King = (k) 100%
Queen =(q) 100%
Rook =(r) 0%
Bishop =(b) 0%
Knight =(n) 0%
Pawn =(p) 0%
Now that you have mastered the queen. It is time to master the rook. This will be incredibly fast as it is like the queen, but lacks the ability to move diagonally.

You already have experience with playing around with these pieces. So do what you have been doing and make sure the text updates in your mind when you move the piece around.
By this point, you shouldn't even need to break it down into chunks anymore.
This step is so easy that we will be doing another exercise in addition.
It is time to program in your mind, how to 'castle'.
This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.
Now we will be creating a board with more then one piece.
We will use two pieces you have already unlocked and constructed.

The king is always on the e column. You'll notice it is also on the square opposite of its color. So the white king is on the black square. While the black king is on the white square.
So to initiate the 'castle'. You have two choices.
Left or right.
The king can only move two squares when doing this move. You then do something rather unique in this game. You have the rook jump over the king
So imagine this:
8=(r)A8wB8b*C8wD8b(k)E8wF8b*G8w(r)H8b
7=A7bB7wC7bD7wE7bF7wG7bH7w

2=A2wB2bC2wD2bE2wF2bG2wH2b
1=(r)A1bB1w*C1bD1w(k)E1bF1w*G1b(r)H1w
There are a few rules you need to know for this move. The king needs to have not moved from its initial location. The same is for the rook. If you move the rook on the left. Then you can only castle with the rook on the right (this includes moving it back and forth. If you move the rook/king at all, you nullify the option to castle later). You also can't use this move to get out of check or put yourself into check.
The entire space must be clear as well. Nothing can be in the way for this special move.
Your passwords should look like this after performing the move.
This is going right:
8=(r)A8wB8b*C8wD8b(k)E8wF8b*G8w(r)H8b
7=A7bB7wC7bD7wE7bF7wG7bH7w

This is going left:
8=(r)A8wB8b*C8wD8b(k)E8wF8b*G8w(r)H8b
7=A7bB7wC7bD7wE7bF7wG7bH7w

I'm sure you noticed this as well, but now there is an opponent in the example above. We will work on creating a 'tulpa' later as your opponent.
Spend a week playing around with this concept in your mind. Then continue this inheritance.
