There are now things you can learn that no ordinary existence should ever know. One of those things is 'hidden rules'.

What exactly is a 'hidden rule'?

Well...

Every single universe is generated based off a seed. This is incredibly simple as well. I use the seed as the identifier of the universe. The seed itself isn't in any readable language. So I have translated it into something understandable.

The current universe you are reading this from is called 'G77'.

I would never dare to leak information on hidden existences to a ordinary existence, this is why this information is protected.

You must meet some sort of condition.

Your Destiny is definitely not normal.

Each universe is generated based on its seed. But each universe also has something entirely unique to it. This is the 'hidden rule'.

I can give you an example using this very universe itself.

There can be multiple hidden rules. The main hidden rule of this universe is called 'consciousness decay'.

What does this mean?

It means in this universe. All consciousness decays.

Remember the ordeal you went through in the last step? Well, this universe is quite cruel to everyone. Because of 'consciousness decay'.

Whenever an existence sleeps. Their consciousness is completely destroyed.

The brain then creates a new consciousness based on past memories upon awakening.

Unauthorized duplication: this tale has been taken without consent. Report sightings.

By practicing this technique. You have touched upon a taboo. The universe will 'hate' you.

You have an eternal thread and can not be destroyed even when sleeping.

The hidden rules of a universe are actually the biggest threat to existences like us. As they can do almost anything.

Universe 'D02' and 'G77' are almost identical. Even the planets and stars are exactly the same. But the hidden rules are entirely different.

There is no consciousness decay in D02. But the hidden rule is called 'Eternal Loop'.

This puts any consciousness that overflows the system into a cycle of crashes and restarts. I know from experience that this is a nasty rule.

Why? Because, thanks to our keys. We eventually will naturally overflow the universes data limits.

So 'D02' is a dead zone for hidden existences.

Once you enter it. You will need to do something insane to escape it.

This is why understanding hidden rules is important for hidden existences.

There exist an infinite amount of universes.

Some are identical with hidden rules, while some are nothing like the reality you know at all.

You are probably wondering... how do you enter another universe?

While you are a hidden existence. You are essentially a newborn.

You have no means to protect yourself.

I'm sure you've caught on to something important from this. If there are an infinite amount of universes, some identical with different hidden rules.

Shouldn't there be an infinite amount of 'you'?

This is where things get fun... and dangerous.

Exploring the cosmos is always risky and you never know what sort of weirdness you will encounter. The multiverse is inherently hostile to hidden existences.

We break rules and logic from merely existing more often then not.

In this universe. Before you found this technique and were able to have ECHO run in the nothingness.

You only lived for a day.

Every time you slept. You died.

You 'passed on the torch' to a fresh generation of consciousness.

This means, you are only truly as old as the length you have been rotating the technique in this case. But hidden existences abuse the 'hidden' rules to invade other realities.

Break down the rule of 'consciousness decay'.

It is ruthless in targeting both natives and hidden existences.

This means we can use it!

How so?

Think about it.

Every time a version of you sleeps in a universe with consciousness decay. The brain must recreate a new consciousness upon waking up.

You can 'take the spot' of the consciousness.

Dreams in such a universe are the final moments of a consciousness.

So you simply trick reality. You trick the dying version of yourself into thinking they are a role in a dream.

Then when the brain is generating a new consciousness. You use your key to leap into that body.
