The walk back was mostly uneventful, though John was noticeably more sluggish than the rest of the group. "Alright boys, we're almost home. So once we get to the gates I want you all to go your separate ways and get some rest. We've had a long day and you boys deserve it. Especially you John, one of the side effects of healing so quickly is that it saps your stamina, so I recommend hearty foods and lots of sleep."
As they approached the gate Boyd once more piped up. "Oh, and lads. Try not to mention John's little mishap, might give the CDF a bad name." John hurriedly shook his head in agreement and the rest of the boys replied in the affirmation before splitting up.
Arriving at the forge, Ozlo opened the door to find Burgin sitting at the table nursing a mug. "Lad, you're back. Good, good. No injuries then?" Ozlo shook his head from side to side before responding. "Nope, I didn't get injured at all."

Burgin, ignoring Ozlo's answer walked over to Ozlo and eyed him up from top to bottom. "Good, good. Did you have fun lad? Make some shards at least?" Ozlo nodded yes, and yes, and Burgin gave him a small smile. "Good, good. Ahem, that means that my only apprentice won't be missing any work. The forge needs you lad, even if your job doesn't seem all that complicated."
Burgin promptly turned around and headed for his room. "Go on lad, get some rest. Big day ahead of us." Ozlo, knowing when he's been dismissed, and tired from the days strenuous activities, went up to his room and laid in his bed. And laid in his bed, and laid in his bed, and eventually, after hours of trying, fell asleep.
