"Then what happened next?"
"I noticed you don't seem to get along too well with your classmates. Is there any conflict between you and them?"
Lin Yu made a mental note of those individuals as he inquired further.
"Some of them were from the same primary school as him, and those few get along with everyone in our class," Xia Yue Shan replied nonchalantly.
He didn't continue, and Lin Yu didn't press further. The answer was already apparent in that brief response.
McDonald's service was quick, and both Lin Yu and Xia Yue Shan finished their meal swiftly.
After eating, Lin Yu took Xia Yue Shan out of McDonald's. Standing in front of the blue and white motorcycle, he looked at Xia Yue Shan and asked:
"Do you know where they might be around this time?"
"I know a few places," Xia Yue Shan nodded.
"And for those you don't know, do you know where their homes are?" Lin Yu asked while lighting a cigarette, his tone calm.
"I don't know," Xia Yue Shan shook his head, his breathing becoming a bit rapid, clearly understanding what Lin Yu was hinting at.
But he was still somewhat in disbelief.
Going to their homes?
That was a bit too extreme...
"Then we'll just have to ask around," Lin Yu exhaled a puff of smoke, tossing the barely smoked cigarette to the ground and crushing it underfoot before getting on the motorcycle and starting it.
"Get on," he said, turning his head towards Xia Yue Shan.
"Okay," Xia Yue Shan nodded quickly and hopped onto the rear seat...
...
After stopping by the internet café, Lin Yu lit another cigarette, eyeing the red-cheeked middle schoolers in front of him before turning to Xia Yue Shan and asking:
"Were these the ones who laid hands on you?"
He then gestured towards another group, obviously their companions, with a nod and inquired:
"None of them?"
If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it.
After carefully observing the group, Xia Yue Shan shook his head:
"No."
"Let's go then," Lin Yu said, turning away with the cigarette still in his mouth.
Xia Yue Shan occasionally jogged a few steps to keep up, his face beaming with the thrill of vengeance and admiration for Lin Yu.
His initial hostility towards Lin Yu had completely vanished, now following him closely like a loyal tail.
After the internet café, Lin Yu and Xia Yue Shan visited several other places – a pool hall, a basketball court, a milk tea shop, and so on. They had met with, and taught lessons to, all the significant figures involved, including the white chubby boy from the morning of the first school day.
After turning his fair round face purple, Lin Yu took Xia Yue Shan and left.
"Now there's only one left."
"What was his name?"
"The short one, quite dark?"
Lin Yu recalled the short dark-skinned boy who rallied others to corner Xia Yue Shan after school and asked.
"They call him Li 'Darkie'."
Xia Yue Shan's smile vanished as soon as he mentioned him, his face tightening in obvious deep conflict.
"Do you know where he lives?" Lin Yu inquired.
"I do," Xia Yue Shan nodded.
"Can you handle him?"
Lin Yu pondered for a moment before asking.
"I can," Xia Yue Shan responded without hesitation, his confidence in his abilities apparent.
"Good."
"Let's go."
Mounting the motorcycle again, Lin Yu followed Xia Yue Shan's directions toward 'Darkie's' house.
Upon arrival, nobody was home. They waited in front of the house for half an hour, but still, no one returned, forcing Lin Yu and Xia Yue Shan to leave.
As they rode away, Lin Yu noticed a bustling square and decided to stop. He aimed to stroll around with Xia Yue Shan and take the opportunity to talk, curious about the reason for his loathing toward his sister.
Given Xia Mu Zhu's character, she couldn't possibly be an annoying sister.
And Xia Yue Shan, despite his temper and impulsiveness, wasn't inherently a troublemaker.
Thus, the root cause of their falling out puzzled Lin Yu.
Arriving at a stall selling roasted pork knuckles, Lin Yu paid and quietly waited in line.
"You..."
Turning to Xia Yue Shan, just as Lin Yu was about to inquire why he detested his sister so much, a familiar figure caught his eye.
Seeing the short, soy sauce-colored face not far behind Xia Yue Shan, Lin Yu's lips curled slightly.
What a coincidence.
"Follow me."
Lin Yu tapped the bewildered Xia Yue Shan on the head, who was waiting for him to continue, and walked towards the youth known as Li 'Darkie.'
Approaching Li 'Darkie,' Lin Yu noticed the closely standing middle-aged couple behind the boy and understood the situation.
He extended his hand toward the man, smiling:
"Hello, I'm Lin Yu."
The short middle-aged man, baffled by the sudden appearance of the punk-dressed teenager, knitted his brows, unsure of his intentions, but still extended his hand to maintain a superficial friendliness:
"Do you need something?"
After a brief handshake, Lin Yu retracted his hand, keeping his smile as he explained:
"Well, here's the thing..."
"..."
"He's your son, right?"
Lin Yu hesitated for a moment, feeling it was better to confirm.
"Yes," the middle-aged man nodded.
Assured of the answer, Lin Yu continued with a smile:
"Great, there is a bit of an issue."
"I'm here on behalf of my brother. It seems your son has been bullying him at school, and I've come to settle scores."
"Is your son the one we're talking about?"
"And how do you think I should go about seeking revenge?"
The middle-aged man, thrown off by Lin Yu's audacious words, looked at his son with a dawning realization of the situation, his demeanor shifting completely from initial politeness to intimidating aggression:
"What exactly are you implying?"
With the tension rising, the man scoffed coldly:
"Go on then, my son is right here. Try Hitting Him and See What Happens!"
