Gareth had just found out that Alan had been touched by Crystal he'd heard it was on purpose. Still, he'd already been assaulted by her carers. He informed me that it was impossible for her to do such a horrible thing.
Gareth had no idea, either way, all he's heard was Alan as had been put on life support and moved up to his room where had a team of doctors all working on him. They were informed of what Crystal's power was, and apparently, it had baffled them so they called him not that he knew anything that could help.
Still, Alan was essential, and he had died and yet told that he was alive. It was strange, to say the least. He arrived to find George standing there with confusion in his eyes as he stared through at Alan.
Looking at Alan, it was quite the horror show and complete impossible, His skin had shrunk, and his hair and nail had grown out. His eyes had glassed over and yet checking the monitors. To see that he had brain activity, but if his brain was anything like his body, he'd be dead, hell deader than dead.
They had an IV running in what was supposed to be a vein because he doubted they’d found one, there was also the oxygen machine, Heart pump and nutrients bag.
Inside the observation room, he also was the team of four doctors arguing.
One of them finally spotted Gareth, "Ah Dr Gareth I hope you can help us everything we're seeing is near impossible. He's got no heartbeat of the flow of blood and very little of that, even his bones have reduced amount of marrow in them. It was as if someone had just come along and yanked the most critical parts of the body to operate.
Yeah, his brains are still active and sending signals it's already beyond what an average body could have been involved in it after the bodies shut down."
There was one mistake in the doctor's word, "Dr House, I believe, the subject of normal doesn't apply inside this city. He can affect the very reality of things around him if I'd imagine he ordered himself not to die. Still, as it was so late and his knowledge of the body is limited only his mind is working, that leaves us on how do we repair his body for him to come back. That needs to be your focus."
Dr House pauses from moment fiddling with his pen, "Right, thank you Dr, we'll try our best, but I've never seen anything like this before. We might not be able to do that so easily."
Gareth nodded, “You can only do your best! Good luck.”
Gareth walked over to George, who nodded in recognition. Dr Garet had to admit he could talk to all of the super there were just so many, but he'd done the minimum and introduced himself to them all.
Alan had been one of the few he'd engaged with the most, but he should see what happened, "Hey, George I'm sure you've already been asked, but if you don't mind could you answer them again?"
George sighed, "Yeah, clever kid, I felt his heartbeat disappear, he looks like a mummy lying there all his need is some wraps. I've been told he's still alive, that's amazing."
Gareth smiled and replied, "Indeed everyone one of you has had that reaction on me, I've gotten a bit numb of it. Could you tell us what they were doing?"
"Yeah, things seem to be going well with them, they were holding hands with that quiet joy for Crystal, while I was trying to fly on my dust. They were doing that for a while, talking and watching me fail and try again. Then Alan decided to leave, which made Crystal very excited, I imagine it was something like an agreement for human touch. She jumps forward to hug him in her excitement, she realised what she was down back off it was too late, and he left having his life removed from his body?"
Gareth nodded, listening intently, relieved that it was at least an accident. “That’s for it, How’d the flying go?”
George looked down at him, and flatly said, "I managed to jump up, and my foot did fall through. I hope I get to thank Alan for the idea."
Gareth smiled, "Well, you'd best to keep practising to show off when he comes back."
George finally smiled, "That is what he holds me to do before everything to practise. I'll be flying before he wakes up and I was listening, and you said he'd control reality and if he doesn't want to die, he won't?"
"No, and yes, if he has time to think then he would if she killed Alan before Alan knew it he'd of died."
George's eyebrows rose, “You’ve been thinking of how to defeat him?”
Gareth shrugged, "It was ordered from above, and I've done it for all of you in case someone gets greedy and a god complex."
“Has that happened?”
Gareth had a quick smile, “If it had then you would find out about it because we’d want to tell you.”
George nodded, "Makes sense. It reminds me of the olds the boss always made sure we knew what would happen if someone betrayed him."
“Right, thanks Goerge for the info I’m going to visit Crystal to see how she’s doing.”
George grunted and made no move to join him, Gareth shrugging he left George headed towards the lift going down a dozen floors.
Stepping into the observation room of Crystal, he found the carers both asleep on the desk. Instantly glancing in the room, he saw a body hung there Crystal's feet swinging free of the fallen chair.
The realisation hit Gareth, and he ran out into a room to call anyone who was passing the room as he went through the double door and into Crystal's room. It had boy bands, rockets splattered on the walls, she had plain bedding, the floor was covered in video games, books and clothes.
Kicking his way through the mess, he managed to get to Crystal and hoisted her up into the air, releasing the pressure on her neck. She'd used a few cords to do the deed, it was a few seconds before help arrived and the shouting started as people started running around. A call went out for a knife Gareth barely managed to keep on his feet when extra dead weight landed on him.

But there were enough people around who helped. At some point a medical team had arrived and given her CPR, they managed to get a heartbeat back. After assuring everyone that she won't be dying, they placed her on the bed in her room.
Meanwhile, Gareth gave the orders to have anything that she could hurt himself with removed from the room. Asked for a camera to be put in and to have them feed somewhere far away from the room and for there to be two teams on suicide watch.
Gareth had managed to get back to his room and collapsed on his bed, fully dressed and with his creeping thoughts. What a bloody day, who knew shit was going to go sideways as soon as the other scientists arrived. They were badgering him instantly he'd stepped into the room and on the way out for an emergency.
He'd watched empty rooms get filled with different quantum computers, that were each assigned a job and were completing them at insane levels. Then he'd heard about Alan and then had to deal with Crystal.
He could only hope it was quieter tomorrow as he fell asleep in his clothes. Unfortunately, it wasn't he'd barely gotten a few hours of sleep when his office/bedroom rang. He was told that Elvira had heard of Alan's clash with death and had gone berserk threaten to peacefully end the one responsible.
Ignoring the threats, he remembered that Elvira had gone through with her first venom injection. Gareth asking how it went as confirmation that it was a success he started to wonder if they could use Elvira blood. "Bloody hell we have a building full of supers with unique power surely one could help. Darl I want to know if any of the super can heal people I need a list I'll deal with Elvira."
"Yes, sir," Darl replied.
After washing up, he found a spare pair of clothes which weren’t dirty and slipped into them.
Walking speedily down the corridor as several other scientists all wanting to pick his brain. Which was rapidly fading as the stress, lack of sleep, creeping thoughts, and heartbreak was wearing him thin.
So he avoided them speed-walked passed them until he got to the lift and took it to the Elvira floor and got off. Somehow the building now seemed infested with scientists as he was confronted by two as he was exiting. Rapidly walking passed them too, he faked his apologising as he walked passed.
Getting into the observation room, his eyes went straight to who was tearing up the ceiling. The rest of the room looked as if it had already been torn to shreds, he hit the mic speaking into it. "Hey Elvira, do you really think your master is so easily killed? He's alive but in critical condition, and if you kept acting up, you're going to be getting in the way of us helping him."
She dropped from the ceiling and scratched at the one-way mirror, looking directly at him. Elvira crimson eyes pierced through the window and into his soul the white hair alive in its own fury. Everything about her wanted to consume him alive. "I'll stop as long as you give me the one how did this to Alan, I'll care for her, treat her nicely before her end just hand her over."
Gareth's heart was pounding as he saw Elvira claw gorges out of the thick glass. He knew that Crystal would prefer to hang herself then get cared for by Elvira, “How do you know that it’s a woman?”
Her head tilted to the side, "Thanks for confirming it for me, stupid master has no need for women he has me."
Oh, It seems that even when in such a state she'd not look stupid, it was a fifty-fifty chance of a guess. "Well, you should know she hung herself this morning."
Her head tilted, "hmmm, you're telling the truth, that's a shame she doesn't receive my care and love now."
Gareth gulped, she's a mind reader or something. "Anyway, to help your master, I was just wondering how you'd turn someone into a vampire?"
She smiled, two large fang springs out of her gums, and purple liquid dripped down them, "I've got venoms in these fangs that'll change humans."
“What about your blood would that change someone?”
She was calming down as her hair stopped flowing. Her eyes had faded a little, "Ah yes, I see, my blood is capable of healing people without infecting them. My master designed us he has my sisters locked up in blood farm draining them of their blood to use them as health potions as my master says. I was fortunate enough to catch his eye, so he kept my beside him even gifted me to his friend Alan, yes I'll do this for my master."
"Not so quick Elvira, we need to test it on some volunteers and do some small tests on Alan. We don't want to find out that blood has a bad reaction."
Her eyes brightened, "Whatever you want, but if my master dies, so you'll receive my kindness and love!"
He could feel the tick in his mind twitch, and his heartache as those red eyes returned, the voice travelling through the speakers wasn't one of subservience nor friendliness. "Sure just remember, don't hurt anyone."
She smiled, “My master told me not to so I’ll continue to listen to him while he's alive.”
The room was quiet for a while as the staff took that in, “Thanks, I’ll let you out now just give me a minute.”
He indicated to Darl to follow him outside, once outside and down the hall quite away, he whispered. "I don't know Elvira going to react to Alan's body, but we need to some military guys. I want to you to go commander Boris and have him surround Alan's floor and to turn the lifts off. If you could also ask Dr Helia in the Medical centre to bring the volunteer up here to see me."
He nodded and ran off as He went to Elvira door and opened them, a chill loomed out and sent chills down his back, Elvira was standing right in front of him staring at his soul, his thoughts wheeled, “She couldn’t know she can’t know.”
"You smell fearful, what are you hiding to be scared of?"
Gareth thought quickly, “I’m just worried how you might react if you see Alan in the condition he is in.”
“I won’t hurt anyone but the furniture.” she smiled at him. He could see the broken room behind her and wondered how much furniture the building had gone through. He was quite thankful that Alan could produce and remake them afterwards he broke them.
"Come on, then follow me."
Moving her to Alan's floor, they walked into his room, seeing him lying their Elvira ran over with a shaky voice. "Master, what happened, Dr how'd this happen, how could he be alive?"
“He’s a super, he’s tough.”
“His life is zero, he can’t be alive?”
"Well his body is dead, but his mind is certainly alive," Gareth said confidently.
"I don't think my blood is going to help him, I can survive a lot, but once I'm dead, then my regeneration goes as well, mainly he may have to be alive first."
Gareth ground his teeth, "Bollocks, I'm having a list of people who can heal. Made and we'll go through it, we need to repair his body for him to come back."
"We could still take a shot worth it. We can do a full-body blood transfusion and find some new organs for Alan."
Dr House had stepped in and replied. "We're already producing new internal organs for him include a new brain. We figured that he could if the psychics could transfer his mind to the new brain. We can then replace it; usually, this would be impossible, but Alan ability to stay alive even in death. We believe we can transfer it over with a bit of cooperation from Alan if we can talk?
If we add your blood to the mix, it could improve everything. If you don't mind Elvira, I saw the blood work, and you'd make a perfect blood donor. Since it would be impossible to replace all the veins in the body, my team was hoping that you could heal the veins and muscles?"
Crystal nodded, "Yeah, sure no problem do whatever you want."
Gareth smiled, expecting nothing less from Elvira. "I can get the telepath who's helping Ashley. They've been pretty close lately, so they're probably together somewhere. We still need your blood on someone and a tissue sample to see if it'll all work out. I'll leave that for Dr House to deal with. Helia's sending someone up who volunteered to be healed by Alan but try and re persuade him to partake in the new experiment."
House nodded "no problem, I'll deal with Elvira if that's ok with her?"
She stared at House, “So long as I can return to Alan's side?”
“Of course you can.”
Gareth left headed for Ashley's room, and he found the two girls in silent conversation. Knocking on the window, he drew both of their attention as Julia stood up and paled. At the same time, some of the furniture bent and broke.
Gareth sighed as he watched more furniture being thrown out of his budget. His thought turned to the girl there was always one good thing about telepaths: you don't have to tell them that you've got terrible news they just know as soon as they enter your mind. Hell, they don't have to even enter your mind if it's bothering you they'd know even if they weren't trying to read minds.
He pressed the mic, “So you’ll help?”
Julia turned to Ashley as silent communications as fast a thought passed between them, "Yes We'll help, but we think you'll need all the telepaths. Otherwise, it'll be too much information passing through."
Gareth nodded as he thought of the request and found himself thinking that there were information limits like a copper cable you can send information down it. Still, it's considerably less than the commonly found fibre optic.
Gareth rubbed his forehead as it started aching again as he thought of how many telepaths they had. He was pretty sure they had thirteen when they caught them. A few weren't powerful, but they had other powers. He wondered if he needed them since they wouldn't contribute very much. Julia simply ordered, "All of them, Dr Gareth everyone that has telepath, you're not just transferring his mind but the part of him that's attached to us."
Gareth wanted to ask, but he doubted they'd know much more than him. They called it the void a black hole that they send their emotions and strength, and springs out their superpowers it's perhaps the only constant in the group they have.
It didn't fit in with what the physics experiment as the blasted that ripped through the building didn't require emotions to open, only a vast amount of power the body doesn't have.
He shook his head, dragging himself back into the present, "Great, just listen to your carers and they'll take you to the practice room. While I go collect the other telepaths."
It took the rest of the day to get the telepaths to agree to the experiment. He was now standing in a room with thirteen telepaths, and he couldn't help himself but yawn at the silent conversation that was going on that he could not direct.
Julia stepped forward, "We've come up with our plan, Ashley will talk to Alan and get him to work along with us. She'll direct the operation on the mind front while we'll be the transfer connections. So when will you need us?"
“I’ll talk to Dr House?”
After finding that they'd be ready after the toxins for Elvira blood work its way out. Seeing the burn victim as if he'd never been burned was a fantastic thing to see. A few hours at most, he told everyone to get some shut-eye, and he left for his room to try and get a few precious hours in himself.
