"Have you turned insane, Ayesha? " Bruno was yelling at Ayesha

"We had no other choice. Bruno, try to understand."

They were at the Verma forest outskirt camp now as the bounty hunt would start the next day. They camped beside the transport station of Verma forest.

Transporters are a kind of extra modern vehicle system managed by bots. It can run at Mach 1 speed. And there was a good number of stations here and there to provide

transporter services. The transporter looks not much different from a floating metro rail. There is some sort of energy called"magnetic energy" used to cause this floating.

People of this age aren't aware much of these energy systems as this technological stuff is done by the bots.

"Understand what? Like keeping our own back while killing beasts was already a pain in the ass. Now we have a dead weight."

Noah and Musa were listening silently sitting beside the campfire. Suddenly Ron came out of the tent with a heavy face

"I. I think I can keep myself safe ."

Bruno mocked, "hear out these 4 eyes . Do you have any idea about the world outside the academia? Here, even getting distracted meant injury. And look at you, you can't even fight. Whose to be blamed if something happens to you?"

Ron held his head down out of shame.

Now Ayesha raised her voice," Why are you bugging him? I am the one who dragged him in. It's completely my responsibility to protect him. You should be grateful to him. If he had not been there, we had to wait a whole fucking year to try again"

A guy from the nearby tents walked towards them,"*cough*..*cough*...Am I interrupting the lovely chitchat of your squad?"

It was Brock. The illumination of the campfire made him look like a devil without horns.

Ayesha grumbled

"What business do you have here?"

"Oh, oh. The kitten got angry, huh? Calm down, calm down. I was seeing through every squad. "

Ayesha stood up. Giving an angry smile, she said," Oh, Haven't you seen enough? Now you can get lost."

Brock didn't even flinch from his position

"Ah, what a miserable squad, man. One member doesn't have cosmium to fight. And, hahaha....."

Brock broke into laughter "One doesn't even have any cosmium. Your team is fucked up"

Ayesha dashed toward Brock to hit him. Brock, from his instincts, took a combat stance in an instant.

It was the camp leader, a short Arab guy with black hair combed over. He was called Neon.

Brock yelled, "Who the fuck are you to deduct my points? I'll inform this to papa. And you kitten, you want a fight ?Then Com'ere"

Ayesha also yelled ,"HE STARTED THE MESS. WHY I'M THE ONE BEING PUNISHED?"

Neon holding his face down said," You two, get back to your tent. Or I will make you regret ."

Under Neons supervision the situation turned normal in 5 minutes .But Neon himself looked kinda tense. Everyone went to their own tent extinguishing the campfire .

Only Noah could be seen outside smoking . Ayesha noticed her and sat by her .

"Noah, don't get disheartened by that bitches words . Your cosmium is nonetheless efficient . That enhanced vision of yours will let us detect beasts faster."

Noah whispered ,"But what happens when a beast attacks me ?"

"Well, we are always here to save.. "

"And by chance if you people aren't there?"

Ayesha fell silent . She knew Noah wasn't even capable of beating a mutated wasp .

Ayesha finally said ,"Well , we will never leave you alone, I promise. "

Noah pulled the half burnt cigarette from her mouth creating smoke and gave a smile . Ayesha stood to walk to her tent .

"Thank you," Noah suddenly spoke out ,"Thank you squad captain."

Ayesha kept walking toward her tent ,now smiling a bright smile .

She was thinking how Ron could be a help to the squad .Noah at least had a cosmium . Ron doesn't even have one .

Right before entering her tent ,she saw light coming out from Ron's tent .

She peeked into Ron's tent.

Ron was reading a book under a mini floating torch .She tried to take a look at what Ron was reading but couldn't see as the torch was dim.

She still tried to take a peek by changing her position . But she suddenly lost balance and fell inside the tent .

Ron got alerted and shouted,"Who..Who's there?...Ayesha?What are you doing there ?"

Ron bolted toward Ayesha and pulled her up.

"What are you doing here Ayesha? You should be in your tent now ."

Ayesha, still yelping, said,"oh..uh..umm...I was just curious..."

"About what?"

"About what you were reading."

"Oh,that." saying this Ron took the book from the ground . It was an encyclopedia about mutated creatures of Verma forest .

Ayesha was astounded to see what Ron was reading .

Ron, holding his face down ,murmured , " I just didn't want to be useless . I can't fight and I can't even inspect .So I thought I could help you with my knowledge."

Ron was after all the smartest student of the academia in terms of skills and knowledge.

Ayesha was first dumbfounded with his words , but in the next second she holded Ron by his shoulder .

Ron now held up his head .In the dim light of the torch he couldn't see her face clearly.

But her expression was vivid . She became teary with joy.

The thought crossed her mind

"Everyone in my team is fruitful ,Brock .It isn't gonna be 3vs5 or 4vs5 for you as you are thinking .
