Chapter 18
I went back to the inn with Tessa and we went to my room. The two of us sat on the bed.
Falon:"Don't get to close to that hero Sam."
Tessa:"Why?"
Falon:"I didn't like the way he was looking at you."
Tessa started blushing so I put my arm around her and pulled her in close. I put my hand on her check and turned her face so that our eyes met.
Falon:"I won't let any other man have you."
I came in close and pressed my lips to hers. I brought my hands to her sides and unclipped the bands that held her chest plate on. She did the same for me and the two of us started undressing.
Tessa:"It's my first t-time."
She looked a little worried so I kissed her.
Falon:"I'll start slow."
She didn't seem energetic at first, but after a while she became quite vigorous. We didn't sleep very much that night and I was worried about the fact that she wasn't very quiet. Eventually she fell asleep with her head on my chest so I wrapped my arm around her.
I woke up and Tessa was already gone. I got dressed and gathered up my bed sheets. Since this was a fairly pricy inn they offered laundry for a fee. I went to the front desk and gave them the sheets and some of my clothes.
I went to the mess hall to get something to eat and when I stepped inside I saw Sam.
Sam:"Hey Falon over here."
He smiled at me and waved me over. I didn't want to eat with him, but I decided not to be rude. I sat across from him and ordered some oatmeal and a banana.
Sam:"You were really strong last night did I do any damage?"
Falon:"No."
Sam:"That's sucks, but if I could have used Gleipnir I would have won. Hey could you introduce me to Tessa."
Falon:"No."
My food arrived and I started eating.
Sam:"I think it was fate that I was summoned here to meet Tessa."
Falon:"It's not."
Sam:"I will win her heart with or without your help, but I would like to call you a comrade."
I ate as fast as I could and I only had the banana left now so I picked it up to take it with me.
Falon:"I guess I can't be your comrade. Oh and Tessa spent the night in my room."
Sam went wide eyed and I just turned around and walked out. I felt a sense of triumph as I left and started eating the banana.
I spent the day sparring with some of the knights, but I was a lot better then them when we fought with fists. I asked Gaz to contact the dwarves and ask if they could make special enchanted glasses for me since what I wanted wasn't something Masir could do.
The enchantment I wanted would take a few master class enchanters from the dwarven race. Master enchanters didn't usually work together so I might be the first person to get an item with this kind of enchantment. I was thankful that they offered equipment.
I had Masir enchant my throwing knives to lessen their weight. They wouldn't be as heavy and they would fly faster and further when thrown.
Night had fallen and it was time for the second summoning so I went to where we were last night. Tessa was already there directing knight mages on what to do. She had them each cut themselves and drain a little blood into a few buckets.
She healed them all when they finished and pricked her finger to let her blood drop into each bucket. She used the blood to draw a magic circle like the one Victor used to summon Sam.
Sam joined us after a few minutes. His white clothes aloud me to see him coming from quite a distance and there wasn't a single speck of dirt on them.
After Tessa finished drawing the circle she started chanting something and infusing her mana into the blood circle. It started to faintly glow then just like with Sam a blinding light appeared. It didn't take even half as long as Sam's summoning.
The light died down and standing in the middle was a guy that looked about 20 with black hair. He was thin with a black hoodie on and blue jeans. A few feet in front of him was a dagger stabbed into the ground with shadows dancing around it and a white hilt.
Hero:"Where am I."
Tessa:"We have summoned you to help us defeat the Demon King."
Hero:"Demon King? What the hell are you talking about? Where's that cop?"
Tessa:"You have been summoned to the Dranian Kingdom. We need you to become our hero."
Sam walked up to him.
Sam:"Hey I'm Sam. I know this may be a shock to you, but this is a different world. I was summoned just like you yesterday."
Hero:"Summoned? What do you mean?"
Sam:"This is a world of magic and they summoned us to be hero's who defeat the Demon King."
Hero:"Me a hero. That's funny."
Sam:"You see that dagger over there."
Sam pointed to the dagger with shadows jumping around it.
Sam:"I think that's your weapon. Once you touch it you'll understand how to use it."
The hero walked over to the dagger and picked it up. A look of surprise could be seen on his face.
Sam:"What's it called?"
Hero:"Carnwennan."
Sam:"Oh. So what's your name?"
The hero seemed to think about that question for a few minutes before answering.
Hero:"Call me Jack."
*****************Keltor POV****************
When I first became the Demon King I didn't feel much at all. I did whatever Laya told me, and didn't really care about anything that happened to me.
I still had all my memories from before I became a Demon King and when I think back on that time I can't understand the things I felt in those memories. I felt like I was in a daze for the first few months on the throne.
As I started to realize what was happening I had already personally killed many humans. Once I did understand what was happening all I felt was a feeling of confusion. I didn't understand why I killed or why I even helped the demons.
I didn't have any problems with my new life style, but I didn't really desire anything. I felt like I had no reason in my life as if something was missing. Laya told me that that would change with time, but even after eleven years I still felt that way. If Laya hadn't of been there I wouldn't of continued to help the demons.

I was finally able to mimic my old emotions, and sometimes I could even feel small things. The strongest emotion I had was my desire to keep other men away from Laya. I guessed it could only be love, but I still didn't understand it.
Laya and I wore matching blood red rings on our left ring finger. She made them and once mana is injected into them a set of blood red armor will manifest around the body with a matching sword.
When I met the old me for the first time, I attacked him since he walked in on me and Laya. I felt really pissed at him for interrupting us. Laya had been sneaking into his room at night to steal some of his blood to create a crystal that gives his mana to me.
I wanted to cut him up a little for getting so close to her. I honestly wanted to talk to him a little. I had to retreat since they had back up coming and I didn't want Laya to get hurt.
Laya had gotten use to keeping her illusion up so I had to remind her to take it down. Without her disguise she had black hair with little horns on the top of her forehead and a thin tail that was as long as a leg.
My life felt boring that's why I went out for a walk and found these humans. I had to kill two demons since they would have ruined all the fun I was having. Not all demons are evil , I just didn't bring any of the nice ones with me.
I used telepathy to contact Laya and tell her to keep the demons away from where I was. I wondered why helping these people made me feel good. I led them to a new building to rest in while I tried to find a new hideout.
The plan I gave them was to hide until enough food could be collected to support them when they leave for Haven. I left them and started looking for a new place to hide. I found an abandoned house and used earth magic to construct a hidden room.
When I brought them to the room Mark was still glaring at me. I found him a little annoying so I planned to kill him soon. I thought about how I could make things more interesting.
Through telepathy I asked Laya to send and incubus to one of the human bandit camps nearby to inform them that the demons abandoned the peasants section. I wanted them to come steal and if we ran into them that could be fun.
The incubus was assigned the job of tracking their movements. Laya told me that I couldn't keep playing for long so I new I'd have to go back in a day or two. I spent the night with them and Lucy cuddled up next to me. I remembered Cal when she use to sleep with me.
It was another day before the bandits showed up. I told them I was going to look for food. Laya told me I had to come back today so I decided it was time to get rid of the humans.
The incubus in disguise led the bandits to the hidden room. I waited a few minutes and entered after them. Both Mark and the mother had been killed protecting the girls. The men looked like they were planning a different fate for the girls and they seemed to understand.
When I entered the girls looked towards me and hope appeared in there eyes. I glanced at each one and stopped on Lucy. I saw her swollen red eyes from crying and before the bandits reached the girls I had already killed them all.
I checked on the mother and Mark, but there was no chance of healing. I actually felt really bad whenever I looked at the girls.
Jenny:"What do we do now?"
Lucy and Lilly were now both clinging to me.
Keltor:"There's something I think I should tell you."
Jenny:"What?"
Keltor:"First what do you think about demons?"
Jenny:"Well I was always told they were monsters, but humans aren't very different."
Keltor:"I agree there are good humans and good demons so why do you think the two are fighting?"
Jenny:"Um.....For supremacy?"
Keltor:"That's right both races what to be at the top. Did you know that the demons aren't trying to wipe humans out."
Jenny:"The nobles said that the demons wouldn't let a single human live if captured."
Keltor:"This is just a normal war. Some captives are executed if they hold strong loyalty, but all humans aren't killed. The demons want to bring the human kingdom under there control not crush it."
Jenny:"I guess that makes sense, but why are you telling me this."
Keltor:"Because I work for the demons."
Jenny was obviously surprised and the two other girls backed away from me.
Keltor:"If you would come to our side I can guarantee your safety."
I couldn't understand what she was thinking since her face seemed a little confused.
Jenny:"What will happen to us?"
Keltor:"I will take care of you all and offer you a place with us."
Lucy:"I want to go with him."
I was a little surprised since this was the first time I heard her speak.
Lilly:"But isn't he an enemy."
Keltor:"I'm not if you want to be my friend."
Jenny:"My sisters won't be hurt or treated badly?"
Keltor:"None of you will I promise."
Jenny thought about it for another few minutes then she seemed to have made a decision.
Jenny:"I have decided that we will go with you. I will try to trust what you told me."
Lucy seemed happy and started clinging to me again.
Keltor:"Then follow me. We no longer need to his here."
As we exited the hidden room I let my hair change back to white. All of the girls noticed and seemed quite shocked. Apparently they heard the Demon King has white hair.PREVIOUS CHAPTER-Back to Main Page-NEXT CHAPTER
