After gathering Len and Daisy, Owen took the whole family to say a formal goodbye to the Weasleys.
"Luke, we have to keep in touch often, but my owl Errol is a bit old, please don't reply immediately, let him rest a bit more." Ron was reluctant to let go of the little friend he had just made, this new friend was so cool.
"Okay, Ron." Luke dealt somewhat perfunctorily with his over-enthusiastic new friend.
On the way back looking silent Luke's mood was even more exuberant than when he was travelling to Diagon Alley, for the sudden appearance of the Scholars System, he felt like he had bought a new toy, and always couldn't help but want to fiddle with it for a long time, this Scholars System would surely become the biggest help in his current growth.
Back home, the first thing the couple, Owen and Morgan Le Fay, did not do was to set up the expensive flying broom, but instead looked at their youngest son with concern.
"Luke, I know you usually love to read, but I didn't expect you to be this good without saying a word!" Mr Owen struggled to remember his son's usual habits on the way, but it was clear that he had mistakenly brainstormed Luke's few book-reading scenarios, adding to the number of falsehoods.
"Luke, I've never seen you this good normally, how did you know all that knowledge without even going to school, did you know the answers ahead of time?" Len was very surprised, he never thought that this younger brother of his would have the talent to be even more of a learner than he was.
"Luke, how did you do it?" Morgan le Fay stroked her youngest son's hair and carefully smoothed it again.
"Mum, Luke is usually so smart, he just doesn't love to show it as much as Lenn does, usually only Luke can answer all of my questions, Lenn can't even, I've known for a long time that no question is too hard for Luke!" This was Emily who trusted her brother unconditionally, but being so young it didn't occur to her that the others were just annoyed by her questions and deliberately pretended not to be able to answer them to avoid her continued pestering.
"I don't think Luke would know the answer ahead of time either, after all he can't afford to go to Diagon Alley on his own, and the topic this time isn't something that would be written about in a normal wizarding book, it's rather a bit like the ones taught in Muggle Studies, Luke, is this taught in Muggle schools?" Owen finished by dragging both hands over Luke's face for a good long while before patting him on the cheek, "Daisy and the others don't stand a chance, maybe it's time to send Emily to learn as well?"
"I don't want to go to a muggle school!" Emily vetoed her father's proposal in a huff before pouting at Owen again "Dad, I want to stay home with you guys."
"Luke, at what point did you get so good? When you get to school you can surpass Len and give him a run for his money." Daisy, the eldest sister, had often been teased by Lunn about her grades before, and although she was from Ravenclaw and got decent grades, there was obviously a gap between her and Lunn, the top student, who was focusing more on her interests.
Luke had been silent as he had just arrived home when he heard the beep of the Scholastic System.
It was the trance-like female voice of the system that made people feel a little unreliable: "Congratulations to the host, completing the novice trial mission and successfully getting the super prize, the system rewards one lottery draw and one copy of the Magic Spell Application Strategy."
"May I ask the host, do you want to draw a prize now?"
"Of course." Luke felt that these systems are not all faulty, what kind of people would put the prizes not to draw, to know that after obtaining these prizes, even some equipment props mostly need time to be used skilfully, not to mention some of the knowledge abilities that may require a lot of effort to learn to master.
In his brain appeared a giant roulette wheel with seven colours of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, blue and purple, the size of the area corresponding to the seven colours decreasing in order, the bronze-coloured pointer was facing the middle position at the top of the wheel.
"Begin the lottery." The pointer spun rapidly. "Stop!" The pointer stopped at the purple position with the smallest area.
Unauthorized duplication: this narrative has been taken without consent. Report sightings.
"Luck!" Luke was actually a bit surprised after leaping inwardly, the purple colour with the smallest area must represent the most generous reward, "...at least from the view of this body it does appear to be a real European..."
A purple treasure chest popped up. "Open." A line of golden text slowly appeared above.
"Constant Ability Overwatch!" Luke asked the system in surprise, "Is it the ability to remember everything you've seen?"
"The host's current state can only withstand the beginner's Unforgettable, it allows you to remember any text you've seen."
"Just for words? Including hieroglyphics?"
"As long as it meets the basic standards of writing, it's fine."
This was a very practical ability for Luke, who was about to go to Hogwarts, and Luke was very aware of how much time it could save him in the learning process, and how it could put him ahead of the other lesser wizards as well as considerably ahead of Neville Longbottom in terms of starting out...
"Perhaps we have given you too little attention to realise that my son is much better than we know!" Father Owen shook Luke's hand, looking a little self-conscious.
"Dad, I actually quite like to read books, because my memory is very outstanding, the written words, I read them a few times, I can remember them completely, although you may not have noticed, but I actually occasionally peeked at the textbooks of my elder brother and sister and theirs." Luke followed his father's false recollection and uttered the explanation he had been brewing for half a day.
"What? You peeked in my textbooks!" Daisy realised she'd shouted after she'd finished yelling, a little concerned that her brother had seen those middle school scribbles of his.
"Wow, that's amazing." Emily gushed as she ran back to her room and came back out with a thump.
"Luke, try this book and prove it to them." Petite Emily strained to hold a book over, although it wasn't actually any thicker than the others.
"The Poet's Book of Peas and Beans Stories." Luke, who had heard of the storybook before, turned the cover with interest.
"Just the one about The Legend of the Three Brothers." Emily flipped the book over to the story she didn't quite understand at the moment, as she had had Luke read to her many times for stories like The Fountain of Good Fortune.
Luke quickly skimmed through the story, feeling the words one by one as if they were being scanned into his mind.
After reading along just once, Luke was about to hand the storybook back to Emily, but before his little sister could take it, he then handed it back to his big sister Daisy after realising that it was a quiz, and then began to recite, "Once upon a time, there were three brothers who were hurrying down a secluded goat path. It was nearing dusk, and as they walked, they came to a river where the water was too deep to wade through, and too dangerous to swim across. However, the three brothers were skilled in magic, and with a wave of their wands, a bridge appeared over the dangerous and unpredictable water. As they reached the centre of the bridge, a hooded figure blocked their way ......"
Luke's relatives were simply stunned, and it was clear from Daisy's excited, beaming movements that although this article in the story collection was short on words, Luke must have memorised it all word for word.
Never in a million years had it occurred to me that the one with the most potential in the family was actually Luke, who usually had little presence.
"The oldest lived until well after he was very old, when he finally took off his invisibility cloak and gave it to his son, then greeted Death as if he were an old friend meeting, and left the earth as an equal, happy to join him."
Luke finished reciting the story without incident, and the memories of his fusion with the present allowed him to look stinkily over at his excited mother, Morgan Le Fay, "Mum, I'm thirsty."
"Oh, of course. Oh dear, you've been talking for so long!" Morgan le Fay waved her wand and the kettle automatically flew to the sink, the water pipe gurgled with fresh water into the kettle, and the kettle automatically flew to the cooker, where a roaring fire automatically burned underneath it. Even with all the excitement, it was possible to skillfully cast silent spells with a wand-especially in these household magics.
"Praise Merlin, Luke, you're making mummy proud." Morgan le Fay lovingly touched Luke to mess up his hair and carefully re-combed it for him, "This is too slow, Luke get yourself some pumpkin juice and drink it, don't drink too much and spoil your tummy."
"Okay mum, I'll get Emily a bottle too." Luke jumped out of his chair, recalling with some amusement the behaviour of the mother in front of him, who would never have allowed him and Emily, the two youngest children, to have a drink before dinner beforehand.
"You guys must be hungry this late. Daisy, come and help. I think we should make it hearty, make a beef loin pie, haggis pudding with lamb belly ......" Morgan le Fairey landed on his feet and walked towards the kitchen, tugging away Daisy who had been looking rapt after Luke's recitation because of the storybook he was holding in his hand.
Owen and his second son, Len, had already gathered around the flying broom, Neptune, and were talking at length about how to take care of it.
What pureblood wizard could resist the charm of a top quality flying broom? Even Luke, who had fused his memories, was enthusiastic about the sport, especially after trying out the comfort of the excellent cushioning spells attached to the broom.
Little sister Emily, who had been swept off her feet by a bottle of pumpkin juice, still surrounded Luke with questions, thinking her brother was more magical than magic.
After eating and drinking enough, Luke couldn't help but think, "What a wonderful day," before lying down on his bed and falling into dreamland. Plus, it feels awesome to have your sister closest to you!"
