She admitted that she had been treating him nicely because of the task and also because she missed her own brother but these past few days of interacting with him, she had already taken him as her own brother.

In a hidden corner of the school grounds, a few boys were surrounding a boy with his head lowered.

The boys let out a mocking snicker as they looked down upon him from above.

"Why aren't you saying anything? You've been staying quiet all those times we taught you a lesson. Are you an idiot? Or a mute? Tsk. How could the school belle take a liking to someone like you? Just because of your pretty face?"

"Really don't understand what the goddess is even thinking. If she was really fine with anyone, I would have recommended myself to her! I can definitely guarantee that I would have 'satisfied' her well."

"Hah? What? I didn't hear you. Say it again." A guy put his hand near his ears and leaned in as he loudly said that. Others snickered as they looked on like watching a show.

"I said,"don't let out her name from your filthy dog mouth!". Idiots." Ruan Jing Xin curled his lips into a mocking smile as his sharp glare fell upon them which made their hairs raise on ends.

Finding themselves stunned with fear because of his glare, they were embarrassed and turned their shame into anger instead.

"You f*cking bastard! How dare you speak like that!? Beat him up!" A heavy punch fell upon Ruan Jing Xin's face followed with an uppercut on his chin which nearly dislocated his jaw.

He sharply inhaled at the pain and blood seeped out from the corner of his lips.

Another guy threw a powerful kick on his solar plexus which threw him back a few steps and he spat out a mouthful of saliva and blood. His face paled drastically, cold sweat dripping down his forehead due to the pain.

His brows were knitted into a deep frown but he still locked his sharp gaze upon the boys, unwilling to back down.

"Tsk. You are too stubborn for you own good! Fine, I'll teach you a lesson that you would never forget today. Boys, get him!" The guy who was probably the leader of their group clicked his tongue in annoyance. He was ticked off by his attitude.

"We will let you know how much you f*cked up in pissing me off!"

She had been feeling restless since a while ago. She didn't know why but her guts told her that something was wrong and she couldn't settle down at all.
