Nothus

As Drew passed out on the floor Nothus sighed to himself.

"Really what was the point of summoning him if he's just gonna go and find his path without any help."

After carrying the kid to a spare bed and settling him in Nothus went to his own room to sleep as well.

"He won't be up for a bit anyways might as well get some sleep, can't be sleeping when he wakes up after all"

Nothus lays down and falls into slumber.

Nothus finds himself conscious without being awake.

"Ah I see not gonna get any good sleep tonight huh" he says to himself as a figure makes itself present in front of him.

"Hello Nothus glad to see you succeeded with your summon, congrats with teaching him so fast. Truly the perfect student eh." Said the figure with a jovial tone.

"You know this isn't what I was hoping for." Nothus retorted. "Anyways what do you want I can't imagine the one and only travels would pop in for a casual chat."

"Well of course I've come to collect on my end of the bargain, after all you are done teaching the boy I imagine." Said travels

"You know I was hoping the mentorship would take more then 10 minutes."

"Well what were you expecting, what would the perfect student need from a mentor. Anyways I am kind you will have one week to get your affairs in order. Afterwards I shall have a carrige waiting for you in front of the tower it shall take you to my task. Anyways I must be off you aren't the only person I need to speak with tonight" and with that she disappeared leaving a weary Nothus to return to sleep.

Drew was suddenly aware.

"Uhh what's going on here" he asked warily.

"Hello there Drew, I figured I'd answer a few questions for you, since it's kinda my fault you're here" Said a presence.

"Uh okay um, who are you, where am I, and why me."

"I am traveler, the short explanation of what I am is a god although that's not the whole picture. You are currently in communion it's how God's communicate with mortals, think of it as a dream you will remember, and you were chosen because Nothus set parameter on his summon that you matched thus it grabbed you."

"Okay so gods are real ish, and this is a dream also ish. And It was essentially luck?"

"Glad to see you are quick on the uptake, although I guess that makes sense for the perfect student."

"Was perfect student one of the parameters on his summoning?"

"Yes among others I won't spoil, but be sure you will not have a hard time finding your way around this world. And with that I'll leave you to finish your sleep, good luck if you need help with your future travels send a prayer my way." And with that she poofed out of the dream space.

"Well that was informative" he said with a yawn as his consciousness closed back in.
