Ch.31 Hatred of an Evil God.

Ch.31 Hatred of an Evil God.

In a palace made of gold sat a tall man in a black suit. Everything in this palace appeared to be made of something valuable. Even the lights were glowing pearls the size of a human head. His chair appeared to be more of a throne than the table seat. The man with slick black hair drank a dark red liquid from a teacup. Close inspection would reveal it to be the blood of some unknown creature. This six-foot tall man had unnaturally pale skin and flashy diamond-encrusted shoes. This being sat pondering what to do about something. The man suddenly stood up making his chair fall backward in a loud boom.

"That's it! Urgam your presence is needed!!" The dark man bellowed.

"Yes my lord?" replied a being that seemingly formed from the shadows in the room. This figure appeared to be the shape of a man made of black clouds or fog.

The man clad in all black and covered in jewels grinned at his servant, "I have it! I have found the means to destroy that mortal."

"How is that my lord? Didn't Arcway make him invisible to our scrying?" The man of shadow called Urgam questioned.

"Yes he did, but The system log shows it was a male infant elf that broke the curse. Only a reincarnated soul could be that powerful and knowledgable. This Rick was the only soul to completely disappear from earth records. A ghost girl left, but that was shortly after the curse was broken." The God stated like a mastermind.

"I don't understand my lord?" Urgam stated confused.

"Don't you get it? This whole time we've been ignoring her as irrelevant, but she knew him in his past life. If she came to that world like the log says then she is most likely with him. He may be unable to be scryed, but I doubt Arcway thought to block her out." The dark lord said.

"Are you sure it was that man named Rick?" Urgam the shadow asked nervously.

The lord turned to his servant confidently "Yes, it has to be him! The man's job involved researching and theorizing about souls." Retrieving a photo from his pocket, The lord studied the image. The man in the picture was Rick who had grown out his brown hair on one side to cover the spots that hair did not grow because of burn scars. Rick's left eye in the photo appeared somewhat white/silver in color having lost most of its vision.

"So, we attack her, and even if he's not there he will then likely come to us?" The shadow servant inquired.

A wicked grin plastered man's pale face " When he fell in his last life it was her who picked up the pieces of a broken man. I doubt after that he has no love for her, and if she is his lover, then I believe he would put his head below our guillotine willingly to save her. Not that his sacrifice would save the rest of the elves anyway though."

"Since he was born an elf his fate was to be sacrificed from the beginning. Especially since he is clearly the chosen one." The shadow monotoned.

"A naive notion since I would never let the elves thrive. They must die so that their goddess Aeris can finally be exterminated. The fact that he dared to cleanse one of my curses just made it personal!" The tall lord fumed his face distorting showing immense hatred. A facial expression so beastly it would make children run in terror.

"To use a man's beloved to destroy him. You are truly the highest Evil my lord Muiren!" Urgam laughed echoing amongst the palace halls.

"It will not take long since we already know he resides in the wildlands. All we need is to scry a significant landmark. Something like a major river, valley, or mountain." The Evil God speculated.
