had I subjected myself to a life of combat and trial, but following along with a villain and a hero were not part of my plan.
Especially not a hero-villain duo this... queer. A hero few would consider heroic and a villain bearing the face of a man.
A singing man. Yes, that is exactly what that fiendish pixie was taking to now! Raising his voice in some off-beat vaguely northern song whose qualities I can barely describe! Perhaps, this is what the devils in Hell sing as they torture their poor humanoid victims?
...
...Is it me, or are the spider demons growing nearer?...
The villain's singing had momentarily startled me, but we are, indeed, in battle! With enemies in the dozens, too! Act like it, hero! If you do not, we will surely-,
Oh goddess, there's more.
From within those white, frothy trees, more and more spiders emerge, their sap-green eyes staring at us with the greatest bewilderment, a child called to the stream. I recoil, my fingers snapping into place as I recall the spells I can and cannot use. Sometimes I forget the difference.
In situations like this, such mistakes are often fatal.
The final words to the chant slip off my tongue and a ball of mana-made water formed before me. Now to atta-,
A hand shoots out, keeping me where I stand. My eyes meet the hero-, Todd's. There is... amusement, in those glittering eyes of his. That smirk only cements him as knowing exactly what's up. When I look down at the approaching spiders, he simply shakes his head and retracts his hand. A clear message.
I gnaw my teeth together. Damn this. Damn this all to Hell! Very well, ye sinner and faithful! Complete thy song, I'll just stand right here. Ready to be gobbled up.
More spiders floor in to surround us, creating a carpet of white backs and green eyes. As much as I loathed this whole scenario, I refused to move, ne'er a shiver to pass through my legs. The spiders kept only the slightest distance.
And suddenly, as if a switch had been flipped, that accursed villain began singing yet another song, about some farmer's boy who went to heaven or whatnot. The spiders do not more. They stand as still as wooden statues. I glance to the monster, and find him slowly stretching his hands out, still singing.
And then...
A bold of lightning the size of a Longsnake burst out of his open palms, thrusting its electrifying fangs into the first spider it hits, only to quickly jump to the next, and the next, and the next. The bolt spreads like a bundle of tree roots, every spider left in its wake either a charred, smouldering corpse or simply a popped-open gory heap of green flesh. In my days as a pseudo-adventurer, I had never seen anything quite as disgusting.
They were all wiped out in less than a second, and along with them, the song died.
