Qin Yue raised a brow in confusion.

Did something happen here?

Because of her arrival, the students gathered in front of the class. The hall became crowded in an instant as whispers could be heard among them.

Qin Yue frowned a bit in displeasure.

She really didn't like being looked at like she was some animal in a zoo.

She couldn't remember what she had done to make these people behave like this at all. This was probably the first time she came to the school after coming here so there was no possibility that she offended someone.

Well, it could also be possible that the previous owner was the one who offended someone though.

Just as she was trying to remember if she had provoked someone before, a voice suddenly interrupted from behind her which also set off a commotion between the crowd of students.

"Why are you just standing there? You are blocking the way."

A familiar cold voice came from behind her.

The crowd burst into a bout of discussion after finding out the identity of the person that just arrived.

"Hey, that's the school prince!"

"The school prince and the school belle...I wonder if the news about their engagement is true."

"Of course it is! But who knew that the school belle would actually dare to have another boyfriend. Tsk tsk."

"Right? How shameless."

"How dare she treat the school prince this way? She is going too far!"

Qin Yue turned her head slightly to the side to see Pei Lang and Jiang Mo standing behind her from the corner of her eyes. Right, she forgot that these two were in the same class as hers too.

Hearing the discussions between the students, she more or less got to know the gist of the whole situation.

But a boyfriend? When did she get a boyfriend? How did she not know she had another boyfriend?

No..more like she didn't even have a boyfriend much less another one.

After understanding the whole thing, Qin Yue just shook her head slightly. These people really had too much free time to be gossiping about such false rumours.

"Oi, Ruan Yue Yue! Didn't you hear Ah Lang-"

"The class is about to start. Why are you all gathering around here for? Don't you have your own classes to attend to? And you guys, if you have so much free time to gossip about some stupid rumours, why not just study more instead? Don't go looking at me like I am some alien just because you want to. Be careful not to provoke me."

Before Jiang Mo could finish his sentence, Qin Yue beat him to it and spoke to the crowd of students in a calm way, though her cold voice was laced with threat and her narrowed eyes were sharp like a blade.

No one could meet her eyes directly as they quickly lowered their sight and scrambled off to their own classes. They all knew that the school belle was a proud and arrogant person who meant what she said so they couldn't take the risk of getting to her bad side just because of a gossip.

The students inside the classroom also turned their heads away from her and went back to their seats, fearing that they would provoke this she-devil.

Though some girls were still glaring at her like she massacred their whole family but they just glared and didn't do anything else.

Seeing that the situation had finally been settled and the peace had returned, Qin Yue merely glanced back at the two men behind her indifferently and made her way to her seat at the last row near the window, completely ignoring their dumbfounded face.

Looking at the girl's indifferent back, Pei Lang didn't know why he felt something weird. He really couldn't understand why his heart would flutter whenever he saw her indifferent gaze.

"Ah Lang? Why are you in a daze? Aren't you going in?" Jiang Mo tapped on his shoulder to get his attention after not seeing him react to his calls for a while.

"Hm? It's nothing." Pei Lang quickly shook away the strange feeling and walked inside the class to his seat that was coincidentally besides Qin Yue's seat in the last row. While Jiang Mo's seat was in front of her seat.

Seeing this, Qin Yue just raised a brow at how the story plot was messing with her.

Trying to keep her bound to the male lead to fulfill her role as a cannon fodder? Unfortunately, that won't happen even if it tried to chain her up to the male lead in any way.

She wasn't interested in acting as the malicious second female lead and was instead planning on acting as the villain hidden in the shadows to break the two leads apart.

'Ding dong ding' The bell rang right after the teacher came inside the class.

The teacher took attendance of the students and then told them to self-study for today after explaining some stuffs.

Seeing that there was nothing to do, Qin Yue rested her chin on her palm as she supported her elbow on the desk to gaze outside the window.

The curtains fluttered slightly as a cool breeze blew through the window, blowing her hair lightly.

This scene was taken in by a pair of eyes that was watching her from the side.

Her slightly droopy eyes, the side view of her beautiful face, her long hair fluttering with the wind and her slightly lazy sitting posture let out a very peaceful and languid air around her.

This completely different her made his heart feel somewhat itchy.

Sensing someone's gaze on her, Qin Yue turned her head to the side as her pair of tranquil eyes met with a pair of cold eyes. A slight surprise surfaced in her gaze then it immediately regained its calm, indifferently looking at the owner of those eyes.

This male lead, why was he staring at her like that? Did she do something to provoke him? Was it because of the rumours from before?

But that's not right. Why would he even care whether she cheated on him or not? Not like he liked her anyway. This could even give him a great chance to break the engagement. It was clearly a happy matter.

Or was it that his pride as a man was hurt...?

Well, whatever it was didn't matter to her. If he wanted to stare then just let him be as long as he didn't provoke her.

After thinking along these lines, Qin Yue withdrew her gaze from him and went back to looking out of the window. Completely treating his lingering gaze on her like air.

She has really changed...

Pei Lang thought after the short silent staring competition between them.

She wasn't pretending to be hard-to-get. She really didn't feel anything towards him anymore. Her eyes were too calm, like a tranquil lake water; clear and indifferent.

The cold inside them made people feel like there was a wall between her and them. As if she was in a completely different world of her own, as if they could never get inside her world, inside her line of sight. As if....they were just air to her and not someone worth her care and attention.

Pei Lang felt the itch inside his heart become stronger as a peculiar emotion took root inside him. He wanted to destroy the wall separating them and get inside her world even if by force so that she would put him in her eyes and not treat him so indifferently like that.

Although he didn't know why he felt such intense emotion towards someone he didn't care before but he understood one thing. That the her now had successfully piqued his interest.

The her now gave a much better feeling than the her from before. He didn't feel as irritated and annoyed like he used to when he saw her. The changes in her made him want to find out what really happened to make her become so indifferent in such a short amount of time.

He was someone who always followed his heart and his heart was telling him...to make her his woman!

A slight curve appeared on his lips as his burning gaze never left the person in front of him. He was determined to make her his person.

The whole morning went on in a leisurely manner. And it was finally time for lunch break!

Hearing the bell ring, the class instantly became lively as the students got up from their seats, forming a group of two or more as they went out of the class cheerfully.

Qin Yue raised her head from her arms and stretched her arms in a relaxed way. She somehow fell asleep between the classes and just woke up from the noises around her.

"Do you want to have lunch together, Ruan Yue Yue?"

Qin Yue looked at Pei Lang with a doubtful gaze.

What's wrong with the male lead today? Did he wake up from the wrong side of the bed this morning? He'd been acting strange since before, like staring at her from time to time, suddenly flashing a smile when their eyes met, etc etc.

He probably forgot to take his medicine today.

"No thanks. I'll have lunch with my brother." Qin Yue got up from her seat and walked past him, leaving behind two sentences without giving him another look.

Pei Lang just stared at her receding back as a smile flashed through his eyes.

Qin Yue walked towards the 1st year class B to go to the cafeteria together with her little brother.

Right when she got in front of the door, it was opened from inside.

Seeing her outside, Ruan Jing Xin was stunned for a second.

"Xiao Xin Xin, I came to get you to have lunch together. Let's go to the cafeteria!" Qin Yue smiled after seeing that the person who opened the door was her brother. She then quickly took his hand and pulled him along the way to the cafeteria.

Ruan Jing Xin just let her pull him along as he looked at her, a strange look flashing through his eyes which disappeared as quickly as it came. He opened his mouth to say something but then closed it again.

Qin Yue sensed something wrong with her little brother but when she looked at him, she didn't find anything strange.
