After decades of domestic conflicts and economic turmoil, America has collectively decided not only to outlaw guns and any form violent weapons, but to outlaw law enforcement itself. In its place, an all encompassing autonomous governance system that surveils, identifies, and measures all actions of citizens and scrutinizes them into ‘friendly points’. A recently developed service called the ‘Quick! app’ has been released to put the everyday consumer in touch with their very own ‘Hero for hire’ to take care of their immediate and not so immediate needs. Plain-Man, who, just as his name implies, is an average American man living in a coastal city, just trying to make ends meet. He downloads the Quick! app, dons a mask, and is sent out daily to do his best to help out and take care of missions, which involves him with corporations, criminal gangs, propaganda organizations, fellow heroes and everyday people.
