Chapter 29:Inescapable Destiny?

The woman, with a steely expression and eyes shimmering slightly with anger, swiftly scanned the entire tavern before her gaze settled firmly on Lin Yu and his group. Observing their extravagant styles and multi-colored hair, the anger in her blue eyes seemed to dissipate somewhat, replaced by a palpable sense of fear.

However, her target was clearly one among Lin Yu's company. Standing there hesitating for a moment, she eventually mustered the courage and approached.

As the woman drew near, Lin Yu seized the opportunity to examine her more closely. She appeared young, likely not older than twenty-five, but exuded a type of maturity beyond that of school-going girls, whether in terms of demeanor or physique.

Perhaps "mature" wasn't the apt description for her. Labeling her as the quintessentially well-developed girl next door might be more apt, considering there was not an ounce of age visible on her, only a strong youthful vibrance.

The reason Lin Yu initially perceived her as mature was purely due to her personal aura. It's like some people embody charm at eighteen while others at twenty-eight still have the youth to pass off as children without a second glance.

And she, presumably the storied secondary female lead of the adult comic, seems to embody what's mythically known as the innate mature charm.

The woman was undoubtedly beautiful, bearing the classic features of Asian beauty – gentle and elegant. Yet, her eyes weren't the typical black of Asians but a deep blue, clean and deep like the ocean, unforgettable to any who glanced upon them.

Her blue eyes in the comic might have been a casual stroke of the artist's pen, but in this reality where everything has a reason, she's likely of mixed heritage or has European ancestry, thus her distinctly blue eyes.

While Lin Yu was observing her, she had already halted in front of the group, her blue orbs veiled with anxiety, fixating on the guy in the blue denim jacket behind Lin Yu. After scrutinizing for a moment, she uncertainly asked, "Are you called Snow?"

Snow, caught by surprise that this striking woman sought him out, glanced around before his face broke into a smug grin amid the envious looks from his companions, responding, "Yeah, that's me. What's up?"

"Are you here for me?"

With grave nodding, the woman's demeanor turned serious as she addressed Snow, "I'm here to tell you to stop bullying my brother at Fourteenth Middle School."

"If you dare to bully him again, I'll go straight to the police!"

Before she could finish, an uproar of laughter erupted among the Black Blood Gang members, their looks filled with mockery towards Snow.

This scene held quite a dramatic flair, resembling the moments after a basketball game with your friends when a stunning woman approaches, inquiring if your friend was the player wearing jersey number eight, only to starkly rebuke him for rough play instead of expressing admiration.

Naturally, Snow was irate, his smile vanishing as his ego bruised publicly. He stood up, about to lambast her, seeking to reclaim his lost dignity, when he was coldly cut off by Lin Yu.

"Shut up."

Having earned high esteem in the gang through recent events and this morning's martial arts instruction, Lin Yu commanded great respect. Even Snow, known for his temper, quelled his anger and obediently returned to his seat at Lin Yu's icy directive.

"Your brother's been bullied?"

Lin Yu inquired, turning to the unnamed female protagonist, "Yes," she affirmed, her voice tinged with indignation, "It happened yesterday afternoon. He went to Fourteenth Middle and beat up my brother, Xi Yue Shan."

"Is that so?" Lin Yu directed his question towards Snow, who scratched his head uncertainly, "I don't know her brother, but yeah, I did get paid to rough up a junior high kid there yesterday."

"Alright then, don't bully her brother anymore."

"And you guys, stay out of Fourteenth Middle from now on," directing his words at the other gang members.

"Got it, Brother Long," they chorused in agreement.

After resolving the matter, Lin Yu asked the woman, "Anything else?"

"No," she responded, seemingly taken aback by how smoothly the issue was resolved, expecting a more confrontational outcome.

"If there's nothing else, you can leave," Lin Yu stated coldly.

"Okay, thank you," with the main issue addressed, she was keen to depart, offering thanks before turning to leave.

"Brother Long, shall we grab some food?" Once the woman left and the episode concluded, the gang members invited Lin Yu for a meal once more.

However, Lin Yu was no longer in the mood, "You guys go ahead. I've just remembered something I need to take care of."

"Oh, alright then, Brother Long, we're off," the crowd dispersively agreed, leaving Lin Yu alone. He sat at the bar, contemplating the lineup of crystal-clear glasses.

Is it fate?
