Hnnggg, doesn't feel like I'm much better at all, really... My whole body feels all crusty and stale, like I've been asleep for way too long. Considering I just evolved, that is probably the case. I don't have time to think much more of anything before a couple of blue boxes pop up.

Man, maybe I should have asked Todd to explain that part to me? I don't feel like it was very well-described. What I'll look like, that is.

Speaking of Todd, I can't really see him... then again, I can't see much of anything. Seems the sun went right on down, didn't it? I'm still in the glade, so I wasn't kidnapped, but...

Holy moly-,, that's-, that's a lot, right? It feels like a lot, considering I started out with exactly nada. Defence is kind of low, but I think I'll be fine, with that much health, not to mention my speed. Gee, that description didn't lie-, that is a lot of mana. More than the wizard had. He isn't much of a comparison though, since, well, I can't really compare him to anything else...

Skills

Master Flight Lv.1

(Active) Grants the ability of flight. The higher the level, the more flexible and quick the flight. Master Flight grants the power of flight, no matter how heavy the body using it or whether or not the user has wings.

Munching Lv. 32

(Active) Eating

Hijack Lv.3

(Active/Passive) Allows the user to hijack the mind and body of a host, causing them to act in favour of the user. In the field of monters, this skill is exclusive to a select few. Among these is the Will 'o Whisperer, which inserts it's fiery abdomen into the neck of the host to override their nervous system and Mana crystal with its own. higher levels grants higher level of control.

Chitin Armour Lv.58

(Passive) Lessens damage against the user. If chitin is cracked, the damage will be more than if without Chitin Armour skill. Healing Chitin Armour takes longer/more mana than healing regular wounds. Exclusive to insects, spiders and insectoids.

Advanced Fire Magic Lv.1

(Active/Passive) Grants the user the ability to use Fire Magic at Advanced levels. The spells included among (Advanced Fire Spells) are those of (Intermediate Fire Magic) and (Basic Fire Magic) along with added ones more suited for combat. These are more powerful, but consume more Mana and requires greater control. (See all available spells)

Fall Damage Reduction Lv.3

(Passive) Reduces the amount of damage caused by falling.

Passive Health Regeneration Lv.27

(Passive, 27 Health/minute) Heals the user passively when Health is lost.

Intermediate Light Magic Lv.1

(Active/Passive) Grants the user the ability to use Light Magic at Intermediate Levels. The spells included among (Intermediate Light Spells) are those of (Novice Light Magic) along with added ones more suited for combat. Despite this, the Light element is usually considered rarer than (Fire, Earth, Wair, Water). (See all available spells)

Mana Absorption Lv.17

(Active, 34 Mana/sec) Allows the user to absorb Mana from another living creature possessing a Mana Crystal by way of touch. Higher level grants higher absorption/sec.

Mind Erase Lv.13

(Active, 42 Mana/use) Use of this skill upon another living creature possessing a nervous system allows the user to erase part of the creature's cognition, whether it be memory, cognition, self, personality, etc. In combination with skill (Hijack), this can allow a user of both to absorb the mind, body and Mana of a victim, irrevocably usurping their life.

System Recon Interference (SRI) Lv.4

Allows the user to view the information of (MOBS), (MONSTERS), and (HUMANOIDS).

Magic Resistance Lv.2

(Passive) Reduces the amount of damage caused by spells. 

Passive Mana Regeneration Lv.1

(Passive, 10 Mana/sec) Regenerates Mana passively when Mana is used.

Faerie's Song (Calling) Lv.1

(Active, only usable as Faerie) Allows the user to burst into song, hypnotizing humanoids in a (100 m) radius to be drawn to the song. Spell is broken if the humanoid is touched or cannot hear the song. 

Faerie's Song (Pacifying) Lv. 1

(Active, only usable as Faerie) Allows the user to burst into song, hypnotizing humanoids in a (100 m) radius to stand still, be calm and inactive. Spell is broken if the humanoid is touched or cannot hear the song. 

Lesser Shapeshifting

(Active, Passive) Allows the user to take the shape of a (Lesser) Faerie. 

Uncertain Trade Lv.1

(Active) When used, this skill will cause the user and target to trade a skill each. The skills chosen are completely random, no matter the level or rarity. Does not have to be consensual. Requires physical touch. Limited to one try per target.

Novice Lightning Magic Lv.1 (Active/Passive) Grants the user the ability to use Lightning Magic at the most basic forms. The spells included among (Novice Lightning Spells) are, despite being at the Novice level, quite strong and well-suited for combat. Lightning as an element is a combination of Light and Fire, and is exceptionally combat-oriented, unlike most other elements which see use outside of battle. (See all available spells)

This... I'm starting to get too many skills. This is way too much to keep track of. 

Some of this does sound a bit suspect, especially that whole "Lesser Faerie" bit. What is a lesser faerie? Who knows?? And, as good skills as they are, I don't really want to sing. Buddy once walked in on my singing to the chickens and he told me I sang well and all, but that does not mean I want to sing to people. At all. Ever. 

The chickens are my friends. They may listen. 

All the magics have been upgraded, and I even got a combat-oriented one, so I'm sure Todd, wherever he is, is happy. 

That said, we do have the trading one... The blue boxes didn't lie much, but this part is... I'm not sure if I want to try it. I'd be fine with losing Mind Erase, but my Flight?... Ah, then again, if I can become somewhat human (as Todd seemed so sure I would be able to), then I won't need flight much, now will I?

Well, I... I guess we'll have to have a try, once he gets over here, that is. 

Hrm. My perspective hasn't changed much. I'm a bit bigger than I was before, but hardly big enough for it to count that much. There's still a lot of light surrounding me, so...

Taking a look at my abdomen, I find out why. My whole body is more insect-like than before, more stable, but it is also quite a lot longer. Most importantly, the ball of mana I used to have has been segmented into a bunch of smaller one in differing sizes. The biggest one is closest to my main body, and it slowly goes smaller. So, my abdomen has become quite long. A long chitin plate covers the upper part of the mana-balls, kind of like the wings on the back of a beetle.

...If I try to, I can actually make the chitin plates move to the sides, revealing a pair of wings. But it's strange, because I also have a pair of normal wings on my back, so... I suddenly have a lot of wings. My legs are also longer, especially the back ones. I'm just... longer, overall. Stronger. I look less like an ant and more like a... I barely know how to describe it, really. 

However, the most important factor is that I am not, in fact, human. At all. I'm an insect. What the shit. So this is why I got the shapeshifting ability, huh...

Oh, shoot, I almost forgot about all my spells! Heck, let's take a look here...

All Available Spells (You are currently able to use 15 Spells)

Heat Lv.2

Used to heat an area by 1 Mana/0.1 Celcius and 1 Mana per cubic diameter. Increase in level lowers the amount of mana needed.

Flare Lv.5 Causes a small explosion. Depending on level, size and properties may be manipulated. Spell can be charged to cause one large explosion or spammed to create many small ones. Ward Lv.1 Creates a ward, defending the user from harm. Size, cost and power increases by level. Whip Lv.1 Allows the user to create and control a flaming whip. Power increases by level and/or mana usage.  Armour Lv.1 Creates armour around the user, due to element being (fire), damage will be incurred if touched.  Perseverance Lv.1 Creates a small bolt of fire which can be sent at a specific target. Speed and power increase with level.  Collar Lv.1 Summons a burning, damage-causing collar around the neck of a chosen target. 

Fireball Lv.16

Creates a ball of flames, size and intensity depending on level and amount of mana poured into it.  Fireflies Lv.8 This spell creates a large amount of small, fly-shaped falls of flame. Power and intensity change with level, amount is dependant on mana used. Bolt Lv.4 Shoots a ray of concentrated fire, draining mana with every second of usage. Intensity changes with level, mana consumption does not.  Intermediate Familiar Lv.1 Summons a familiar of the element (fire). Level of the familiar can be decided by the mana poured into it, and rank is determined by level. Current rank: (F-) Lesser Judgement  Any creature, be it mob, monster or humanoid within range of user will be (JUDGED) upon use, causing damage in direct correlation to their moral character. It costs nothing to use, but the user will also be judged according to their sins.   Tornado Lv.1 Creates a flaming tornado of flames, rising to the skies and burning everything in its path, any and all creatures fought up in this deadly display of fire will be burnt to a crisp before they so much as hit the ground. Level decides strength, tenacity, speed and focus.   Plague Lv.1 Infects a single mana-bearing creature with the Fire Plague. The plague can be passed from creature to creature by saliva, sweat, blood or tears. Three days after infection, the infected creature will burst into flames, their liquids evaporating on the spot. Level decides infectivity and damage.  Comet Storm Lv.1 Summons several powerful comets which crash into the nearby surroundings at random. Level decides amount of comets, damage and focus.   Summon Lesser Wyrm Lv.1 Summons a lesser fire wyrm which abides by the wishes of the summoner. Level decides how long the wyrm is manifested as well as its level.  Shine Lv.1 Creates a small, shining orb of light which can be manipulated by the user at will. The brightness is decided by the amount of mana used, and higher levels allow for less mana for higher brightness.  Blind Lv.1 Two explosions of light are caused in front of the eyes of the opponent, causing temporary(if desired, permanent) blindness. Higher levels allow for strengthened light and therefore strengthened blindness. Halo Lv.1 Summons a ring of light over the head of the user, lighting up the nearby surroundings. Level decides how strong/dim the light is, as well a the cost/sec.   Focused Ray Lv.1 Shoots a focused ray of light at the enemy, causing damage by charring their flesh. Level decides damage, focus and cost/sec.   Sunny Day Lv.1 Causes the sun to shine through, no matter the weather. Level decides how long the sun will shine and how large of an area will be penetrated by its rays.   Judge Judged the enemy. If the enemy's sins outweigh the user, they are judged accordingly. If the user's sins outnumber theirs, they will instead be judged.  Zap Lv.1 Zaps the enemy will a small bolt of lightning. Level decides size, damage and jumping potential.  Fry Lv.1 Fries the enemy by having the user touch some part of them, sending lightning into that part in order to fry it. Can be fatal if used on head, depending on mana and level used. 

...This list is becoming way too long. And those-, those advanced Fire spells... Tornado?... Plague?... This is starting to feel like the kind of stuff that can topple a kingdom...

As I'm thinking, Todd appears out of thin air in a puff of black-mould smoke. I want to cough, but the smoke is gone as soon as it appears. 

Todd must have noticed my gaze, saying "Oh, yeah, uh, you see this mark on my cheek? Black rectangle? You don't choose it yourself. No idea why I got a rectange, would have loved a cool triangle, and black is... very unhero like. If I'm killed, I just dissolve into black smoke! If it'd been yellow it would have looked holy, not disgusting! I always feel like a bad guy throwing down a smoke grenade, hrm."
