As Milo woke up, his body cried out in agony. Where was he? Didn't he die? Is this heaven? As soon as he woke up, he knew the slums of the city wasn't heaven. But what happened?

Getting up from the blood stained floor, he felt a new weird energy through his body. As he looked around feeling a weird sensation, he heard a snarl in the distance. Inside the alleyway just against the apartment complex of his, he felt strange, like something bad was about to happen any moment.

*GRRRRAAAGGGG*

"Human! Human, human! Kill, blood! Play with goblin! PLAY! KILL!"

Milo's head pounded as a sudden voice was heard in his mind. Looking around through squinted eyes, he saw on the darkness, a small figure. A child? What's a child doing out on the streets by themselves? But he was severely wrong, what he saw come out of the darkness was no child, it was straight out of a horror story.

With green pale skin, yellow beady eyes. With blotches of grim and dirt on its body, covered only in rags. It was like an ugly leprechaun, expect aggressive, ugly and green.

As the monster approached, Milo took a step back a bit surprised. What is this? He's played his fair share of games and he knew what a goblin is, but he didnt think that this would apply to real life. Monsters don't exist, do they?

With his back against the wall, he heard that same cry on his head but this time is was more aggressive and angry.

"PLAY! HUMAN, HUMAN, KILL! BLOOD!"

Stumbling back, Milo didn't know what to do, or what was even happening. Is this a dream? But it's was too vivid and he felt the cool air and musky aroma of the apartment. Standing with his back against the wall, he saw in the corner of his eyes, a logo.

Focusing on it more, it revealed a menu? As it opened up in his face, startling him, he saw text in the menu, stats, paths and map. It was quite familiar to Milo as his games had similar functions, but that was in a game. This is real life, how is this possible?

Clicking on the stats, he saw another screen pop up, it showed his stats. From his perspective, it looked like he was a intelligence based build. Never mind that, first was the problem in front of him. What does he do about the approaching goblin?

Below his stats, he saw his skills. Should he use one of them? Looking at his options, he clicked on Body Morph.

Body Morph: Concentrate on a specific part of your body to morph or change. Costs 10 stamina. Duration and effectiveness is based on vitality and level of skill.

Trying to concentrate on his arm, he felt a sensation tingle throughout his body. As his arm burned, changes started appearing. As the fingers connected and mushed together, as bone fused with bone, a sort of blade like arm was left. Looking at his arm, he couldn't help but exclaim in excitement.

If this was a dream, it was one of his coolest. Hearing the goblin not far from him, he put on a stance with his blade arm out stretched. The best he could do was puncture a hole in it or cut it a little bit. He hadn't been in a fight since Highschool and that fight was over who could go first in the canteen.

As the goblin madly ran at him, above it he saw text like the ones on his screen. 'Goblin lvl 3' if this was true, then he was out levelled. He needed to be careful, but deep down in his heart he was a bit careless. Like, what can a goblin do?

Slashing his blade arm towards the goblin he simply leaned to the side and swung his club. To be honest Milo was taken back, this was supposed to be a weak mob, what was this dodging? Leaping away from its attack, he put up a stance again.

Milo sighed defeatedly and tried attacking again. Striking the goblin, he stupidly aimed at his club at all times. Maybe because of his nature or trauma, he just couldn't get himself to kill. As his attacks became more and more weak and pathetic, he knew it was no use. So he backed off and turned off his body morph.

Milo chuckled almost happily, he wondered why? Sighing, he looked for another way out.
